ਨਾਨਕ. ਨਾਮਿ ਰਤੇ ਵੀਚਾਰੀ; ਸਚੋ ਸਚੁ ਕਮਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੮॥੧੮॥੧੯॥
naanak. naam rate veechaaree; sacho sach kamaavaniaa |8|18|19|
ਨਾਨਕ ਜੋ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗੀਜੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਡੂੰਘੇ ਵੀਚਾਰਵਾਨ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਨਿਰੋਲ ਸੱਚ ਦੀ ਕਮਾਈ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
O Nanak, those who are attuned to the Naam, reflect deeply on the Truth; they practice only Truth. ||8||18||19||

ਮਾਝ, ਤੀਜੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ।
Maajh, Third Mehl:
ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸਬਦੁ; ਨਿਰਮਲ ਹੈ ਬਾਣੀ ॥

ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੈ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਉਚਾਰਣ ਪਾਵਨ ਹੈ,
The Word of the Shabad is Immaculate and Pure; the Bani of the Word is Pure.
ਨਿਰਮਲ ਜੋਤਿ; ਸਭ ਮਾਹਿ ਸਮਾਣੀ ॥
niramal jot; sabh maeh samaanee |
ਸਾਈਂ ਦਾ ਨੂਰ ਜੋ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
The Light which is pervading among all is Immaculate.
ਨਿਰਮਲ ਬਾਣੀ. ਹਰਿ ਸਾਲਾਹੀ; ਜਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ. ਮੈਲੁ ਗਵਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥

ਪਾਕ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੈ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਹੈ। ਬੇਦਾਗ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਆਦਮੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਲੀਨਤਾ ਧੋ ਸੁਟਦਾ ਹੈ।
So praise the Immaculate Word of the Lord's Bani; chanting the Immaculate Name of the Lord, all filth is washed away. ||1||
ਹਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ਵਾਰੀ; ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਵਣਿਆ ॥
hau vaaree jeeo vaaree; sukhadaataa man vasaavaniaa |
ਮੈਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਹਾਂ, ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੜੀ ਸਦਕੇ ਹੈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੋਂ ਜੋ ਆਰਾਮ ਦੇਣਹਾਰ ਹਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਟਿਕਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
I am a sacrifice, my soul is a sacrifice, to those who enshrine the Giver of peace within their minds.
ਹਰਿ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ. ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਲਾਹੀ; ਸਬਦੋ ਸੁਣਿ. ਤਿਸਾ ਮਿਟਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਤਾਬੇ ਮੈਂ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਦੀ ਪਰਸੰਸਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਰਵਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਤ੍ਰੇਹ ਬੁਝਾਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।
Praise the Immaculate Lord, through the Word of the Guru's Shabad. Listen to the Shabad, and quench your thirst. ||1||Pause||
ਨਿਰਮਲ ਨਾਮੁ; ਵਸਿਆ ਮਨਿ ਆਏ ॥
niramal naam; vasiaa man aae |
ਜਦ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਨਾਮ ਆ ਕੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
When the Immaculate Naam comes to dwell in the mind,
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ; ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹੁ ਗਵਾਏ ॥
man tan niramal; maaeaa mohu gavaae |
ਦੇਹਿ ਤੇ ਆਤਮਾ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਧਨ ਦੌਲਤ ਦੀ ਮਮਤਾ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
the mind and body become Immaculate, and emotional attachment to Maya departs.
ਨਿਰਮਲ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਨਿਤ. ਸਾਚੇ ਕੇ; ਨਿਰਮਲ ਨਾਦੁ ਵਜਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੨॥

