ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਆਪੁ ਪਛਾਣਿਆ; ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਪਰਗਾਸੁ ॥

ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੁਆਰਾ, ਬੰਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੰਞਾਣ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਰੋਸ਼ਨੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
Follow the Guru's Teachings, and recognize your own self; the Divine Light of the Lord's Name shall shine within.
ਸਚੋ ਸਚੁ ਕਮਾਵਣਾ; ਵਡਿਆਈ ਵਡੇ ਪਾਸਿ ॥
sacho sach kamaavanaa; vaddiaaee vadde paas |
ਸਤਿਪੁਰਖ ਧਰਮ ਦੀ ਕਮਾਈ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲਤਾ, ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਕੋਲਿ ਹੈ।
The true ones practice Truth; greatness rests in the Great Lord.
ਜੀਉ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਸਭੁ ਤਿਸ ਕਾ; ਸਿਫਤਿ ਕਰੇ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ॥
jeeo pindd sabh tis kaa; sifat kare aradaas |
ਉਹ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮੁਹਰੇ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜਿੰਦੜੀ, ਦੇਹਿ ਤੇ ਹਰ ਸ਼ੈ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ।
Body, soul and all things belong to the Lord-praise Him, and offer your prayers to Him.
ਸਚੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਾਲਾਹਣਾ; ਸੁਖੇ ਸੁਖਿ ਨਿਵਾਸੁ ॥
sachai sabad saalaahanaa; sukhe sukh nivaas |
ਸੱਚੇ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਮ-ਅਨੰਦ ਅੰਦਰ ਵਸਦਾ ਹੈ।
Sing the Praises of the True Lord through the Word of His Shabad, and you shall abide in the peace of peace.
ਜਪੁ ਤਪੁ ਸੰਜਮੁ ਮਨੈ ਮਾਹਿ; ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਵੈ. ਧਿ੍ਰਗੁ ਜੀਵਾਸੁ ॥

ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਪਾਠ, ਤਪੱਸਿਆ ਤੇ ਸਵੈ-ਰਿਆਜਤ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਤ ਕਰੇ, ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਬਗੈਰ, ਲਾਨ੍ਹਤ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ।
You may practice chanting, penance and austere self-discipline within your mind, but without the Name, life is useless.
ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਨਾਉ ਪਾਈਐ; ਮਨਮੁਖ ਮੋਹਿ ਵਿਣਾਸੁ ॥

ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਆਪ-ਹੁੰਦਰੇ ਸੰਸਾਰੀ ਮਮਤਾ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Through the Guru's Teachings, the Name is obtained, while the self-willed manmukh wastes away in emotional attachment.
ਜਿਉ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਉ ਰਾਖੁ ਤੂੰ; ਨਾਨਕੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਾਸੁ ॥੨॥

ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰੀ ਰਖਿਆ ਕਰ, ਹੇ ਮਾਲਕ! ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇਰਾ ਗੋਲਾ ਹੈ।
Please protect me, by the Pleasure of Your Will. Nanak is Your slave. ||2||

ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਤੇਰਾ. ਤੂੰ ਸਭਸੁ ਦਾ; ਤੂੰ ਸਭਨਾ ਰਾਸਿ ॥

ਸਾਰੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਹਨ, ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦਾ। ਤੂੰ ਹਰ ਜਣੇ ਦੀ ਪੂੰਜੀ ਹੈਂ।
All are Yours, and You belong to all. You are the wealth of all.
ਸਭਿ ਤੁਧੈ ਪਾਸਹੁ ਮੰਗਦੇ; ਨਿਤ ਕਰਿ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ॥
sabh tudhai paasahu mangade; nit kar aradaas |
ਸਮੂਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਖੈਰ ਦੀ ਯਾਚਨਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
Everyone begs from You, and all offer prayers to You each day.
ਜਿਸੁ ਤੂੰ ਦੇਹਿ, ਤਿਸੁ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਮਿਲੈ; ਇਕਨਾ ਦੂਰਿ. ਹੈ ਪਾਸਿ ॥
jis toon dehi, tis sabh kichh milai; ikanaa door. hai paas |
ਜਿਸ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਕੁਝ ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਕਈਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਦੁਰੇਡੇ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਕਈਆਂ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ।
Those, unto whom You give, receive everything. You are far away from some, and You are close to others.
ਤੁਧੁ ਬਾਝਹੁ. ਥਾਉ ਕੋ ਨਾਹੀ, ਜਿਸੁ ਪਾਸਹੁ ਮੰਗੀਐ; ਮਨਿ ਵੇਖਹੁ ਕੋ ਨਿਰਜਾਸਿ ॥
tudh baajhahu. thaau ko naahee, jis paasahu mangeeai; man vekhahu ko nirajaas |
ਤੇਰੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਕੋਈ ਥਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਯਾਚਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ। ਕੋਈ ਜਣਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਨਿਰਣੇ ਕਰਕੇ ਦੇਖ ਲਵੇ।
Without You, there is not even a place to stand begging. See this yourself and verify it in your mind.
ਸਭਿ ਤੁਧੈ ਨੋ ਸਾਲਾਹਦੇ; ਦਰਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਾ ਨੋ ਪਰਗਾਸਿ ॥੯॥
sabh tudhai no saalaahade; dar guramukhaa no paragaas |9|
ਸਾਰੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਉਸਤਤੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਹੈ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਗੁਰੂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰਾ ਬੂਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
All praise You, O Lord; at Your Door, the Gurmukhs are enlightened. ||9||

ਪੰਡਿਤੁ ਪੜਿ ਪੜਿ ਉਚਾ ਕੂਕਦਾ; ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹਿ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥

ਧੰਨ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਤੇ ਲਗਨ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਬ੍ਰਹਿਮਣ ਵਾਚਦਾ ਤੇ ਪਾਠ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਜੋਰ ਨਾਲ ਪੁਕਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
The Pandits, the religious scholars, read and read, and shout out loud, but they are attached to the love of Maya.
ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ. ਨ ਚੀਨਈ; ਮਨਿ ਮੂਰਖੁ ਗਾਵਾਰੁ ॥

ਬੇਵਕੂਫ ਤੇ ਬੇ-ਸਮਝ ਬੰਦਾ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਿੰਞਾਣਦਾ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੈ।
They do not recognize God within themselves-they are so foolish and ignorant!
ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ. ਜਗਤੁ ਪਰਬੋਧਦਾ; ਨਾ ਬੂਝੈ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ॥
doojai bhaae. jagat parabodhadaa; naa boojhai beechaar |
ਦਵੈਤ-ਭਾਵ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਹ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਖ-ਮਤ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਖੁਦ ਬ੍ਰਹਿਮ ਗਿਆਨ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦਾ।
In the love of duality, they try to teach the world, but they do not understand meditative contemplation.
ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ; ਮਰਿ ਜੰਮੈ ਵਾਰੋ ਵਾਰ ॥੧॥
birathaa janam gavaaeaa; mar jamai vaaro vaar |1|
ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਬੇਅਰਥ ਗੁਆ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਮਰਦਾ ਤੇ ਜੰਮਦਾ ਹੈ।
They lose their lives uselessly; they die, only to be re-born, over and over again. ||1||

ਤੀਜੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ।
Third Mehl:
ਜਿਨੀ. ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿਆ, ਤਿਨੀ ਨਾਉ ਪਾਇਆ; ਬੂਝਹੁ ਕਰਿ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ॥
jinee. satigur seviaa, tinee naau paaeaa; boojhahu kar beechaar |
ਜੋ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਟਹਿਲ ਕਮਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸਾਈਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਚ ਤੇ ਸਮਝ।
Those who serve the True Guru obtain the Name. Reflect on this and understand.
ਸਦਾ ਸਾਂਤਿ, ਸੁਖੁ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ; ਚੂਕੈ ਕੂਕ ਪੁਕਾਰ ॥
sadaa saant, sukh man vasai; chookai kook pukaar |
ਉਨ੍ਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਰਲਾਪ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਿਕਵਾ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤਾਂ ਮੁਕ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਠੰਢ-ਚੈਨ ਤੇ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਲਈ ਵਸ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
Eternal peace and joy abide in their minds; they abandon their cries and complaints.
ਆਪੈ ਨੋ ਆਪੁ ਖਾਇ, ਮਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹੋਵੈ; ਗੁਰਸਬਦੀ ਵੀਚਾਰੁ ॥

