Purpose
WaheguruJi.in is designed as a calm, non-commercial reading and learning environment. Its goal is to help visitors approach Gurbani, meanings, Gurmukhi learning, and traditional Sakhis with humility.
Data and attribution
Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, local Gurbani search, and supported named Banis are read from the validated Shabad OS SQLite corpus stored on this server. External services are used only for optional fallback and time-sensitive features such as Hukamnama availability.
Editorial boundary
Translations are aids to understanding and can reflect interpretive choices. Sakhis are labelled as traditional retellings, and source notes can be maintained in Edit Mode.
Privacy
Bookmarks are stored server-side against an anonymous random reader token. No advertising trackers are included. Contact submissions are stored in MariaDB for administrator review.
