ਗਣਤ ਗਣਾਵਣਿ ਆਈਆ; ਸੂਹਾ ਵੇਸੁ ਵਿਕਾਰੁ ॥
ganat ganaavan aaeea; soohaa ves vikaar |
ਮੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਲਾਲ ਪਹਿਰਾਵਾ, ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਤ ਤੋਂ ਮਿਹਰ ਦੀ ਯਾਚਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ, ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਹਿਸਾਬ-ਕਿਤਾਬ ਗਿਣਨ-ਮਿਥਨ ਆਈਆਂ ਹਨ।
But when the time comes to settle their accounts, their red robes are corrupt.
ਪਾਖੰਡਿ. ਪ੍ਰੇਮੁ ਨ ਪਾਈਐ; ਖੋਟਾ ਪਾਜੁ ਖੁਆਰੁ ॥੧॥

ਦੰਭ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ। ਕੂੜਾ ਮੂਲੰਮਾ ਤਬਾਹ-ਕੁਨ ਹੈ।
His Love is not obtained through hypocrisy. Her false coverings bring only ruin. ||1||
ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ; ਇਉ ਪਿਰੁ ਰਾਵੈ ਨਾਰਿ ॥

ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪੂਜਯ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਤੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ।
In this way, the Dear Husband Lord ravishes and enjoys His bride.
ਤੁਧੁ ਭਾਵਨਿ ਸੋਹਾਗਣੀ; ਅਪਣੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਲੈਹਿ ਸਵਾਰਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ਭਲੀ ਵਹੁਟੀ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੀ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਆਪਣੀ ਰਹਿਮਤ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਰਾਸਤਾ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।
The happy soul-bride is pleasing to You, Lord; by Your Grace, You adorn her. ||1||Pause||
ਗੁਰਸਬਦੀ ਸੀਗਾਰੀਆ; ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਪਿਰ ਕੈ ਪਾਸਿ ॥

ਗੁਰ-ਸ਼ਬਦ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਸਸ਼ੋਭਤ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਦੇਹਿ ਤੇ ਆਤਮਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਦੇ ਕੋਲਿ (ਹਵਾਲੇ) ਹਨ।
She is decorated with the Word of the Guru's Shabad; her mind and body belong to her Husband Lord.
ਦੁਇ ਕਰ ਜੋੜਿ. ਖੜੀ ਤਕੈ; ਸਚੁ ਕਹੈ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ॥

ਆਪਣੇ ਦੋਵੇ ਹੱਥ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਖਲੋ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਇੰਤਜ਼ਾਰ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਦਿਲੋ ਉਸ ਅੱਗੇ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਵਖਾਣਦੀ ਹੈ।
With her palms pressed together, she stands, waiting on Him, and offers her True prayers to Him.
ਲਾਲਿ ਰਤੀ. ਸਚ ਭੈ ਵਸੀ; ਭਾਇ ਰਤੀ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਸਿ ॥੨॥

ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਰੰਗੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਪੁਰਖ ਦੇ ਡਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗੀਜਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚੀ ਰੰਗਤ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
Dyed in the deep crimson of the Love of her Darling Lord, she dwells in the Fear of the True One. Imbued with His Love, she is dyed in the color of His Love. ||2||
ਪਿ੍ਰਅ ਕੀ ਚੇਰੀ ਕਾਂਢੀਐ; ਲਾਲੀ ਮਾਨੈ ਨਾਉ ॥

ਪਿਆਰੀ, ਜੋ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਣ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪਤੀ ਦੀ ਬਾਂਦੀ ਆਖੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
She is said to be the hand-maiden of her Beloved Lord; His sweetheart surrenders to His Name.
ਸਾਚੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ. ਨ ਤੁਟਈ; ਸਾਚੇ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਉ ॥

ਸੱਚੀ ਪਿਰਹੜੀ ਟੁਟਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਅੰਦਰ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
True Love is never broken; she is united in Union with the True One.
ਸਬਦਿ ਰਤੀ ਮਨੁ ਵੇਧਿਆ; ਹਉ ਸਦ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੈ ਜਾਉ ॥੩॥

ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਰੰਗੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ (ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਿੱਚ) ਵਿੰਨ੍ਹਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਉਤੋਂ ਘੋਲੀ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
Attuned to the Word of the Shabad, her mind is pierced through. I am forever a sacrifice to Him. ||3||
ਸਾ ਧਨ. ਰੰਡ ਨ ਬੈਸਈ; ਜੇ. ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਮਾਹਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥
saa dhan. randd na baisee; je. satigur maeh samaae |
ਉਹ ਵਹੁਟੀ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਲੀਨ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ, ਵਿਧਵਾ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ।
That bride, who is absorbed into the True Guru, shall never become a widow.
ਪਿਰੁ ਰੀਸਾਲੂ ਨਉਤਨੋ; ਸਾਚਉ. ਮਰੈ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥

ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਰਸਾਂ ਦਾ ਘਰ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਨਵੇਂ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਵਾਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਮਰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਜੰਮਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ।
Her Husband Lord is Beautiful; His Body is forever fresh and new. The True One does not die, and shall not go.
ਨਿਤ ਰਵੈ ਸੋਹਾਗਣੀ; ਸਾਚੀ ਨਦਰਿ ਰਜਾਇ ॥੪॥

ਉਹ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਾਕ-ਦਾਮਨ ਪਤਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਉਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੱਚੀ ਨਿਗ੍ਹਾ ਧਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂ ਛਕਿ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਭਾਣੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਵਿਚਰਦੀ ਹੈ।
He continually enjoys His happy soul-bride; He casts His Gracious Glance of Truth upon her, and she abides in His Will. ||4||
ਸਾਚੁ ਧੜੀ. ਧਨ ਮਾਡੀਐ; ਕਾਪੜੁ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਸੀਗਾਰੁ ॥
saach dharree. dhan maaddeeai; kaaparr prem seegaar |
ਐਸੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਸੱਚ ਦੀਆਂ ਪੱਟੀਆਂ ਗੂੰਦਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਪੁਸ਼ਾਕ ਤੇ ਹਾਰ-ਸ਼ਿੰਗਾਰ ਬਣਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
The bride braids her hair with Truth; her clothes are decorated with His Love.
ਚੰਦਨੁ ਚੀਤਿ ਵਸਾਇਆ; ਮੰਦਰੁ ਦਸਵਾ ਦੁਆਰੁ ॥

ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਟਿਕਾਉਣ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਨਣ (ਦਾ ਮੱਥੇ ਤੇ ਟਿਕਾ) ਅਤੇ ਦਸਵੇ-ਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਮਹਿਲ ਬਣਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
Like the essence of sandalwood, He permeates her consciousness, and the Temple of the Tenth Gate is opened.
ਦੀਪਕੁ ਸਬਦਿ ਵਿਗਾਸਿਆ; ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਉਰ ਹਾਰੁ ॥੫॥

ਉਹ ਗੁਰ-ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦਾ ਦੀਵਾ ਜਗਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਉਸ ਕੋਲਿ ਗਲ-ਮਾਲਾ ਹੈ।
The lamp of the Shabad is lit, and the Name of the Lord is her necklace. ||5||
ਨਾਰੀ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਸੋਹਣੀ; ਮਸਤਕਿ ਮਣੀ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥
naaree andar sohanee; masatak manee piaar |
ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਸਨੇਹ ਦਾ ਮਾਣਕ ਪਹਿਨਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
She is the most beautiful among women; upon her forehead she wears the Jewel of the Lord's Love.
ਸੋਭਾ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਸੁਹਾਵਣੀ; ਸਾਚੈ ਪ੍ਰੇਮਿ ਅਪਾਰ ॥
sobhaa surat suhaavanee; saachai prem apaar |
ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਤੇ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਮਨੋਹਰ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਲਈ ਸੱਚੀ ਹੈ।
Her glory and her wisdom are magnificent; her love for the Infinite Lord is True.
ਬਿਨੁ ਪਿਰ. ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨ ਜਾਣਈ; ਸਾਚੇ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਹੇਤਿ ਪਿਆਰਿ ॥੬॥

ਉਹ ਬਗ਼ੈਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਦੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦੀ। ਕੇਵਲ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਮੁਹੱਬਤ ਤੇ ਉਲਫ਼ਤ ਰੱਖਦੀ ਹੈ।
Other than her Beloved Lord, she knows no man. She enshrines love for the True Guru. ||6||
ਨਿਸਿ ਅੰਧਿਆਰੀ ਸੁਤੀਏ; ਕਿਉ ਪਿਰ ਬਿਨੁ. ਰੈਣਿ ਵਿਹਾਇ ॥

