ਗਊੜੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਪੰਜਵੀਂ।

Gauree, Fifth Mehl:

ਬੰਦਾ ਮੰਦੇ ਅਮਲ ਕਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਵਿਖਾਂਦਾ ਦੂਜੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੈ।

They do their evil deeds, and pretend otherwise;

ਵਿਆਪਕ ਪ੍ਰਭਫੂਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਚੋਰ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਰੜਿਆਂ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

but in the Court of the Lord, they shall be bound and gagged like thieves. ||1||

ਜੋ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਹੈ।

Those who remember the Lord belong to the Lord.

ਇਕ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ, ਧਰਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਸਮਾਨ ਅੰਦਰ ਰਮਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।

The One Lord is contained in the water, the land and the sky. ||1||Pause||

ਅੰਦਰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੂੰਹੋ ਉਹ ਸੁਧਾਰਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

Their inner beings are filled with poison, and yet with their mouths, they preach words of Ambrosial Nectar.

ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਉਹ ਸੱਟਾਂ ਸਹਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

Bound and gagged in the City of Death, they are punished and beaten. ||2||

ਘਨੇਰਿਆਂ ਪਰਦਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ (ਪਿਛੇ) ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

Hiding behind many screens, they commit acts of corruption,

ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਇਕ ਮੋਹਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਉਹ ਜਹਾਨ ਮੂਹਰੇ ਨੰਗੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

but in an instant, they are revealed to all the world. ||3||

ਜੋ ਅੰਦਰੋ ਸੱਚਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਮ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗੀਜਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ,

Those whose inner beings are true, who are attuned to the ambrosial essence of the Naam, the Name of the Lord

ਨਾਨਕ, ਉਸ ਉਤੇ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਦਾ ਲਿਖਾਰੀ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਹੈ।

- O Nanak, the Lord, the Architect of Destiny, is merciful to them. ||4||71||140||

ਗਊੜੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਪੰਜਵੀ।

Gauree, Fifth Mehl:

ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕਦਾਚਿੱਤ ਬਿਨਸਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ।

The Lord's Love shall never leave or depart.

ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦਾ ਤੇ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹੀ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

They alone understand, unto whom the Perfect Guru gives it. ||1||

ਜਿਹੜਾ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਪਰੇਮ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗੀਜਿਆਂ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਸੱਚਾ ਹੈ।

One whose mind is attuned to the Lord's Love is true.

ਕਿਸਮਤ ਦਾ ਲਿਖਾਰੀ ਪੂਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਬ-ਸ਼ਕਤੀਵਾਨ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਸਮੂਹ-ਪਿਆਰ ਹੀ ਹੈ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।

The Love of the Beloved, the Architect of Destiny, is perfect. ||1||Pause||

ਸਾਧੂਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਬੈਠ ਕੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂਫ ਦਾ ਜੱਸ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

Sitting in the Society of the Saints, sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord.

ਉਸ ਦੀ (ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਦੀ) ਰੰਗਤ ਲਹਿੰਦੀ ਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ।

The color of His Love shall never fade away. ||2||

ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਦੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਆਰਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ।

Without meditating in remembrance on the Lord, peace is not found.

ਮੋਹਨੀ ਦੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਫਿੱਕੇ ਹਨ।

All the other loves and tastes of Maya are bland and insipid. ||3||

ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

Those who are imbued with love by the Guru become happy.

ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਫੁਰਮਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।

Says Nanak, the Guru has become merciful to them. ||4||72||141||

ਗਊੜੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਪੰਜਵੀ।

Gauree, Fifth Mehl:

ਮਾਲਕ ਦਾ ਆਰਾਧਨ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਪਾਪ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ,

Meditating in remembrance on the Lord Master, sinful mistakes are erased,

ਤੇ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ, ਆਰਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਸੰਨਤਾ ਅੰਦਰ ਵਸਦਾ ਹੈ।

and one comes to abide in peace, celestial joy and bliss. ||1||

ਸਾਈਂ ਦੇ ਗੁਮਾਸ਼ਤਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਈਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਹੈ।

The Lord's humble servants place their faith in the Lord.

ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਫਿਕਰ ਨਾਬੂਦ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।

Chanting the Naam, the Name of the Lord, all anxieties are dispelled. ||1||Pause||

ਸਤਿ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਅੰਦਰ ਕੋਈ ਡਰ ਅਤੇ ਵਹਿਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਿਆਪਦਾ,

In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, there is no fear or doubt.

