ਸੱਚੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ, ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਡਰ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Reflecting on the True Word of the Shabad, death is overcome.
ਢਾਢੀ ਕਥੇ ਅਕਥੁ; ਸਬਦਿ ਸਵਾਰਿਆ ॥

ਜੱਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਕਹਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦਾ ਉਚਾਰਣ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਿਗਾਰਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
Speaking the Unspoken Speech of the Lord, one is adorned with the Word of His Shabad.
ਨਾਨਕ. ਗੁਣ ਗਹਿ ਰਾਸਿ; ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਮਿਲੇ ਪਿਆਰਿਆ ॥੨੩॥

ਨੇਕੀ ਦੀ ਪੂੰਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਘੁੱਟ ਕੇ ਫੜ ਰੱਖਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਨੇ ਪੂਜਯ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਟ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
Nanak holds tight to the Treasure of Virtue, and meets with the Dear, Beloved Lord. ||23||

ਸਲੋਕ, ਪਹਿਲੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ।
Salok, First Mehl:
ਖਤਿਅਹੁ ਜੰਮੇ. ਖਤੇ ਕਰਨਿ; ਤ ਖਤਿਆ ਵਿਚਿ ਪਾਹਿ ॥

ਪਾਪਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਤੇ ਪਾਪ ਕਮਾਉਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੈ।
Born because of the karma of their past mistakes, they make more mistakes, and fall into mistakes.
ਧੋਤੇ. ਮੂਲਿ ਨ ਉਤਰਹਿ; ਜੇ ਸਉ ਧੋਵਣ ਪਾਹਿ ॥
dhote. mool na utareh; je sau dhovan paeh |
ਧੋਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ, ਪਾਪ ਕਦਾਚਿੱਤ ਦੂਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ, ਭਾਵੇਂ ਸੈਕੜੇ ਧੋਆਂ ਪਾਈਆਂ ਜਾਣ।
By washing, their pollution is not removed, even though they may wash hundreds of times.
ਨਾਨਕ. ਬਖਸੇ ਬਖਸੀਅਹਿ; ਨਾਹਿ ਤ. ਪਾਹੀ ਪਾਹਿ ॥੧॥

ਨਾਨਕ, ਜੇਕਰ ਮਾਲਕ ਮਾਫੀ ਦੇਵੇ, ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਬਖਸ਼ੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੁੱਤੀਆਂ ਪੈਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
O Nanak, if God forgives, they are forgiven; otherwise, they are kicked and beaten. ||1||

ਪਹਿਲੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ।
First Mehl:
ਨਾਨਕ. ਬੋਲਣੁ ਝਖਣਾ; ਦੁਖ ਛਡਿ ਮੰਗੀਅਹਿ ਸੁਖ ॥

ਤਕਲੀਫ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ, ਆਰਾਮ ਦੀ ਯਾਚਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਫਜੂਲ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ!
O Nanak, it is absurd to ask to be spared from pain by begging for comfort.
ਸੁਖੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਦੁਇ. ਦਰਿ ਕਪੜੇ; ਪਹਿਰਹਿ ਜਾਇ ਮਨੁਖ ॥

ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਤੇ ਗਮੀ ਦੋ ਪੁਸ਼ਾਕਾਂ ਸਾਈਂ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਨਣ ਲਈ ਮਿਲੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
Pleasure and pain are the two garments given, to be worn in the Court of the Lord.
ਜਿਥੈ ਬੋਲਣਿ ਹਾਰੀਐ; ਤਿਥੈ ਚੰਗੀ ਚੁਪ ॥੨॥

ਜਿਥੇ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਨੇ ਆਖਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸ਼ਿਕਸਤ ਹੀ ਖਾਣੀ ਹੈ ਉਥੇ ਖਾਮੋਸ਼ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਹੀ ਭਲਾ ਹੈ।
Where you are bound to lose by speaking, there, you ought to remain silent. ||2||

ਚਾਰੇ ਕੁੰਡਾ ਦੇਖਿ; ਅੰਦਰੁ ਭਾਲਿਆ ॥

ਚਾਰਾਂ ਹੀ ਪਾਸਿਆਂ ਵੱਲ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਤ੍ਰੀਵ ਦੀ ਖੋਜ ਭਾਲ ਕੀਤੀ।
After looking around in the four directions, I looked within my own self.
ਸਚੈ ਪੁਰਖਿ ਅਲਖਿ; ਸਿਰਜਿ ਨਿਹਾਲਿਆ ॥

