ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹੁ ਇਸੁ ਮਨਹਿ ਨਚਾਏ; ਅੰਤਰਿ ਕਪਟੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੪॥
maaeaa mohu is maneh nachaae; antar kapatt dukh paavaniaa |4|
ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਇਸ ਮਨੂਏ ਨੂੰ ਨਚਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਮੱਕਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਬੰਦਾ ਤਕਲੀਫ ਉਠਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
The love of Maya makes this mind dance, and the deceit within makes people suffer in pain. ||4||
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਭਗਤਿ; ਜਾ ਆਪਿ ਕਰਾਏ ॥
guramukh bhagat; jaa aap karaae |
ਜਦ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ, ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਖੁਦ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਬੰਦੇ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਕਰਵਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
When the Lord inspires one to become Gurmukh, and perform devotional worship,
ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਰਾਤਾ; ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਏ ॥
tan man raataa; sehaj subhaae |
ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਦੇਹਿ ਤੇ ਆਤਮਾ ਨਿਰਯਤਨ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
then his body and mind are attuned to His Love with intuitive ease.
ਬਾਣੀ ਵਜੈ. ਸਬਦਿ ਵਜਾਏ; ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਥਾਇ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੫॥
baanee vajai. sabad vajaae; guramukh bhagat thaae paavaniaa |5|
ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਪੁਰਸ਼, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਗੂੰਜਦੀ ਤੇ ਬੈਕੁੰਠੀ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਬੂਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
The Word of His Bani vibrates, and the Word of His Shabad resounds, for the Gurmukh whose devotional worship is accepted. ||5||
ਬਹੁ ਤਾਲ ਪੂਰੇ; ਵਾਜੇ ਵਜਾਏ ॥
bahu taal poore; vaaje vajaae |
ਅਧਰਮੀ ਸੁਰਤਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਘਣੇ ਸੰਗੀਤਕ ਸਾਜ਼ ਵਜਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
One may beat upon and play all sorts of instruments,
ਨਾ ਕੋ ਸੁਣੇ; ਨ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਏ ॥
naa ko sune; na man vasaae |
ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਨਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਵਣ ਕਰਦਾ ਤੇ ਨਾਂ ਹੀ ਚਿੱਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਟਿਕਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
but no one will listen, and no one will enshrine it in the mind.
ਮਾਇਆ ਕਾਰਣਿ ਪਿੜ ਬੰਧਿ ਨਾਚੈ; ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੬॥

ਪੈਸੇ ਟੁੱਕਰ ਦੀ ਖਾਤਰ ਅਖਾੜਾ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਲਿਰਤਕਾਰੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਦਵੈਤ-ਭਾਵ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਹ ਤਕਲੀਫ ਉਠਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
For the sake of Maya, they set the stage and dance, but they are in love with duality, and they obtain only sorrow. ||6||
ਜਿਸੁ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਲਗੈ; ਸੋ ਮੁਕਤਾ ॥
jis antar preet lagai; so mukataa |
ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਦਿਲ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗੀਜਿਆਂ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਬੰਦ ਖਲਾਸ ਹੈ।
Those whose inner beings are attached to the Lord's Love are liberated.
ਇੰਦ੍ਰੀ ਵਸਿ; ਸਚ ਸੰਜਮਿ ਜੁਗਤਾ ॥
eindree vas; sach sanjam jugataa |
ਆਪਣੇ ਭੋਗ-ਅੰਗ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਬੂ ਕਰਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਸੱਚ ਤੇ ਸਵੈ-ਕਾਬੂ ਦੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਨੂੰ ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
They control their sexual desires, and their lifestyle is the self-discipline of Truth.
ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਏ; ਏਹਾ ਭਗਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥
gur kai sabad sadaa har dhiaae; ehaa bhagat har bhaavaniaa |7|
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਤਾਬੇ ਉਹ ਸਦੀਵ ਹੀ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਅਨੁਰਾਗ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ।
Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, they meditate forever on the Lord. This devotional worship is pleasing to the Lord. ||7||
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਭਗਤਿ; ਜੁਗ ਚਾਰੇ ਹੋਈ ॥
guramukh bhagat; jug chaare hoee |
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਹੀ ਚੌਹਾਂ ਯੁਗਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਮਈ ਸੇਵਾ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
To live as Gurmukh is devotional worship, throughout the four ages.