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਪਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਵੈ-ਹੰਗਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਖਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਚਣ ਸਮਝਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਅੰਤਸ਼-ਕਰਨ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Their identity consumes their identical identity, and their minds become pure by contemplating the Word of the Guru's Shabad.
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਬਦਿ ਰਤੇ. ਸੇ ਮੁਕਤੁ ਹੈ; ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਹੇਤਿ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥੨॥

ਨਾਨਕ, ਜੋ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗੀਜੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਪੂਜਯ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਤੇ ਮੁਹੱਬਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਬੰਦ-ਖਲਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
O Nanak, attuned to the Shabad, they are liberated. They love their Beloved Lord. ||2||

ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਸਫਲ ਹੈ; ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਵੈ ਥਾਇ ॥
har kee sevaa safal hai; guramukh paavai thaae |
ਅਮੋਘ ਹੈ ਚਾਕਰੀ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ, ਜੋ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਵਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Service to the Lord is fruitful; through it, the Gurmukh is honored and approved.
ਜਿਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਵੈ, ਤਿਸੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ; ਸੋ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇ ॥
jis har bhaavai, tis gur milai; so har naam dhiaae |
ਜਿਹਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਲਕ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਹਨ, ਕੇਵਲ ਉਹੀ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਅਰਾਧਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
That person, with whom the Lord is pleased, meets with the Guru, and meditates on the Name of the Lord.
ਗੁਰਸਬਦੀ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਈਐ; ਹਰਿ ਪਾਰਿ ਲਘਾਇ ॥

ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਹਾਸਲ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਾਗਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, the Lord is found. The Lord carries us across.
ਮਨਹਠਿ ਕਿਨੈ. ਨ ਪਾਇਓ; ਪੁਛਹੁ ਵੇਦਾ ਜਾਇ ॥

ਚਿੱਤ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੱਦ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਇਆ। ਜਾ ਕੇ ਵੇਦਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਪਾਤ ਕਰ ਲਓ।
Through stubborn-mindedness, none have found Him; go and consult the Vedas on this.
ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਸੋ ਕਰੇ; ਜਿਸੁ ਲਏ ਹਰਿ ਲਾਇ ॥੧੦॥

ਨਾਨਕ, ਕੇਵਲ ਉਹੀ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਚਾਕਰੀ ਕਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਹਰੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੇ।
O Nanak, he alone serves the Lord, whom the Lord attaches to Himself. ||10||

ਨਾਨਕ. ਸੋ ਸੂਰਾ ਵਰੀਆਮੁ; ਜਿਨਿ ਵਿਚਹੁ. ਦੁਸਟੁ ਅਹੰਕਰਣੁ ਮਾਰਿਆ ॥
naanak. so sooraa vareeaam; jin vichahu. dusatt ahankaran maariaa |
ਨਾਨਕ ਉਹੀ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਯੋਧਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰਲੀ ਪਾਪਣ ਹੰਗਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਬੂ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
O Nanak, he is a brave warrior, who conquers and subdues his vicious inner ego.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਾਲਾਹਿ; ਜਨਮੁ ਸਵਾਰਿਆ ॥

ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤੀ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ, ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਆਪਣਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਸੁਧਾਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Praising the Naam, the Name of the Lord, the Gurmukhs redeem their lives.
ਆਪਿ ਹੋਆ ਸਦਾ ਮੁਕਤੁ; ਸਭੁ ਕੁਲੁ ਨਿਸਤਾਰਿਆ ॥
aap hoaa sadaa mukat; sabh kul nisataariaa |
ਉਹ ਖੁਦ ਸਦੀਵ ਹੀ ਬੰਦ-ਖਲਾਸ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਵੰਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
They themselves are liberated forever, and they save all their ancestors.
ਸੋਹਨਿ ਸਚਿ ਦੁਆਰਿ; ਨਾਮੁ ਪਿਆਰਿਆ ॥
sohan sach duaar; naam piaariaa |
ਜੋ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸੱਚੇ ਦਰ ਉਤੇ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਦਿਸਦੇ ਹਨ।
Those who love the Naam look beauteous at the Gate of Truth.
ਮਨਮੁਖ ਮਰਹਿ ਅਹੰਕਾਰਿ; ਮਰਣੁ ਵਿਗਾੜਿਆ ॥
manamukh mareh ahankaar; maran vigaarriaa |
ਆਪ-ਹੁਦਰੇ ਗਰਬ ਗੁਮਾਨ ਅੰਦਰ ਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਮੌਤ ਨੂੰ ਨੀਚ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੰਦੇ (ਕੁਮੈਤੇ ਮਰਦੇ) ਹਨ।
The self-willed manmukhs die in egotism-even their death is painfully ugly.
ਸਭੋ ਵਰਤੈ ਹੁਕਮੁ; ਕਿਆ ਕਰਹਿ ਵਿਚਾਰਿਆ ॥
sabho varatai hukam; kiaa kareh vichaariaa |
ਹਰ ਸ਼ੈ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਅਮਰ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਗਰੀਬ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਕੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ?
Everything happens according to the Lord's Will; what can the poor people do?
ਆਪਹੁ ਦੂਜੈ ਲਗਿ; ਖਸਮੁ ਵਿਸਾਰਿਆ ॥
aapahu doojai lag; khasam visaariaa |
ਸਵੈ-ਹੰਗਤਾ ਤੇ ਦਵੈਤ-ਭਾਵ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜ ਕੇ, ਇਨਸਾਨ ਨੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਲਾ ਛਡਿਆ ਹੈ।
Attached to self-conceit and duality, they have forgotten their Lord and Master.

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਬਾਝੋਂ ਸਮੂਹ ਤਕਲੀਫ ਹੀ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਭੁੱਲ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
O Nanak, without the Name, everything is painful, and happiness is forgotten. ||1||

ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦਿੜਾਇਆ; ਤਿਨਿ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਭਰਮੁ ਚੁਕਾਇਆ ॥
gur poorai har naam dirraaeaa; tin vichahu bharam chukaaeaa |
ਪੂਰਨ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਪੱਕਾ ਕਰ ਦਿਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰੋ ਵਹਿਮ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
The Perfect Guru has implanted the Name of the Lord within me. It has dispelled my doubts from within.
ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਗਾਈ; ਕਰਿ ਚਾਨਣੁ ਮਗੁ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ ॥
raam naam har keerat gaaee; kar chaanan mag dikhaaeaa |
ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਜੱਸ ਦਾ ਮੈਂ ਗਾਇਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਰਬੀ ਨੂਰ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕਰਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਰਸਤਾ ਦਿਖਾਲ ਦਿਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
I sing the Lord's Name and the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises; the Divine Light shines, and now I see the Way.
ਹਉਮੈ ਮਾਰਿ. ਏਕ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੀ; ਅੰਤਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸਾਇਆ ॥
haumai maar. ek liv laagee; antar naam vasaaeaa |
ਆਪਣੀ ਹੰਗਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਨਵਿਰਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਬਿਰਤੀ ਇਕ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਟਿਕਾ ਲਿਆ।
Conquering my ego, I am lovingly focused on the One Lord; the Naam has come to dwell within me.
