hukam soee tudh bhaavasee; hor aakhan. bahut apaar |
ਉਹੀ ਫੁਰਮਾਨ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲਗਦਾ ਹੈ। ਵਧੇਰੇ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਤੋਂ ਘਨੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਪਰੇ ਹੈ।
The Hukam of Your Command is the pleasure of Your Will, Lord. To say anything else is far beyond anyone's reach.
ਨਾਨਕ. ਸਚਾ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੁ; ਪੂਛਿ. ਨ ਕਰੇ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ॥੪॥

O Nanak, the True King does not seek advice from anyone else in His decisions. ||4||
ਬਾਬਾ. ਹੋਰੁ ਸਉਣਾ; ਖੁਸੀ ਖੁਆਰੁ ॥

ਹੇ ਭਰਾ! ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਆਰਾਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨਤਾ ਹਾਨੀ ਕਾਰਕ ਹੈ।
O Baba, the pleasure of other sleep is false.
ਜਿਤੁ ਸੁਤੈ. ਤਨੁ ਪੀੜੀਐ; ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਚਲਹਿ ਵਿਕਾਰ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥੪॥੭॥

ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਉਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਜਿਸਮ ਕੁਚਲਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਕਰਮ ਆਤਮਾ ਤੇ ਸਵਾਰ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।
By such sleep, the body is ruined, and wickedness and corruption enter into the mind. ||1||Pause||4||7||

ਕੁੰਗੂ ਕੀ ਕਾਂਇਆ, ਰਤਨਾ ਕੀ ਲਲਿਤਾ; ਅਗਰਿ ਵਾਸੁ ਤਨਿ ਸਾਸੁ ॥
kungoo kee kaaneaa, ratanaa kee lalitaa; agar vaas tan saas |
ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਅੰਦਰ ਈਸ਼ਵਰੀ ਗਿਆਤ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਦੀ ਦੇਹ ਕੇਸਰ ਵਰਗੀ ਮੁਬਾਰਕ, ਜੀਭ ਜਵੇਹਰ ਵਰਗੀ ਅਮੋਲਕ ਅਤੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਦਾ ਸੁਆਸ ਚੋਏ ਦੀ ਲੱਕੜ ਦੀ ਸੁੰਗਧੀ ਜਿਹਾ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਹੈ।
With the body of saffron, and the tongue a jewel, and the breath of the body pure fragrant incense;
ਅਠਸਠਿ ਤੀਰਥ ਕਾ ਮੁਖਿ ਟਿਕਾ; ਤਿਤੁ ਘਟਿ ਮਤਿ ਵਿਗਾਸੁ ॥
atthasatth teerath kaa mukh ttikaa; tith ghatt mat vigaas |
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਅਠਾਹਟ ਯਾਤ੍ਰਾ ਅਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਪਾਵਨ ਚਿੰਨ੍ਹ ਹੈ।
with the face anointed at the sixty-eight holy places of pilgrimage, and the heart illuminated with wisdom
ਓਤੁ ਮਤੀ ਸਾਲਾਹਣਾ; ਸਚੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਗੁਣਤਾਸੁ ॥੧॥
ot matee saalaahanaa; sach naam gunataas |1|
ਉਸ ਸਮਝ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਹ ਵਡਿਆਈਆਂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ, ਸੱਚੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਜੱਸ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
-with that wisdom, chant the Praises of the True Name, the Treasure of Excellence. ||1||
ਬਾਬਾ ਹੋਰ ਮਤਿ; ਹੋਰ ਹੋਰ ॥

ਹੇ ਵੀਰ! ਹੋਰਸੁ ਅਕਲ (ਰੂਹਾਨੀ ਮੰਡਲ ਲਈ) ਨਿਰੋਲ ਹੀ ਓਪਰੀ ਹੈ।
O Baba, other wisdom is useless and irrelevant.
ਜੇ ਸਉ ਵੇਰ ਕਮਾਈਐ; ਕੂੜੈ ਕੂੜਾ ਜੋਰੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
je sau ver kamaaeeai; koorrai koorraa jor |1| rahaau |
ਜੇਕਰ ਝੂਠ ਦੀ ਸੈਕੜੇ ਦਫ਼ਾ ਕਮਾਈ ਕਰੀਏ ਤਾਂ ਭੀ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਬਲ ਝੂਠਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।
If falsehood is practiced a hundred times, it is still false in its effects. ||1||Pause||
ਪੂਜ ਲਗੈ. ਪੀਰੁ ਆਖੀਐ; ਸਭੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥

ਜੇਕਰ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਉਹ ਰੂਹਾਨੀ ਰਹਿਬਰ ਸੱਦਿਆਂ ਜਾਵੇ, ਕਰਾਮਾਤੀ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਿਣਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ।
You may be worshipped and adored as a Pir (a spiritual teacher); you may be welcomed by all the world;
ਨਾਉ ਸਦਾਏ ਆਪਣਾ; ਹੋਵੈ ਸਿਧੁ ਸੁਮਾਰੁ ॥
naau sadaae aapanaa; hovai sidh sumaar |
ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਖਵਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰਾ ਜਹਾਨ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਆਉ-ਭਗਤ ਕਰੇ।
you may adopt a lofty name, and be known to have supernatural spiritual powers
ਜਾ ਪਤਿ. ਲੇਖੈ ਨਾ ਪਵੈ; ਸਭਾ ਪੂਜ ਖੁਆਰੁ ॥੨॥
jaa pat. lekhai naa pavai; sabhaa pooj khuaar |2|
ਜੇਕਰ ਉਹ ਪਤੀ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਕਬੂਲ ਨਾਂ ਪਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਸਮੂਹ ਉਪਾਸ਼ਨਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਵਾਜ਼ਾਰ ਕਰੇਗੀ।
-even so, if you are not accepted in the Court of the Lord, then all this adoration is false. ||2||
ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਥਾਪਿਆ; ਤਿਨ. ਮੇਟਿ ਨ ਸਕੈ ਕੋਇ ॥
jin kau satigur thaapiaa; tin. mett na sakai koe |
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਸਥਾਪਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਥੱਲੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਾਹ ਸਕਦਾ।
No one can overthrow those who have been established by the True Guru.
ਓਨਾ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਹੈ; ਨਾਮੋ ਪਰਗਟੁ ਹੋਇ ॥

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
The Treasure of the Naam, the Name of the Lord, is within them, and through the Naam, they are radiant and famous.
ਨਾਉ ਪੂਜੀਐ. ਨਾਉ ਮੰਨੀਐ; ਅਖੰਡੁ ਸਦਾ ਸਚੁ ਸੋਇ ॥੩॥
naau poojeeai. naau maneeai; akhandd sadaa sach soe |3|
ਉਹ ਹਰੀ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੇ ਹੀ ਨਿਸਚਾ ਧਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸਦੀਵ ਹੀ ਅਬਿਨਾਸ਼ੀ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਸੱਚਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ।
They worship the Naam, and they believe in the Naam. The True One is forever Intact and Unbroken. ||3||
ਖੇਹੂ ਖੇਹ ਰਲਾਈਐ; ਤਾ ਜੀਉ ਕੇਹਾ ਹੋਇ ॥
khehoo kheh ralaaeeai; taa jeeo kehaa hoe |
ਜਦ ਦੇਹ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਏਗੀ ਤਦ ਆਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਕੀ ਵਾਪਰੇਗੀ?
When the body mingles with dust, what happens to the soul?
ਜਲੀਆ ਸਭਿ ਸਿਆਣਪਾ; ਉਠੀ ਚਲਿਆ ਰੋਇ ॥
jaleea sabh siaanapaa; utthee chaliaa roe |
ਆਦਮੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚਤਰਾਈਆਂ ਸੜ (ਮੁੱਕ) ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਰੌਦਾਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਟੁਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
All clever tricks are burnt away, and you shall depart crying.
ਨਾਨਕ. ਨਾਮਿ ਵਿਸਾਰਿਐ; ਦਰਿ ਗਇਆ ਕਿਆ ਹੋਇ ॥੪॥੮॥

ਨਾਨਕ, ਜੇਕਰ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਲਾ ਦੇਵੇ, ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਤੇ ਪੁੱਜਣ ਉਤੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਕੀ ਸਲੂਕ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ?
O Nanak, those who forget the Naam-what will happen when they go to the Court of the Lord? ||4||8||

ਨੇਕ ਪਤਨੀ (ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਦੀਆਂ) ਨੇਕੀਆਂ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨੇਕੀ-ਬਿਹੁਨ ਪਸਚਾਤਾਪ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ।
The virtuous wife exudes virtue; the unvirtuous suffer in misery.
ਜੇ ਲੋੜਹਿ. ਵਰੁ ਕਾਮਣੀ; ਨਹ ਮਿਲੀਐ ਪਿਰ. ਕੂਰਿ ॥