ਹੋਰਤੁ ਭਗਤਿ; ਨ ਪਾਏ ਕੋਈ ॥
horat bhagat; na paae koee |
ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰਸ ਜਰੀਏ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਮਈ ਸੇਵਾ ਕੋਈ ਜਣਾ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ।
This devotional worship is not obtained by any other means.
ਨਾਨਕ. ਨਾਮੁ ਗੁਰ ਭਗਤੀ ਪਾਈਐ; ਗੁਰ ਚਰਣੀ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੮॥੨੦॥੨੧॥
naanak. naam gur bhagatee paaeeai; gur charanee chit laavaniaa |8|20|21|
ਨਾਨਕ, ਮਾਲਕ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਟਹਿਲ ਸੇਵਾ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਨ ਜੋੜਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
O Nanak, the Naam, the Name of the Lord, is obtained only through devotion to the Guru. So focus your consciousness on the Guru's Feet. ||8||20||21||

ਮਾਝ, ਤੀਜੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ।
Maajh, Third Mehl:
ਸਚਾ ਸੇਵੀ; ਸਚੁ ਸਾਲਾਹੀ ॥
sachaa sevee; sach saalaahee |
ਸੱਚੇ ਸਾਈਂ ਦੀ ਮੈਂ ਘਾਲ ਕਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਸਾਈਂ ਦੀ ਹੀ ਪਰਸੰਸਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
Serve the True One, and praise the True One.
ਸਚੈ ਨਾਇ; ਦੁਖੁ ਕਬ ਹੀ ਨਾਹੀ ॥
sachai naae; dukh kab hee naahee |
ਸੱਚੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਕਦਾਚਿਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਿਮੜਦਾ।
With the True Name, pain shall never afflict you.
ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਸੇਵਨਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਨਿ; ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥
sukhadaataa sevan sukh paaein; guramat man vasaavaniaa |1|
ਜੋ ਆਰਾਮ ਬਖਸ਼ਣਹਾਰ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਆਰਾਮ ਪਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਟਿਕਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Those who serve the Giver of peace find peace. They enshrine the Guru's Teachings within their minds. ||1||
ਹਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ਵਾਰੀ; ਸੁਖ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਧਿ ਲਗਾਵਣਿਆ ॥
hau vaaree jeeo vaaree; sukh sehaj samaadh lagaavaniaa |
ਮੈਂ ਬਲਿਹਾਰ ਹਾਂ, ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦਗੀ ਬਲਿਹਾਰ ਹੈ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੋਂ ਜੋ ਸੁਖੈਨ ਹੀ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਅੰਦਰ ਤਾੜੀ ਲਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
I am a sacrifice, my soul is a sacrifice, to those who intuitively enter into the peace of Samaadhi.
ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਹਿ. ਸੇ ਸਦਾ ਸੋਹਹਿ; ਸੋਭਾ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਸੁਹਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jo har seveh. se sadaa soheh; sobhaa surat suhaavaniaa |1| rahaau |
ਜੋ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਭਾਸਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਭਾਇਮਾਨ ਹੈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਝ ਸੋਚ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।
Those who serve the Lord are always beautiful. The glory of their intuitive awareness is beautiful. ||1||Pause||
ਸਭੁ ਕੋ; ਤੇਰਾ ਭਗਤੁ ਕਹਾਏ ॥
sabh ko; teraa bhagat kahaae |
ਹਰ ਜਣਾ ਆਪਦੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰਾ ਉਪਾਸ਼ਕ ਅਖਵਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
All call themselves Your devotees,
ਸੇਈ ਭਗਤ; ਤੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਏ ॥
seee bhagat; terai man bhaae |
ਕੇਵਲ ਉਹੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਉਪਾਸ਼ਕ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ, ਹੈ ਮਾਲਕ!
but they alone are Your devotees, who are pleasing to Your mind.
