ਗਊੜੀ ਬੈਰਾਗਣਿ, ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਚੌਥੀ।

Gauree Bairaagan, Fourth Mehl:

ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਾਤਾ ਪੁੱਤ੍ਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਲਦੀ ਪੋਸਦੀ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਨਿਗ੍ਹਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਖਦੀ ਹੈ।

Just as the mother, having given birth to a son, feeds him and keeps him in her vision

ਘਰ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਤੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੁਰਕੀਆਂ ਪਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਲਮ੍ਹੇ ਤੇ ਮੁਹਤ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਚਕਾਰਦੀ ਹੈ,

- indoors and outdoors, she puts food in his mouth; each and every moment, she caresses him.

ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹਬਾਨੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਤੇ ਸਨੇਹ ਹੈ।

In just the same way, the True Guru protects His GurSikhs, who love their Beloved Lord. ||1||

ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਲਕ, ਅਸੀਂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਦਾਨ ਬੱਚੇ ਹਾਂ।

O my Lord, we are just the ignorant children of our Lord God.

ਸ਼ਾਬਾਸ਼! ਸ਼ਾਬਾਸ਼ ਹੈ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਗੁਰੂ, ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਤੇ ਇਲਾਹੀ ਉਸਤਾਦ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਖ-ਮਤ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਅਕਲਮੰਦ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।

Hail, hail, to the Guru, the Guru, the True Guru, the Divine Teacher who has made me wise through the Lord's Teachings. ||1||Pause||

ਜਿਵੇ ਚਿਟੇ ਬਸਤਰਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਕੂੰਜ ਅਸਮਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਕਰ ਕਟਦੀ ਤੇ ਉਡੀ ਫਿਰਦੀ ਹੈ,

The white flamingo circles through the sky,

ਪਰ ਉਹ ਮਗਰ ਛਡੇ ਹੋਏ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਖਿਆਲ ਰਖਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਦਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ।

but she keeps her young ones in her mind; she has left them behind, but she constantly remembers them in her heart.

ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੱਚਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਿਖ ਅੰਦਰ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਫੂਕ ਕੇ ਗੁਰ-ਸਿੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲ ਨਾਲ ਲਾਈ ਰਖਦਾ ਹੈ।

In just the same way, the True Guru loves His Sikhs. The Lord cherishes His GurSikhs, and keeps them clasped to His Heart. ||2||

ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਸ਼ਤ ਤੇ ਲਹੂ ਦੀ ਬਣੀ ਹੋਈ ਜੀਭ ਦੀ ਤੀਹ ਜਾ ਬੱਤੀ ਦੰਦਾ ਦੀ ਕੈਂਚੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

Just as the tongue, made of flesh and blood, is protected within the scissors of the thirty-two teeth

ਕੋਈ ਜਣਾ ਇਹ ਨ ਸਮਝੇ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਜੀਭ ਜਾਂ ਕੈਂਚੀ ਦੇ ਕੁਝ ਵਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ। ਹਰ ਸ਼ੈ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਅਖਤਿਆਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ।

who thinks that the power lies in the flesh or the scissors? Everything is in the Power of the Lord.

ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਜਦ ਬੰਦਾ ਸਾਧ ਰੂਪ ਪੁਰਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਦਖੋਈ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਫਰ ਦੀ ਪੱਤ-ਆਬਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

In just the same way, when someone slanders the Saint, the Lord preserves the honor of His servant. ||3||

ਮੇਰੇ ਭਰਾਓ! ਕੋਈ ਇਹ ਨਾਂ ਸਮਝੇ ਕਿ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ ਕੁਝ ਵੱਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ। ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਉਹ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਉਸ ਕੋਲੋ ਕਰਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

O Siblings of Destiny, let none think that they have any power. All act as the Lord causes them to act.

ਬੁਢੇਪਾ ਮੌਤ, ਬੁਖਾਰ, ਸਿਲਤ ਅਤੇ ਸ੍ਰਪ ਸਾਰੇ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ। ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਕੋਈ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਛੂਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ।

Old age, death, fever, poisons and snakes - everything is in the Hands of the Lord. Nothing can touch anyone without the Lord's Order.

ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਦਿਲ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੈ ਨੌਕਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਐਹੋ ਜੇਹੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਆਰਾਧਨ ਕਰ ਜਿਹੜਾ, ਅਖੀਰ ਦੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਖਲਾਸੀ ਕਰਾਏਗਾ।

Within your conscious mind, O servant Nanak, meditate forever on the Name of the Lord, who shall deliver you in the end. ||4||7||13||51||

ਗਊੜੀ ਬੈਰਾਗਣਿ, ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਚੌਥੀ।

Gauree Bairaagan, Fourth Mehl:

ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਚਿੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸੱਚਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਆਖਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Meeting Him, the mind is filled with bliss. He is called the True Guru.

ਚਿੱਤ ਦਾ ਦੁਚਿੱਤਾਪਣ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਬੈਕੁੰਠੀ ਮਹਾਨ ਮਰਤਬਾ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Double-mindedness departs, and the supreme status of the Lord is obtained. ||1||

ਮੈਂ ਕਿਸ ਤ੍ਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਾਂ।

How can I meet my Beloved True Guru?

ਹਰਿ ਮੁਹਤ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਣਾਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਆਪਣੇ ਪੂਰਨ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਵਾਂ? ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।

Each and every moment, I humbly bow to Him. How will I meet my Perfect Guru? ||1||Pause||

ਆਪਣੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਧਾਰ ਕੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜ ਦਿਤਾ ਹੈ।

Granting His Grace, the Lord has led me to meet my Perfect True Guru.

ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਫਰ ਦੀ ਇਛਿਆ ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ।

The desire of His humble servant has been fulfilled. I have received the dust of the Feet of the True Guru. ||2||

ਕੇਵਲ ਉਹੀ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਅਨੁਰਾਗੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼੍ਰਵਣ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

Those who meet the True Guru implant devotional worship to the Lord, and listen to this devotional worship of the Lord.

ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਦਾਚਿੱਤ ਘਾਟਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਨਫਾ ਕਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

They never suffer any loss; they continually earn the profit of the Lord. ||3||

ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਅੰਦਰ ਰਬੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਦਵੈਤ ਭਾਵ ਧਾਰਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ।

One whose heart blossoms forth, is not in love with duality.

ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਉਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਟ ਕੇ ਪਾਰ ਉਤਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਜੱਸ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰਵਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

O Nanak, meeting the Guru, one is saved, singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||4||8||14||52||

ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਚੌਥੀ, ਗਊੜੀ ਪੂਰਬੀ।

Fourth Mehl, Gauree Poorbee:

ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਰਹਿਮਤ ਨਿਛਾਵਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਦੇਹਿ ਤੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।

The Merciful Lord God showered me with His Mercy; with mind and body and mouth, I chant the Lord's Name.

ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮ ਪੱਕੀ ਤੇ ਸੰਘਣੀ ਰੰਗਤ ਅਖਤਿਆਰ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਦੇਹਿ ਦੀ ਕੁੜਤੀ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਚ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ।

As Gurmukh, I have been dyed in the deep and lasting color of the Lord's Love. The robe of my body is drenched with His Love. ||1||

ਆਪਣੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਮੈਂ ਦਾਸੀ ਹਾਂ।

I am the maid-servant of my Lord God.

ਜਦ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਦੀ ਨਿਸ਼ਾ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਨਾ ਦਾਮ ਮੇਰਾ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਬਣਾ ਦਿਤਾ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।

When my mind surrendered to the Lord, He made all the world my slave. ||1||Pause||

ਤੀਬਰ ਵੀਚਾਰ ਕਰੋ ਹੇ ਭਲਿਓ ਪੁਰਸ਼ੋ, ਮੇਰੇ ਭਰਾਓ! ਅਤੇ ਢੂੰਡ ਭਾਲ ਕੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੀ ਵੇਖ ਲਓ।

Consider this well, O Saints, O Siblings of Destiny - search your own hearts, seek and find Him there.

ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਸੁੰਦਰਤਾ ਤੇ ਰੋਸ਼ਨੀ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਤੇ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਰਮ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਹਰ ਇਕਸੁ ਦੇ ਲਾਗੇ ਤੇ ਐਨ ਪਾਸ ਵਸਦਾ ਹੈ।

The Beauty and the Light of the Lord, Har, Har, is present in all. In all places, the Lord dwells near by, close at hand. ||2||