ਹੇ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ! ਜੇਕਰ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਤ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਪਤੀ ਝੂਠ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਭੇਟਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ।
If you long for your Husband Lord, O soul-bride, you must know that He is not met by falsehood.
ਨਾ ਬੇੜੀ. ਨਾ ਤੁਲਹੜਾ; ਨਾ ਪਾਈਐ ਪਿਰੁ. ਦੂਰਿ ॥੧॥

ਤੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਦੁਰੇਡੇ ਹੈ। ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੀ। (ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪਾਰ ਲੈ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ) ਨਾਂ ਕਿਸ਼ਤੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਨਾਂ ਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਤੁਲਹਾ।
No boat or raft can take you to Him. Your Husband Lord is far away. ||1||
ਮੇਰੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਪੂਰੈ ਤਖਤਿ ਅਡੋਲੁ ॥

ਮੇਰਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ-ਸਿੰਘਾਸਨ ਅਹਿੱਲ ਹੈ।
My Lord and Master is Perfect; His Throne is Eternal and Immovable.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪੂਰਾ ਜੇ ਕਰੇ; ਪਾਈਐ ਸਾਚੁ ਅਤੋਲੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ਜੇਕਰ ਉਤਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਨ ਬਣਾ ਦੇਣ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਅਪਾਰ ਸੱਚੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।
One who attains perfection as Gurmukh, obtains the Immeasurable True Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰੁ ਸੋਹਣਾ; ਤਿਸੁ ਮਹਿ ਮਾਣਕ ਲਾਲ ॥

ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦਾ ਮਹਿਲ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੇਦਾਗ ਮਣੀਆਂ,
The Palace of the Lord God is so beautiful.
ਮੋਤੀ ਹੀਰਾ ਨਿਰਮਲਾ; ਕੰਚਨ ਕੋਟ ਰੀਸਾਲ ॥
motee heeraa niramalaa; kanchan kott reesaal |
ਜਵੇਹਰ, ਨਗ-ਪੰਨੇ ਅਤੇ ਜਵਾਹਿਰਾਤ ਜੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ। (ਇਸ ਦੇ ਉਦਾਲੇ) ਸੋਨੇ ਦਾ ਕਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਦਾ ਨਿਰਮਲਾ ਘਰ ਹੈ।
Within it, there are gems, rubies, pearls and flawless diamonds. A fortress of gold surrounds this Source of Nectar.
ਬਿਨੁ ਪਉੜੀ. ਗੜਿ ਕਿਉ ਚੜਉ; ਗੁਰ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਿਹਾਲ ॥੨॥

ਸੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਦੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਮੈਂ ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਉਤੇ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਂਗਾ? ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ, ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ, ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ।
How can I climb up to the Fortress without a ladder? By meditating on the Lord, through the Guru, I am blessed and exalted. ||2||
ਗੁਰੁ ਪਉੜੀ. ਬੇੜੀ ਗੁਰੂ; ਗੁਰੁ ਤੁਲਹਾ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਉ ॥

(ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਤਾਈ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ) ਗੁਰੂ ਸੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਹੀ ਨਾਉਕਾ ਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਹੀ ਤੁਲਹੜਾ।
The Guru is the Ladder, the Guru is the Boat, and the Guru is the Raft to take me to the Lord's Name.
ਗੁਰੁ ਸਰੁ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਬੋਹਿਥੋ; ਗੁਰੁ ਤੀਰਥੁ ਦਰੀਆਉ ॥

ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦੀ ਝੀਲ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਗੁਰੂ (ਮੇਰਾ) ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਹੀ (ਮੇਰਾ) ਯਾਤ੍ਰਾ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਨਦੀ ਹੈ।
The Guru is the Boat to carry me across the world-ocean; the Guru is the Sacred Shrine of Pilgrimage, the Guru is the Holy River.
ਜੇ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਊਜਲੀ; ਸਤ ਸਰਿ ਨਾਵਣ ਜਾਉ ॥੩॥
je tis bhaavai aoojalee; sat sar naavan jaau |3|
ਜੇਕਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗੇ, ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਸੱਚੇ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਨ੍ਹਾਉਣ ਜਾਵਾਂਗੀ ਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਵਾਂਗੀ।
If it pleases Him, I bathe in the Pool of Truth, and become radiant and pure. ||3||
ਪੂਰੋ ਪੂਰੋ ਆਖੀਐ; ਪੂਰੈ ਤਖਤਿ ਨਿਵਾਸ ॥
pooro pooro aakheeai; poorai takhat nivaas |
ਮਾਲਕ ਮੁਕੰਮਲਾ ਦਾ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਰਾਜ ਸਿੰਘਾਸਨ ਤੇ ਬਿਰਾਜਮਾਨ ਹੈ।
He is called the Most Perfect of the Perfect. He sits upon His Perfect Throne.
ਪੂਰੈ ਥਾਨਿ ਸੁਹਾਵਣੈ; ਪੂਰੈ ਆਸ ਨਿਰਾਸ ॥
poorai thaan suhaavanai; poorai aas niraas |
ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੁੰਮਲ ਆਸਨ ਤੇ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਲਗਦਾ ਹੈ। ਤੇ ਬੇ-ਉਮੈਦਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਊਮੈਦਾਂ ਪੂਰੀਆਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
He looks so Beautiful in His Perfect Place. He fulfills the hopes of the hopeless.
ਨਾਨਕ. ਪੂਰਾ ਜੇ ਮਿਲੈ; ਕਿਉ ਘਾਟੈ ਗੁਣ ਤਾਸ ॥੪॥੯॥