ਸਚੁ ਬਾਣੀ ਤੁਧੈ ਸਾਲਾਹਨਿ; ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੨॥
sach baanee tudhai saalaahan; rang raate bhagat karaavaniaa |2|
ਸੱਚੀ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਜਰੀਏ ਉਹੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਨਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਮਈ ਘਾਲ ਕਮਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Through the True Word of Your Bani, they praise You; attuned to Your Love, they worship You with devotion. ||2||
ਸਭੁ ਕੋ; ਸਚੇ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ. ਤੇਰਾ ॥
sabh ko; sache har jeeo. teraa |
ਸਾਰੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਹਨ, ਹੈ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੂਜਯ ਸੱਚੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ!
All are Yours, O Dear True Lord.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਿਲੈ; ਤਾ ਚੂਕੈ ਫੇਰਾ ॥
guramukh milai; taa chookai feraa |
ਜਦ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਮੁਖੀ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਦ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਆਵਾਉਗਣ ਦਾ ਚੱਕ ਮੁਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Meeting the Gurmukh, this cycle of reincarnation comes to an end.
ਜਾ ਤੁਧੁ ਭਾਵੈ. ਤਾ ਨਾਇ ਰਚਾਵਹਿ; ਤੂੰ ਆਪੇ ਨਾਉ ਜਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੩॥
jaa tudh bhaavai. taa naae rachaaveh; toon aape naau japaavaniaa |3|
ਜਦ ਤੂੰ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੂੰ ਤਦ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਅੰਦਰ ਗਚ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਖੁਦ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਉਚਾਰਣ ਕਰਵਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
When it pleases Your Will, then we merge in the Name. You Yourself inspire us to chant the Name. ||3||
ਗੁਰਮਤੀ; ਹਰਿ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਇਆ ॥
guramatee; har man vasaaeaa |
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮੈਂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਦੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਅਸਥਾਪਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
Through the Guru's Teachings, I enshrine the Lord within my mind.
ਹਰਖੁ ਸੋਗੁ; ਸਭੁ ਮੋਹੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥
harakh sog; sabh mohu gavaaeaa |
ਖੁਸ਼ੀ, ਗਮੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਸੰਸਾਰੀ ਮਮਤਾ ਮੈਂ ਜੜ੍ਹੋ ਪੁੱਟ ਛੱਡੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
Pleasure and pain, and all emotional attachments are gone.
ਇਕਸੁ ਸਿਉ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੀ ਸਦ ਹੀ; ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੪॥
eikas siau liv laagee sad hee; har naam man vasaavaniaa |4|
ਇਕ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਸਨੇਹ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਸਦੀਵ ਹੀ ਰੰਗਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਦੇ ਰਿਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਟਿਕਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
I am lovingly centered on the One Lord forever. I enshrine the Lord's Name within my mind. ||4||
ਭਗਤ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ; ਸਦਾ ਤੇਰੈ ਚਾਏ ॥
bhagat rang raate; sadaa terai chaae |
ਅਨੁਰਾਗੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਅਨੰਦ ਅੰਦਰ ਹਨ, ਹੈ ਸੁਆਮੀ।
Your devotees are attuned to Your Love; they are always joyful.
ਨਉ ਨਿਧਿ ਨਾਮੁ; ਵਸਿਆ ਮਨਿ ਆਏ ॥
nau nidh naam; vasiaa man aae |
ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਨੌ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਚਿੱਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਟਿਕੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
The nine treasures of the Naam come to dwell within their minds.
ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ; ਸਬਦੇ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੫॥
poorai bhaag satigur paaeaa; sabade mel milaavaniaa |5|
ਪੂਰਨ ਚੰਗੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਹ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲਾ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
By perfect destiny, they find the True Guru, and through the Word of the Shabad, they are united in the Lord's Union. ||5||
ਤੂੰ ਦਇਆਲੁ; ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ॥
toon deaal; sadaa sukhadaataa |
ਤੂੰ ਮਿਹਰਵਾਨ ਤੇ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਆਰਾਮ ਬਖਸ਼ਣਹਾਰ ਹੈ।
You are Merciful, and always the Giver of peace.