ਉਥੇ ਮੈਂ ਅਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਸੱਚਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ ਤੱਕ ਲਿਆ।
There, I saw the True, Invisible Lord Creator.
ਉਝੜਿ ਭੁਲੇ ਰਾਹ; ਗੁਰਿ ਵੇਖਾਲਿਆ ॥
aujharr bhule raah; gur vekhaaliaa |
ਮੈਂ ਬੀਆਬਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਰਾਹੇ ਪੈ ਗਿਆ ਸਾਂ। ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਗ ਦਿਖਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
I was wandering in the wilderness, but now the Guru has shown me the Way.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸਚੇ ਵਾਹੁ; ਸਚੁ ਸਮਾਲਿਆ ॥
satigur sache vaahu; sach samaaliaa |
ਸ਼ਾਬਾਸ਼ ਹੈ, ਸੱਚੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਮੈਂ ਸੱਚੇ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
Hail to the True, True Guru, through whom we merge in the Truth.
ਪਾਇਆ ਰਤਨੁ ਘਰਾਹੁ; ਦੀਵਾ ਬਾਲਿਆ ॥

ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੀਪ ਜਗਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਮਾਣਕ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
I have found the jewel within the home of my own self; the lamp within has been lit.
ਸਚੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਲਾਹਿ; ਸੁਖੀਏ ਸਚ ਵਾਲਿਆ ॥

ਸੱਚੇ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਜੋ ਸੱਚੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਮਹਿਮਾਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਆਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
Those who praise the True Word of the Shabad, abide in the peace of Truth.
ਨਿਡਰਿਆ ਡਰੁ ਲਗਿ; ਗਰਬਿ ਸਿ ਗਾਲਿਆ ॥
niddariaa ddar lag; garab si gaaliaa |
ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਭੈਅ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਹਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੈਅ ਚਿਮੜਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਵੈ-ਹੰਗਤਾ ਨੇ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
But those who do not have the Fear of God, are overtaken by fear. They are destroyed by their own pride.
ਨਾਵਹੁ ਭੁਲਾ ਜਗੁ; ਫਿਰੈ ਬੇਤਾਲਿਆ ॥੨੪॥

ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸਾਰ ਕੇ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਭੂਤਨੇ ਦੀ ਮਾਨਿੰਦ ਭਟਕਦੀ ਫਿਰਦੀ ਹੈ।
Having forgotten the Name, the world is roaming around like a wild demon. ||24||

ਸਲੋਕ ਤੀਜੀ ਪਾਦਸ਼ਾਹੀ।
Salok, Third Mehl:
ਭੈ ਵਿਚਿ ਜੰਮੈ. ਭੈ ਮਰੈ; ਭੀ ਭਉ ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਹੋਇ ॥
bhai vich jamai. bhai marai; bhee bhau man meh hoe |
ਡਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਦਮੀ ਜੰਮਦਾ ਹੈ, ਡਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਡਰ ਸਦਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ।
In fear we are born, and in fear we die. Fear is always present in the mind.
ਨਾਨਕ. ਭੈ ਵਿਚਿ ਜੇ ਮਰੈ; ਸਹਿਲਾ ਆਇਆ ਸੋਇ ॥੧॥

ਨਾਨਕ ਜੇਕਰ ਬੰਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਡਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਫੌਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਏ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਆਗਮਨ ਸਫਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
O Nanak, if one dies in the fear of God, his coming into the world is blessed and approved. ||1||

ਤੀਜੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ।
Third Mehl:
ਭੈ ਵਿਣੁ ਜੀਵੈ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਬਹੁਤੁ; ਖੁਸੀਆ ਖੁਸੀ ਕਮਾਇ ॥
bhai vin jeevai bahut bahut; khuseea khusee kamaae |
ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਡਰ ਦੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਜੀਵ ਬਹੁਤ ਜਿਆਦਾ ਚਿਰ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੌਜਾਂ ਹੀ ਮੌਜਾਂ ਮਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ।
Without the fear of God, you may live very, very long, and savor the most enjoyable pleasures.
ਨਾਨਕ. ਭੈ ਵਿਣੁ ਜੇ ਮਰੈ; ਮੁਹਿ ਕਾਲੈ ਉਠਿ ਜਾਇ ॥੨॥