ਪਰ ਜੋ ਅਨ੍ਹੇਰੀ ਰਾਤ੍ਰੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਸੁੱਤੀ ਪਈ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲਬਰ ਦੇ ਬਗ਼ੈਰ ਆਪਣੀ ਰਾਤ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਤੀਤ ਕਰੇਗੀ?
Asleep in the darkness of the night, how shall she pass her life-night without her Husband?
ਅੰਕੁ ਜਲਉ. ਤਨੁ ਜਾਲੀਅਉ; ਮਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਜਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਇ ॥

ਤੇਰੇ ਅੰਗ ਸੜ ਜਾਣਗੇ, ਤੇਰੀ ਦੇਹਿ ਮਚ ਜਾਏਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਹਿਰਦਾ ਤੇ ਦੌਲਤ ਸੜ ਮੱਚ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
Her limbs shall burn, her body shall burn, and her mind and wealth shall burn as well.
ਜਾ ਧਨ. ਕੰਤਿ ਨ ਰਾਵੀਆ; ਤਾ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜੋਬਨੁ ਜਾਇ ॥੭॥
jaa dhan. kant na raaveea; taa birathaa joban jaae |7|
ਜਦ ਖ਼ਸਮ ਵਹੁਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਾਣਦਾ, ਤਦ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜਵਾਨੀ ਰਾਇਗਾ ਬੀਤ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
When the Husband does not enjoy His bride, then her youth passes away in vain. ||7||
ਸੇਜੈ ਕੰਤ ਮਹੇਲੜੀ; ਸੂਤੀ. ਬੂਝ ਨ ਪਾਇ ॥
sejai kant mahelarree; sootee. boojh na paae |
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਭਰਤਾ ਸੇਜ ਉਤੇ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਸੁੱਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਵਹੁਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਗਿਆਤ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ।
The Husband is on the Bed, but the bride is asleep, and so she does not come to know Him.
ਹਉ ਸੁਤੀ. ਪਿਰੁ ਜਾਗਣਾ; ਕਿਸ ਕਉ ਪੂਛਉ ਜਾਇ ॥

ਮੈਂ ਸੌ ਰਹੀ ਹਾਂ, ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਜਾਗਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਕੀਹਦੇ ਕੋਲਿ ਮਸ਼ਵਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਜਾਵਾਂ?
While I am asleep, my Husband Lord is awake. Where can I go for advice?
ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਮੇਲੀ ਭੈ ਵਸੀ; ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੁ ਸਖਾਇ ॥੮॥੨॥

ਨਾਨਕ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿਖਾਈ ਹੈ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਹੁਣ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਡਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹਾਂ।
The True Guru has led me to meet Him, and now I dwell in the Fear of God. O Nanak, His Love is always with me. ||8||2||

ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਤੂੰ ਖੁਦ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਖ਼ੁਦ ਹੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਚਾਰਦਾ ਸ੍ਰਵਣ ਕਰਦਾ ਤੇ ਸੋਚਦਾ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ।
O Lord, You are Your Own Glorious Praise. You Yourself speak it; You Yourself hear it and contemplate it.
ਆਪੇ ਰਤਨੁ ਪਰਖਿ ਤੂੰ; ਆਪੇ ਮੋਲੁ ਅਪਾਰੁ ॥

ਆਪ ਹੀ ਤੂੰ ਨਾਮ ਹੀਰਾ ਤੇ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਪਾਰਖੂ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਮੁੱਲ ਦਾ ਹੈ।
You Yourself are the Jewel, and You are the Appraiser. You Yourself are of Infinite Value.
ਸਾਚਉ. ਮਾਨੁ ਮਹਤੁ ਤੂੰ; ਆਪੇ ਦੇਵਣਹਾਰੁ ॥੧॥

ਤੂੰ ਹੈ ਸੱਚੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਇਜ਼ਤ ਮਾਨ ਤੇ ਬਜੁਰਗੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਖ਼ੁਦ ਹੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ।
O True Lord, You are Honor and Glory; You Yourself are the Giver. ||1||
ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ; ਤੂੰ ਕਰਤਾ ਕਰਤਾਰੁ ॥