ਜੋ ਸਦੀਵ ਹੀ ਸੱਚੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦਾ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਜੱਸ ਗਾਹਿਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਗੂੰਜਦਾ ਹੈ।
Sing the Glorious Praises of the Immaculate True Lord forever, and the Immaculate Sound-current of the Naad shall vibrate within. ||2||
ਨਿਰਮਲ ਅੰਮਿ੍ਰਤੁ; ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
niramal amrit; gur te paaeaa |
ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਆਬਿ-ਹਿਯਾਤ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
The Immaculate Ambrosial Nectar is obtained from the Guru.
ਵਿਚਹੁ ਆਪੁ ਮੁਆ; ਤਿਥੈ. ਮੋਹੁ ਨ ਮਾਇਆ ॥
vichahu aap muaa; tithai. mohu na maaeaa |
ਜਿਥੇ ਸਵੈ-ਹੰਗਤਾ ਅੰਦਰੋ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਥੇ ਸੰਸਾਰੀ ਪਾਦਰਥਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੁਹੱਬਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਠਹਿਰਦੀ।
When selfishness and conceit are eradicated from within, then there is no attachment to Maya.
ਨਿਰਮਲ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਧਿਆਨੁ ਅਤਿ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ; ਨਿਰਮਲ ਬਾਣੀ. ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੩॥

ਪਾਵਨ ਹੈ ਈਸ਼ਵਰੀ ਗਿਆਤ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਮ ਪਾਵਨ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਜੋ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਟਿਕਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Immaculate is the spiritual wisdom, and utterly immaculate is the meditation, of those whose minds are filled with the Immaculate Bani of the Word. ||3||
ਜੋ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਸੇਵੇ; ਸੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹੋਵੈ ॥
jo niramal seve; su niramal hovai |
ਜਿਹੜਾ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੀ ਘਾਲ ਘਾਲਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
One who serves the Immaculate Lord becomes immaculate.
ਹਉਮੈ ਮੈਲੁ; ਗੁਰਸਬਦੇ ਧੋਵੈ ॥
haumai mail; gurasabade dhovai |
ਹੰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਮਲੀਨਤਾ ਉਹ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ ਘੌ ਸੁਟਦਾ ਹੈ।
Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, the filth of egotism is washed away.
ਨਿਰਮਲ ਵਾਜੈ. ਅਨਹਦ ਧੁਨਿ ਬਾਣੀ; ਦਰਿ ਸਚੈ. ਸੋਭਾ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੪॥
niramal vaajai. anahad dhun baanee; dar sachai. sobhaa paavaniaa |4|
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਅਖੰਡ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਆਲਾਪਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸੱਚੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
The Immaculate Bani and the Unstruck Melody of the Sound-current vibrate, and in the True Court, honor is obtained. ||4||
ਨਿਰਮਲ ਤੇ; ਸਭ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਹੋਵੈ ॥
niramal te; sabh niramal hovai |
ਪਾਵਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਵਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Through the Immaculate Lord, all become immaculate.
ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਮਨੂਆ; ਹਰਿ ਸਬਦਿ ਪਰੋਵੈ ॥
niramal manooaa; har sabad parovai |
ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਆਤਮਾ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰੋ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
Immaculate is the mind which weaves the Word of the Lord's Shabad into itself.
ਨਿਰਮਲ ਨਾਮਿ ਲਗੇ ਬਡਭਾਗੀ; ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਨਾਮਿ ਸੁਹਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੫॥
niramal naam lage baddabhaagee; niramal naam suhaavaniaa |5|
ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਭਾਰੇ ਨਸੀਬਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਜੁੜਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਹ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਭਾਸਦੇ ਹਨ।
Blessed and very fortunate are those who are committed to the Immaculate Name; through the Immaculate Name, they are blessed and beautified. ||5||
ਸੋ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ; ਜੋ ਸਬਦੇ ਸੋਹੈ ॥
so niramal; jo sabade sohai |
ਉਹ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਭਾਇਮਾਨ ਦਿਸਦਾ ਹੈ।
Immaculate is the one who is adorned with the Shabad.
ਨਿਰਮਲ ਨਾਮਿ; ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਮੋਹੈ ॥
niramal naam; man tan mohai |
ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਨਾਮ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਤੇ ਦੇਹਿ ਨੂੰ ਫਰੇਫਤਾ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
The Immaculate Naam, the Name of the Lord, entices the mind and body.
ਸਚਿ ਨਾਮਿ. ਮਲੁ ਕਦੇ. ਨ ਲਾਗੈ; ਮੁਖੁ ਊਜਲੁ ਸਚੁ ਕਰਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੬॥
sach naam. mal kade. na laagai; mukh aoojal sach karaavaniaa |6|
ਸੱਚੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਕਦਾਚਿੱਤ ਕੋਈ ਗਿਲਾਜ਼ਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੰਮੜਦੀ। ਸਤਿਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਚਿਹਰਾ ਰੋਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ (ਹੋ) ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
No filth ever attaches itself to the True Name; one's face is made radiant by the True One. ||6||
ਮਨੁ ਮੈਲਾ ਹੈ; ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ॥
man mailaa hai; doojai bhaae |
ਸੰਸਾਰੀ ਲਗਨ ਦੇ ਸਬੱਬ ਚਿੱਤ ਪਲੀਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
The mind is polluted by the love of duality.
ਮੈਲਾ ਚਉਕਾ; ਮੈਲੈ ਥਾਇ ॥
mailaa chaukaa; mailai thaae |
ਗੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਚੌਕਾ ਤੇ ਗਲੀਜ਼ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ।
Filthy is that kitchen, and filthy is that dwelling;
ਮੈਲਾ ਖਾਇ. ਫਿਰਿ ਮੈਲੁ ਵਧਾਏ; ਮਨਮੁਖ ਮੈਲੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥
mailaa khaae. fir mail vadhaae; manamukh mail dukh paavaniaa |7|
ਅਧਰਮ ਦੀ ਕਮਾਈ ਦਾ ਭੋਜਨ ਖਾ ਕੇ, ਮੰਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮੁੜ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੰਦਗੀ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੰਦਗੀ ਕਾਰਨ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਕਟਦਾ ਹੈ।
eating filth, the self-willed manmukhs become even more filthy. Because of their filth, they suffer in pain. ||7||
ਮੈਲੇ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸਭਿ; ਹੁਕਮਿ ਸਬਾਏ ॥
maile niramal sabh; hukam sabaae |
ਅਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਸਮੂਹ ਇਕ ਸਿਰਿਉ ਦੂਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਫੁਰਮਾਨ ਤਾਬੇ ਹਨ।
The filthy, and the immaculate as well, are all subject to the Hukam of God's Command.
ਸੇ ਨਿਰਮਲ; ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਸਾਚੇ ਭਾਏ ॥
se niramal; jo har saache bhaae |
ਉਹ ਪਾਕ-ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਸਾਈਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੇ ਲਗਦੇ ਹਨ।
They alone are immaculate, who are pleasing to the True Lord.
ਨਾਨਕ. ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸੈ ਮਨ ਅੰਤਰਿ; ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ. ਮੈਲੁ ਚੁਕਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੮॥੧੯॥੨੦॥