ਅਤੇ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਦਾ ਜੱਸ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

The Glorious Praises of the Lord are sung there, day and night. ||2||

ਆਪਣੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਧਾਰ ਕੇ, ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬੇੜੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਜਾਦ ਕਰ ਦਿਤਾ ਹੈ,

Granting His Grace, God has released me from bondage.

ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਦੇ ਕੰਵਲਰੂਪੀ ਚਰਨਾ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।

He has given me the Support of His Lotus Feet. ||3||

ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਫੁਰਮਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਦਾਸ ਦੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,

Says Nanak, faith comes into the mind of His servant,

ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸਦੀਵ ਹੀ, ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਪਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

Who continually drinks in the Immaculate Praises of the Lord. ||4||73||142||

ਗਊੜੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਪੰਜਵੀ।

Gauree, Fifth Mehl:

ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਹੈ,

Those who keep their minds attached to the Lord's Feet

ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮੁਸੀਬਤ, ਪੀੜਾ ਤੇ ਸੰਦੇਹ ਦੌੜ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

- pain, suffering and doubt run away from them. ||1||

ਪੂਰਨ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਵਣਜਾਰਾ ਜੋ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਹਾਜਦਾ ਹੈ।

Those who deal in the Lord's wealth are perfect.

ਕੇਵਲ ਉਹੀ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਬਖਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।

Those who are honored by the Lord are the true spiritual heroes. ||1||Pause||

ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ,

Those humble beings, unto whom the Lord of the Universe shows mercy,

ਉਹ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੈਰੀ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

fall at the Guru's Feet. ||2||

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੈਕੁੰਠੀ ਆਰਾਮ, ਠੰਢ-ਚੈਨ, ਅਤੇ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ,

They are blessed with peace, celestial bliss, tranquility and ecstasy;

ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮ ਪਰਸੰਨਤ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰ ਕਰ ਜੀਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

chanting and meditating, they live in supreme bliss. ||3||

ਸਤਿ ਸੰਗਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਮੈਂ ਹਰੀ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਪੂੰਜੀ ਖੱਟੀ ਹੈ।

In the Saadh Sangat, I have earned the wealth of the Naam.

ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ, ਠਾਕੁਰ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਬਿਪਤਾ ਮੇਟ ਸਟੀ ਹੈ।

Says Nanak, God has relieved my pain. ||4||74||143||

ਗਊੜੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਪੰਜਵੀ।

Gauree, Fifth Mehl:

ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਭਜਨ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁਖੜੇ ਮੁਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

Meditating in remembrance on the Lord, all suffering is eradicated.

ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਕੰਵਲ ਰੂਪੀ ਚਰਨ ਚਿੱਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਟਿਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

The Lord's Lotus Feet are enshrined within my mind. ||1||

ਤੂੰ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਲੱਖਾਂ ਵਾਰੀ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕਰ।

Chant the Lord's Name, hundreds of thousands of times, O my dear,

ਹੈ ਮੇਰੀ ਲਾਡਲੀ ਜੀਭ! ਤੂੰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦਾ ਸੁਰਜੀਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੁਘਾਰਸ ਪਾਨ ਕਰ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।

and drink deeply of the Ambrosial Essence of God. ||1||Pause||

ਤੈਨੂੰ ਅਰਾਮ, ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ,

Peace, celestial bliss, pleasures and the greatest ecstasy are obtained;

ਜੇਕਰ ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮ ਪਰਸੰਨਤਾ ਸਰੂਪ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਬਾਰੰਬਾਰ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਆਪਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਤੀਤ ਕਰੇਂ।

chanting and meditating, you shall live in supreme bliss. ||2||

ਸ਼ਹਿਵਤ ਰੋਹ, ਤਮ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੈਂਕੜ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ,

Sexual desire, anger, greed and ego are eradicated;

ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਸੰਗਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਪਾਪ ਧੋਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, all sinful mistakes are washed away. ||3||

ਆਪਦੀ ਰਹਿਮਤ ਧਾਰ ਹੇ ਗਰੀਬਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ ਸੁਆਮੀ!

Grant Your Grace, O God, O Merciful to the meek.

ਅਤੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰ।

Please bless Nanak with the dust of the feet of the Holy. ||4||75||144||