O Dear Lord, You are the Creator and the Cause.
ਜਿਉ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਉ ਰਾਖੁ ਤੂੰ; ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਆਚਾਰੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰ, ਹੈ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ! ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਰਹੁ-ਰੀਤੀ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।

ਆਪੇ ਹੀਰਾ ਨਿਰਮਲਾ; ਆਪੇ ਰੰਗੁ ਮਜੀਠ ॥

ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਾਫ਼-ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਜਵੇਹਰ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮਜੀਠ ਦੀ ਰੰਗਤ।
You Yourself are the flawless diamond; You Yourself are the deep crimson color.
ਆਪੇ ਮੋਤੀ ਊਜਲੋ; ਆਪੇ ਭਗਤ ਬਸੀਠੁ ॥
aape motee aoojalo; aape bhagat baseetth |
ਤੂੰ ਖ਼ੁਦ ਹੀ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਬਿੰਦੂ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਖ਼ੁਦ ਹੀ ਅਨੁਰਾਗੀ ਤੇ ਵਿਚੋਲਾ।
You Yourself are the perfect pearl; You Yourself are the devotee and the priest.
ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਲਾਹਣਾ; ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਡੀਠੁ ਅਡੀਠੁ ॥੨॥

ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਅਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਪੁਰਖ ਸਲਾਹਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਦਿਲ ਅੰਦਰ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, You are praised. In each and every heart, the Unseen is seen. ||2||
ਆਪੇ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਬੋਹਿਥਾ; ਆਪੇ ਪਾਰੁ ਅਪਾਰੁ ॥
aape saagar bohithaa; aape paar apaar |
ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੇ ਜਹਾਜ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਕਿਨਾਰਾ ਤੇ ਪਾਰਲਾ ਕਿਨਾਰਾ ਹੈ।
You Yourself are the ocean and the boat. You Yourself are this shore, and the one beyond.
ਸਾਚੀ ਵਾਟ ਸੁਜਾਣੁ ਤੂੰ; ਸਬਦਿ ਲਘਾਵਣਹਾਰੁ ॥
saachee vaatt sujaan toon; sabad laghaavanahaar |
ਮੇਰੇ ਸਰਬੱਗ ਸਾਹਿਬ! ਤੂੰ ਦਰੁਸਤ ਰਸਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਪਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਮਲਾਹ।
O All-knowing Lord, You are the True Way. The Shabad is the Navigator to ferry us across.
ਨਿਡਰਿਆ ਡਰੁ ਜਾਣੀਐ; ਬਾਝੁ ਗੁਰੂ. ਗੁਬਾਰੁ ॥੩॥
niddariaa ddar jaaneeai; baajh guroo. gubaar |3|
ਜਾਣ ਲੈ ਕਿ ਭੈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਡਰਦੇ। ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਬਗ਼ੈਰ ਘੁੱਪ ਅਨ੍ਹੇਰਾ ਹੈ।
One who does not fear God shall live in fear; without the Guru, there is only pitch darkness. ||3||
ਅਸਥਿਰੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਦੇਖੀਐ; ਹੋਰੁ ਕੇਤੀ ਆਵੈ ਜਾਇ ॥
asathir karataa dekheeai; hor ketee aavai jaae |
ਕੇਵਲ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ ਹੀ ਸਦੀਵੀ ਸਥਿਰ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
The Creator alone is seen to be Eternal; all others come and go.
ਆਪੇ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਏਕੁ ਤੂੰ; ਹੋਰ ਬੰਧੀ ਧੰਧੈ ਪਾਇ ॥
aape niramal ek toon; hor bandhee dhandhai paae |
ਕੇਵਲ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ, ਹੇ ਸਾਹਿਬ! ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਹੈਂ। ਬਾਕੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰੀ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਲਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
Only You, Lord, are Immaculate and Pure. All others are bound up in worldly pursuits.
ਗੁਰਿ ਰਾਖੇ ਸੇ ਉਬਰੇ; ਸਾਚੇ ਸਿਉ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥੪॥

ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਰਖਿਆ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਸੱਚੇ ਸਾਈਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਰਹੜੀ ਪਾਉਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਬਚ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Those who are protected by the Guru are saved. They are lovingly attuned to the True Lord. ||4||