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮ ਗੁਰੂ-ਸਮਰਪਣਾ ਦੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਵਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਲਾਜ਼ਤ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
O Nanak, the Naam abides deep within the minds of the Gurmukhs, who are cleansed of all their filth. ||8||19||20||

ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਉੱਜਲ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਜਲ ਹਨ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸੰਤ ਰਾਜ-ਹੰਸ।
The Lord of the Universe is radiant, and radiant are His soul-swans.
ਮਨੁ ਬਾਣੀ; ਨਿਰਮਲ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਨਸਾ ॥
man baanee; niramal meree manasaa |
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਆਤਮਾ, ਬੋਲ-ਬਾਣੀ ਤੇ ਖ਼ਾਹਿਸ਼ ਸਵੱਛ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ।
Their minds and their speech are immaculate; they are my hope and ideal.
ਮਨਿ ਊਜਲ ਸਦਾ ਮੁਖ ਸੋਹਹਿ; ਅਤਿ ਊਜਲ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥
man aoojal sadaa mukh soheh; at aoojal naam dhiaavaniaa |1|
ਸਾਧੂਆਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਸਦੀਵ ਹੀ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਪਰਮ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਅਰਾਧਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
Their minds are radiant, and their faces are always beautiful; they meditate on the most radiant Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||1||
ਹਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ਵਾਰੀ; ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਣਿਆ ॥

ਮੈਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਹਾਂ, ਮੇਰੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਹੈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੋਂ ਜੋ ਆਲਮ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਦਾ ਜੱਸ ਗਾਹਿਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਗੋਬਿਦੁ ਗੋਬਿਦੁ ਕਹੈ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤੀ; ਗੋਬਿਦ ਗੁਣ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੁਣਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
gobid gobid kahai din raatee; gobid gun sabad sunaavaniaa |1| rahaau |
ਹੈ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ! ਤੂੰ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਦਿਹੁੰ ਰੈਣ ਉਚਾਰਣ ਕਰ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਉਤਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਤਾਈਆਂ ਤੇ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਪਰਚਾਰ ਕਰ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।
So chant Gobind, Gobind, the Lord of the Universe, day and night; sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord Gobind, through the Word of His Shabad. ||1||Pause||
ਗੋਬਿਦੁ ਗਾਵਹਿ; ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਏ ॥
gobid gaaveh; sehaj subhaae |
ਜੋ ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਟਿਕਾਉ ਨਾਲ ਹਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ,
Sing of the Lord Gobind with intuitive ease,
ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਭੈ ਊਜਲ; ਹਉਮੈ ਮਲੁ ਜਾਏ ॥
gur kai bhai aoojal; haumai mal jaae |
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਡਰ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉੱਜਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਗੰਦਗੀ ਲਹਿ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
in the Fear of the Guru; you shall become radiant, and the filth of egotism shall depart.
ਸਦਾ ਅਨੰਦਿ ਰਹਹਿ. ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ; ਸੁਣਿ ਗੋਬਿਦ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੨॥

ਉਹ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਵਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਦਿਹੁੰ ਰੈਣ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਚਾਕਰੀ ਕਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਜੱਸ ਸਰਵਣ ਕਰਦਾ ਤੇ ਅਲਾਪਦਾ ਹੈ।
Remain in bliss forever, and perform devotional worship, day and night. Hear and sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord Gobind. ||2||
ਮਨੂਆ ਨਾਚੈ; ਭਗਤਿ ਦਿ੍ਰੜਾਏ ॥
manooaa naachai; bhagat drirraae |
ਆਪਣੇ ਨਚਾਰ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੱਕਾ ਕਰ,
Channel your dancing mind in devotional worship,
ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ; ਮਨੈ ਮਨੁ ਮਿਲਾਏ ॥
gur kai sabad; manai man milaae |
ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਆਪਦੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮ ਚਿੱਤ ਨਾਲ ਇਕਸੁਰ ਕਰ।
and through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, merge your mind with the Supreme Mind.
ਸਚਾ ਤਾਲੁ ਪੂਰੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹੁ ਚੁਕਾਏ; ਸਬਦੇ ਨਿਰਤਿ ਕਰਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੩॥
sachaa taal poore maaeaa mohu chukaae; sabade nirat karaavaniaa |3|
ਧਨ ਦੌਲਤ ਦੀ ਮਮਤਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਦੀ ਸੱਚੀ ਤੇ ਪੂਰਨ ਸੁਰ ਤਾਲ ਬਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਤੂੰ ਨਾਚ ਕਰ।
Let your true and perfect tune be the subjugation of your love of Maya, and let yourself dance to the Shabad. ||3||
ਊਚਾ ਕੂਕੇ; ਤਨਹਿ ਪਛਾੜੇ ॥
aoochaa kooke; taneh pachhaarre |
ਭਾਂਵੇਂ ਕੋਈ ਉੱਚੀ ਉੱਚੀ ਬੋਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਦੇਹਿ ਨੂੰ ਨਚਾਏ,
People shout out loud and move their bodies,
ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹਿ; ਜੋਹਿਆ ਜਮਕਾਲੇ ॥
maaeaa mohi; johiaa jamakaale |
ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਦੂਤ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਤਕਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਧਨ ਦੌਲਤ ਦੀ ਲਗਨ ਖੁਭਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ।
but if they are emotionally attached to Maya, then the Messenger of Death shall hunt them down.