ਤੂੰ ਆਪੇ ਮੇਲਿਹਿ; ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਾਤਾ ॥
toon aape melihi; guramukh jaataa |
ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਤੂੰ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
You Yourself unite us; You are known only to the Gurmukhs.
ਤੂੰ ਆਪੇ ਦੇਵਹਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਡਾਈ; ਨਾਮਿ ਰਤੇ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੬॥
toon aape deveh naam vaddaaee; naam rate sukh paavaniaa |6|
ਤੂੰ ਖੁਦ ਹੀ ਆਪਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਬਜੁਰਗੀ ਪਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗੀਜਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਆਰਾਮ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
You Yourself bestow the glorious greatness of the Naam; attuned to the Naam, we find peace. ||6||
ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਸਾਚੇ; ਤੁਧੁ ਸਾਲਾਹੀ ॥
sadaa sadaa saache; tudh saalaahee |
ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਤੇ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਹੈ ਸੱਚੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਉਸਤਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
Forever and ever, O True Lord, I praise You.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਾਤਾ; ਦੂਜਾ ਕੋ ਨਾਹੀ ॥
guramukh jaataa; doojaa ko naahee |
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਮੈਂ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਦੂਸਰਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ।
As Gurmukh, I know no other at all.
ਏਕਸੁ ਸਿਉ ਮਨੁ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਏ; ਮਨਿ ਮੰਨਿਐ ਮਨਹਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥

ਇਕ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰਾ ਚਿੱਤ ਅਭੇਦ ਹੋਇਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਦ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦਾ ਅਨੁਰਾਗੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਆ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
My mind remains immersed in the One Lord; my mind surrenders to Him, and in my mind I meet Him. ||7||
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹੋਵੈ; ਸੋ ਸਾਲਾਹੇ ॥
guramukh hovai; so saalaahe |
ਜੋ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੀ ਪਰਸੰਸਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
One who becomes Gurmukh, praises the Lord.
ਸਾਚੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਵੇਪਰਵਾਹੇ ॥
saache tthaakur veparavaahe |
ਸੱਚਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਮੁਛੰਦਗੀ-ਰਹਿਤ ਹੈ।
Our True Lord and Master is Carefree.
ਨਾਨਕ. ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸੈ ਮਨ ਅੰਤਰਿ; ਗੁਰਸਬਦੀ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੮॥੨੧॥੨੨॥

ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਵੁਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੈ।
O Nanak, the Naam, the Name of the Lord, abides deep within the mind; through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, we merge with the Lord. ||8||21||22||

Maajh, Third Mehl:
ਤੇਰੇ ਭਗਤ ਸੋਹਹਿ; ਸਾਚੈ ਦਰਬਾਰੇ ॥
tere bhagat soheh; saachai darabaare |
ਤੇਰੇ ਜਾਨਿਸਾਰ ਤੇਰੀ ਸੱਚੀ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਅੰਦਰ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਲਗਦੇ ਹਨ।
Your devotees look beautiful in the True Court.
ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ; ਨਾਮਿ ਸਵਾਰੇ ॥
gur kai sabad; naam savaare |
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਹ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਸਸ਼ੋਭਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, they are adorned with the Naam.
ਸਦਾ ਅਨੰਦਿ ਰਹਹਿ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ; ਗੁਣ ਕਹਿ ਗੁਣੀ ਸਮਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥
sadaa anand raheh din raatee; gun keh gunee samaavaniaa |1|
ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਉਹ ਸਦੀਵ ਹੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਵਿਚਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਕੀਰਤੀ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਕੀਰਤੀ-ਮਾਨ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
They are forever in bliss, day and night; chanting the Glorious Praises of the Lord, they merge with the Lord of Glory. ||1||
