ਗਊੜੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਪੰਜਵੀਂ।

Gauree, Fifth Mehl:

ਤੂੰ ਸਰਬ-ਸ਼ਕਤੀਵਾਨ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਕੇਵਲ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ।

You are All-powerful, You are my Lord and Master.

ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਤੂੰ ਅੰਦਰ ਦੀ ਜਾਨਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।

Everything comes from You; You are the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts. ||1||

ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਉਤਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਫ਼ਰ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ।

The Perfect Supreme Lord God is the Support of His humble servant.

ਤੇਰੀ ਸ਼ਰਣਾਗਤਿ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਹੀ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਪਾਰ ਉਤਰ ਗਏ ਹਨ, (ਹੇ ਮਾਲਕ)। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।

Millions are saved in Your Sanctuary. ||1||Pause||

ਜਿੰਨੇ ਭੀ ਜੀਵ-ਜੰਤੂ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸਮੂਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਹਨ।

As many creatures as there are - they are all Yours.

ਤੇਰੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਹੁਤੇ ਆਰਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।

By Your Grace, all sorts of comforts are obtained. ||2||

ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕੁਝ ਭੀ ਵਾਪਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਮੂਹ ਤੇਰੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੈ।

Whatever happens, is all according to Your Will.

ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਫ਼ੁਰਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸੱਚੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

One who understands the Hukam of the Lord's Command, is absorbed in the True Lord. ||3||

ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਲਕ, ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਦਾਤ ਬਖਸ਼,

Please grant Your Grace, God, and bestow this gift

ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਦਾ ਆਰਾਧਨ ਕਰੇ!

upon Nanak, that he may meditate on the treasure of the Naam. ||4||66||135||

ਗਊੜੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਪੰਜਵੀਂ।

Gauree, Fifth Mehl:

ਮਹਾਨ ਚੰਗੇ ਨਸੀਬਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ,

By great good fortune, the Blessed Vision of His Darshan is obtained,

ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਲਗੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।

by those who are lovingly absorbed in the Lord's Name. ||1||

ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਅੰਦਰ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਵਸਦਾ ਹੈ,

Those whose minds are filled with the Lord,

ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਪੀੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਾਪਰਦੀ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।

do not suffer pain, even in dreams. ||1||Pause||

ਚੰਗਿਆਈਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੋਲੇ ਦੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਟਿਕਾਏ ਹਨ।

All treasures have been placed within the minds of His humble servants.

ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਪਾਪ ਤੇ ਸੰਤਾਪ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

In their company, sinful mistakes and sorrows are taken away. ||2||

ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਟਹਿਲੂਏ ਦੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਬਿਆਨ ਕੀਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ।

The Glories of the Lord's humble servants cannot be described.

ਟਹਿਲੂਆਂ ਸ਼ਰੋਮਣੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਅੰਦਰ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

The servants of the Supreme Lord God remain absorbed in Him. ||3||

ਮਿਹਰ ਧਾਰ ਹੇ ਸਾਈਂ! ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸੁਣ।

Grant Your Grace, God, and hear my prayer:

੍ਰਨਾਨਕ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੋਲੇ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਦੇ।

please bless Nanak with the dust of the feet of Your slave. ||4||67||136||

ਗਊੜੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਪੰਜਵੀਂ।

Gauree, Fifth Mehl:

ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਆਰਾਧਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਤੇਰੀ ਮੁਸੀਬਤ ਟਲ ਜਾਏਗੀ,

Remembering the Lord in meditation, your misfortune shall be taken away,

ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਖੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਆ ਕੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਟਿਕ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ।

and all joy shall come to abide in your mind. ||1||

ਤੂੰ ਕੇਵਲ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਆਰਾਧਨ ਕਰ।

Meditate, O my mind, on the One Name.

ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨੂਏ ਇਹ ਤੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੜੀ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਆਏਗਾ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।

It alone shall be of use to your soul. ||1||Pause||

ਰਾਤ ਅਤੇ ਦਿਨ ਅਨੰਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦਾ ਜੱਸ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰ,

Night and day, sing the Glorious Praises of the Infinite Lord,

ਪੂਰਨ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ।

through the Pure Mantra of the Perfect Guru. ||2||

ਹੋਰ ਉਪਰਾਲੇ ਤਿਆਗ ਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕੇਵਲ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਉਤੇ ਰਖ।

Give up other efforts, and place your faith in the Support of the One Lord.

ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮ ਵਡਮੁੱਲੇ ਵੱਖਰ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਮਈ ਜੋਹਰ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਖ ਲਵੇਗਾ।

Taste the Ambrosial Essence of this, the greatest treasure. ||3||

ਕੇਵਲ ਓਹੀ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਕਠਨ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ,

They alone cross over the treacherous world-ocean,

ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਸੁਆਮੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਧਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

O Nanak, upon whom the Lord casts His Glance of Grace. ||4||68||137||

ਗਊੜੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਪੰਜਵੀਂ।

Gauree, Fifth Mehl:

ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਮੈਂ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਦੇ ਕੰਵਲ ਰੂਪੀ ਚਰਨ ਟਿਕਾਏ ਹਨ,

I have enshrined the Lotus Feet of God within my heart.

ਅਤੇ ਪੂਰਨ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਟ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਪਾਰ ਉਤਰ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ।

Meeting the Perfect True Guru, I am emancipated. ||1||

ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਕੀਰਤੀ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰੋ, ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੀਰ!

Sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe, O my Siblings of Destiny.

ਸੰਤ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ, ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਆਰਾਧਨ ਕਰੋ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।

Joining the Holy Saints, meditate on the Lord's Name. ||1||Pause||

ਉਦੋਂ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਕਬੂਲ ਪੈ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,

This human body, so difficult to obtain, is redeemed

ਜਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਪਰਵਾਨਾ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

when one receives the banner of the Naam from the True Guru. ||2||

ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਮਰਤਬਾ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Meditating in remembrance on the Lord, the state of perfection is attained.

ਸਤਿ ਸੰਗਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਡਰ ਤੇ ਸੰਦੇਹ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, fear and doubt depart. ||3||

ਜਿਥੇ ਕਿਤੇ ਭੀ ਮੈਂ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਉਥੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਰਮ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

Wherever I look, there I see the Lord pervading.

ਨੌਕਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਨੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਪਨਾਹ ਲਈ ਹੈ।

Slave Nanak has entered the Lord's Sanctuary. ||4||69||138||

Gauree, Fifth Mehl:

ਮੈਂ ਪੂਜਯ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਉਤੇ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ।

I am a sacrifice to the Blessed Vision of the Guru's Darshan.

ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਇਕ ਰਸ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮੈਂ ਜੀਊਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ।

Chanting and meditating on the Name of the True Guru, I live. ||1||

ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਸਰੂਪ, ਪੂਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਵਾਨ ਗੁਰੂ,

O Supreme Lord God, O Perfect Divine Guru,

ਰਹਿਮਤ ਧਾਰ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਚਾਕਰੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਜੁਟ ਜਾਵਾਂ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।

show mercy to me, and commit me to Your service. ||1||Pause||

ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੇਵਲ ਰੂਪੀ ਚਰਨ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਤੇ ਦਿਲ ਨਾਲ ਲਾਈ ਰਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ।

I enshrine His Lotus Feet within my heart.

ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਦੇਹਿ ਅਤੇ ਦੌਲਤ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਜਾਨ ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।

I offer my mind, body and wealth to the Guru, the Support of the breath of life. ||2||

ਮੇਰਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਲਾਭਦਾਇਕ ਅਤੇ ਮਕਬੂਲ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ,

My life is prosperous, fruitful and approved;

ਪਰਮ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸਮਝਣ ਨਾਲ।

I know that the Guru, the Supreme Lord God, is near me. ||3||

ਬਹੁਤ ਚੰਗੇ ਨਸੀਬਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸਾਧੂਆਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਖਾਕ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।

By great good fortune, I have obtained the dust of the feet of the Saints.

ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ, ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਪੈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

O Nanak, meeting the Guru, I have fallen in love with the Lord. ||4||70||139||