ਨਾਨਕ ਜੇਕਰ ਉਹ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਡਰ ਦੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਮਰ ਜਾਵੇ ਉਹ ਸਿਆਹ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਖੜਾ ਹੋ ਟੁਰ ਜਾਏਗਾ।
O Nanak, if you die without the fear of God, you will arise and depart with a blackened face. ||2||

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਹੋਇ ਦਇਆਲੁ; ਤ ਸਰਧਾ ਪੂਰੀਐ ॥

ਜਦ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤਾਂ ਸਧਰ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
When the True Guru is merciful, then your desires will be fulfilled.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਹੋਇ ਦਇਆਲੁ; ਨ ਕਬਹੂੰ ਝੂਰੀਐ ॥
satigur hoe deaal; na kabahoon jhooreeai |
ਜਦ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਬੰਦਾ ਕਦਾਚਿੱਤ ਪਛਤਾਉਂਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ।
When the True Guru is merciful, you will never grieve.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਹੋਇ ਦਇਆਲੁ; ਤਾ ਦੁਖੁ. ਨ ਜਾਣੀਐ ॥

ਜਦ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਤਦ ਬੰਦਾ ਤਕਲੀਫ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ।
When the True Guru is merciful, you will know no pain.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਹੋਇ ਦਇਆਲੁ; ਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗੁ ਮਾਣੀਐ ॥

ਜਦ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤਦੋਂ ਆਦਮੀ ਰੱਬ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
When the True Guru is merciful, you will enjoy the Lord's Love.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਹੋਇ ਦਇਆਲੁ; ਤਾ ਜਮ ਕਾ ਡਰੁ ਕੇਹਾ ॥

ਜਦ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤਦ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਤ੍ਰਾਹ ਕਾਹਦਾ ਹੈ?
When the True Guru is merciful, then why should you fear death?
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਹੋਇ ਦਇਆਲੁ; ਤਾ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਸੁਖੁ ਦੇਹਾ ॥

ਜਦ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤਦ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਆਰਾਮ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
When the True Guru is merciful, the body is always at peace.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਹੋਇ ਦਇਆਲੁ; ਤਾ ਨਵ ਨਿਧਿ ਪਾਈਐ ॥

ਜਦ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤਦ ਨੌਂ ਖਜਾਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
When the True Guru is merciful, the nine treasures are obtained.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਹੋਇ ਦਇਆਲੁ; ਤ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਈਐ ॥੨੫॥

ਜਦ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤਦ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਸੱਚੇ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਅੰਦਰ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
When the True Guru is merciful, you shall be absorbed in the True Lord. ||25||

ਸਿਰੁ ਖੋਹਾਇ. ਪੀਅਹਿ ਮਲਵਾਣੀ; ਜੂਠਾ ਮੰਗਿ ਮੰਗਿ ਖਾਹੀ ॥
sir khohaae. peeeh malavaanee; jootthaa mang mang khaahee |
ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੂੰਡ ਪੁਟਵਾਉਂਦੇ, ਮੈਲਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਜੂਠ ਬਾਰ ਬਾਰ ਮੰਗਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਖਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
They pluck the hair out of their heads, and drink in filthy water; they beg endlessly and eat the garbage which others have thrown away.
ਫੋਲਿ ਫਦੀਹਤਿ. ਮੁਹਿ ਲੈਨਿ ਭੜਾਸਾ; ਪਾਣੀ ਦੇਖਿ ਸਗਾਹੀ ॥

ਉਹ ਗੰਦਗੀ ਨੂੰ ਖਿਲਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਆਪਣੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਹਵਾੜਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਖਿਚਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਜਲ ਵੇਖਣ ਤੋਂ ਤਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
They spread manure, they suck in rotting smells, and they are afraid of clean water.
ਭੇਡਾ ਵਾਗੀ. ਸਿਰੁ ਖੋਹਾਇਨਿ; ਭਰੀਅਨਿ ਹਥ ਸੁਆਹੀ ॥
bheddaa vaagee. sir khohaaein; bhareean hath suaahee |
ਰਾਖ ਨਾਲ ਲਿਬੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਨਿੰਦ ਊਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੂੰਡ ਪੁਟਵਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Their hands are smeared with ashes, and the hair on their heads is plucked out-they are like sheep!
ਮਾਊ ਪੀਊ ਕਿਰਤੁ ਗਵਾਇਨਿ; ਟਬਰ ਰੋਵਨਿ ਧਾਹੀ ॥

ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੰਮੜੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਬਾਬਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਿਤ ਦੀ ਮਰਿਆਦਾ ਉਹ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਕ ਸੈਨ ਭੁੱਬਾਂ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਰੋਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
They have renounced the lifestyle of their mothers and fathers, and their families and relatives cry out in distress.
ਓਨਾ. ਪਿੰਡੁ ਨ ਪਤਲਿ. ਕਿਰਿਆ ਨ ਦੀਵਾ; ਮੁਏ. ਕਿਥਾਊ ਪਾਹੀ ॥
onaa. pindd na patal. kiriaa na deevaa; mue. kithaaoo paahee |
ਊਹਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਕੋਈ ਜਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੰਨੇ ਅਤੇ ਪੱਤਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੰਦਾ, ਨਾਂ ਹੀ ਮਿਰਤਕ ਸੰਸਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਨਾਂ ਹੀ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਦਾ ਦੀਵਾ ਬਾਲਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮਰਨ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਉਹ ਕਿਥੇ ਸੁੱਟੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ?
No one offers the rice dishes at their last rites, and no one lights the lamps for them. After their death, where will they be sent?
ਅਠਸਠਿ ਤੀਰਥ. ਦੇਨਿ ਨ ਢੋਈ; ਬ੍ਰਹਮਣ. ਅੰਨੁ ਨ ਖਾਹੀ ॥

ਅਠਾਹਟ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਦੇ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਨਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੰਦੇ, ਅਤੇ ਪੰਡਤ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਭੋਜਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਾਂਦੇ।
The sixty-eight sacred shrines of pilgrimage give them no place of protection, and no Brahmin will eat their food.
ਸਦਾ ਕੁਚੀਲ ਰਹਹਿ. ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ; ਮਥੈ ਟਿਕੇ ਨਾਹੀ ॥

ਉਹ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦਿਹੁੰ ਰੈਣ ਮਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਸਤਕ ਊਤੇ ਤਿਲਕ ਨਹੀਂ।
They remain polluted forever, day and night; they do not apply the ceremonial tilak mark to their foreheads.
ਝੁੰਡੀ ਪਾਇ ਬਹਨਿ ਨਿਤਿ. ਮਰਣੈ; ਦੜਿ ਦੀਬਾਣਿ. ਨ ਜਾਹੀ ॥

ਮਾਤਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਨਿੰਦ ਊਹ ਸਦਾ ਮਜਮਾ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਬੈਠਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਸੱਚੀ ਕਚਹਿਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦੇ।
They sit together in silence, as if in mourning; they do not go to the Lord's Court.
ਲਕੀ ਕਾਸੇ ਹਥੀ ਫੁੰਮਣ; ਅਗੋ ਪਿਛੀ ਜਾਹੀ ॥
lakee kaase hathee funman; ago pichhee jaahee |
ਮੰਗਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਠੂਠੇ ਕਮਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਲਟਕਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਤੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਧਾਗਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਗੁੱਛਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਅੱਗੜ ਪਿੱਛੜ ਤੁਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
With their begging bowls hanging from their waists, and their fly-brushes in their hands, they walk along in single file.
ਨਾ ਓਇ ਜੋਗੀ. ਨਾ ਓਇ ਜੰਗਮ; ਨਾ ਓਇ ਕਾਜੀ ਮੁੰਲਾ ॥
naa oe jogee. naa oe jangam; naa oe kaajee munlaa |
ਨਾਂ ਉਹ ਗੋਰਖ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਿੱਸ਼, ਨਾਂ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਦੇ ਉਪਾਸਕ, ਨਾਂ ਹੀ ਮੁਸਲਮ ਮੁਨਸਫ ਤੇ ਮੁਸਲਿਮ ਊਪਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਹਨ।
They are not Yogis, and they are not Jangams, followers of Shiva. They are not Qazis or Mullahs.