ਨਾਨਕ, ਜੇਕਰ ਮਨੁਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਮਾਲਕ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਨੇਕੀਆਂ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਘੱਟ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ?
O Nanak, if one obtains the Perfect Lord, how can his virtues decrease? ||4||9||

ਮਿਲਿ ਕੈ ਕਰਹ ਕਹਾਣੀਆ; ਸੰਮ੍ਰਥ ਕੰਤ ਕੀਆਹ ॥
mil kai karah kahaaneea; samrath kant keeaah |
ਇਕੱਠੀਆਂ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਆਓ ਆਪਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ-ਮਾਨ ਭਰਤੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਾਤਾਂ ਪਾਈਏ।
Let's join together, and tell stories of our All-powerful Husband Lord.
ਸਾਚੇ ਸਾਹਿਬ. ਸਭਿ ਗੁਣ; ਅਉਗਣ ਸਭਿ ਅਸਾਹ ॥੧॥

ਸੱਚੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਸਮੂਹ ਚੰਗਿਆਈਆਂ ਹਨ, ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮੁਹ ਬੁਰਿਆਈਆਂ।
All Virtues are in our True Lord and Master; we are utterly without virtue. ||1||
ਕਰਤਾ; ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਤੇਰੈ ਜੋਰਿ ॥
karataa; sabh ko terai jor |
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਕਰਤਾਰ! ਸਾਰੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਵੱਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ।
O Creator Lord, all are in Your Power.
ਏਕੁ ਸਬਦੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੀਐ; ਜਾ ਤੂ. ਤਾ ਕਿਆ ਹੋਰਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ek sabad beechaareeai; jaa too. taa kiaa hor |1| rahaau |
ਮੈਂ ਇਕ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਚਿੰਤਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜਦ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੈਂ। ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਤਦ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਕੀ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ? ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।
I dwell upon the One Word of the Shabad. You are mine-what else do I need? ||1||Pause||
ਜਾਇ ਪੁਛਹੁ ਸੋਹਾਗਣੀ; ਤੁਸੀ ਰਾਵਿਆ. ਕਿਨੀ ਗੁਣਂੀ ॥
jaae puchhahu sohaaganee; tusee raaviaa. kinee gunanee |
ਜਾ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਪਤਨੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਤਾ ਕਰ ਲੈ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਖੂਬੀਆਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਣਿਆ ਹੈ?
Go, and ask the happy soul-brides, "By what virtuous qualities do you enjoy your Husband Lord?"
ਸਹਜਿ ਸੰਤੋਖਿ ਸੀਗਾਰੀਆ; ਮਿਠਾ ਬੋਲਣੀ ॥
sehaj santokh seegaareea; mitthaa bolanee |
(ਉਹ ਆਖਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ) ਬ੍ਰਹਮ-ਵੀਚਾਰ, ਸਬਰ ਅਤੇ ਮਿੱਠੜੇ ਬਚਨ ਬਿਲਾਸਾ ਦੇ ਹਾਰ-ਸ਼ਿੰਗਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ!
"We are adorned with intuitive ease, contentment and sweet words.
ਪਿਰੁ ਰੀਸਾਲੂ ਤਾ ਮਿਲੈ; ਜਾ. ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਸੁਣੀ ॥੨॥
pir reesaaloo taa milai; jaa. gur kaa sabad sunee |2|
ਜੇਕਰ ਉਹ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਸ੍ਰਵਣ ਕਰੇ, ਤਾਂ ਹੀ, ਅਨੰਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
We meet with our Beloved, the Source of Joy, when we listen to the Word of the Guru's Shabad." ||2||
