ਮਨਿ ਨਿਰਮਲਿ; ਵਸੈ ਸਚੁ ਸੋਇ ॥
man niramal; vasai sach soe |
ਆਤਮਾ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸੱਚਾ ਸਾਈਂ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
The mind becomes pure, when the True Lord dwells within.
ਸਾਚਿ ਵਸਿਐ; ਸਾਚੀ ਸਭ ਕਾਰ ॥
saach vasiai; saachee sabh kaar |
ਜੇਕਰ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਸੱਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਕਰ ਲਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਕਰਮ ਸੱਚੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
When one dwells in Truth, all actions become true.
ਊਤਮ ਕਰਣੀ; ਸਬਦ ਬੀਚਾਰ ॥੩॥
aootam karanee; sabad beechaar |3|
ਪਰਮ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਕਾਰਵਿਹਾਰ, ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਣ ਹੈ।
The ultimate action is to contemplate the Word of the Shabad. ||3||
ਗੁਰ ਤੇ; ਸਾਚੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਹੋਇ ॥
gur te; saachee sevaa hoe |
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸੱਚੀ ਟਹਿਲ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਮਾਈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
Through the Guru, true service is performed.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ; ਪਛਾਣੈ ਕੋਇ ॥
guramukh naam; pachhaanai koe |
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਰੀਏ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਹੀ ਹਰੀ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੰਞਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ।
How rare is that Gurmukh who recognizes the Naam, the Name of the Lord.
ਜੀਵੈ ਦਾਤਾ; ਦੇਵਣਹਾਰੁ ॥
jeevai daataa; devanahaar |
ਦਾਤਾਰ ਤੇ ਸਖੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ, ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਜੀਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
The Giver, the Great Giver, lives forever.
ਨਾਨਕ. ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੇ; ਲਗੈ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥੪॥੧॥੨੧॥

ਰਬ ਕਰਕੇ, ਨਾਨਕ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਪੈ ਜਾਵੇ।
Nanak enshrines love for the Name of the Lord. ||4||1||21||

ਗੁਰ ਤੇ; ਗਿਆਨੁ ਪਾਏ ਜਨੁ ਕੋਇ ॥

ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਹੀ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ-ਬੀਚਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Those who obtain spiritual wisdom from the Guru are very rare.
ਗੁਰ ਤੇ; ਬੂਝੈ ਸੀਝੈ ਸੋਇ ॥
gur te; boojhai seejhai soe |
ਜੋ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਰੀਏ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਕਬੂਲ ਪੈ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Those who obtain this understanding from the Guru become acceptable.
ਗੁਰ ਤੇ; ਸਹਜੁ ਸਾਚੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ॥
gur te; sehaj saach beechaar |
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਸੱਚੇ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Through the Guru, we intuitively contemplate the True One.
ਗੁਰ ਤੇ; ਪਾਏ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਦੁਆਰੁ ॥੧॥
gur te; paae mukat duaar |1|
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਮੋਖਸ਼ ਦਾ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Through the Guru, the Gate of Liberation is found. ||1||
ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ; ਮਿਲੈ ਗੁਰੁ ਆਇ ॥
poorai bhaag; milai gur aae |
ਪੂਰਨ ਚੰਗੇ ਨਸੀਬਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਆ ਕੇ (ਇਨਸਾਨ ਨੂੰ) ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Through perfect good destiny, we come to meet the Guru.
ਸਾਚੈ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਾਚਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ਸਚਿਆਰ ਸੁਖੈਨ ਹੀ ਸੱਚੇ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਅੰਦਰ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।
The true ones are intuitively absorbed in the True Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਗੁਰਿ ਮਿਲਿਐ; ਤਿ੍ਰਸਨਾ ਅਗਨਿ ਬੁਝਾਏ ॥
gur miliai; trisanaa agan bujhaae |
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਟਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਖਾਹਿਸ਼ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਬੁਝ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
Meeting the Guru, the fire of desire is quenched.
ਗੁਰ ਤੇ; ਸਾਂਤਿ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਏ ॥
gur te; saant vasai man aae |
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਰੀਏ ਠੰਢ ਚੈਨ ਆ ਕੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਟਿਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
Through the Guru, peace and tranquility come to dwell within the mind.
ਗੁਰ ਤੇ; ਪਵਿਤ ਪਾਵਨ ਸੁਚਿ ਹੋਇ ॥
gur te; pavit paavan such hoe |
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਬੰਦਾ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਬੇਦਾਗ ਤੇ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Through the Guru, we become pure, holy and true.
ਗੁਰ ਤੇ; ਸਬਦਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਾ ਹੋਇ ॥੨॥
gur te; sabad milaavaa hoe |2|
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Through the Guru, we are absorbed in the Word of the Shabad. ||2||
ਬਾਝੁ ਗੁਰੂ; ਸਭ ਭਰਮਿ ਭੁਲਾਈ ॥
baajh guroo; sabh bharam bhulaaee |
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਵਹਿਮ ਅੰਦਰ ਭਟਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
Without the Guru, everyone wanders in doubt.
ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਵੈ; ਬਹੁਤਾ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਈ ॥
bin naavai; bahutaa dukh paaee |
ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਬਾਝੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਘਣਾ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਉਠਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Without the Name, they suffer in terrible pain.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹੋਵੈ, ਸੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਈ ॥
guramukh hovai, su naam dhiaaee |
ਜੋ ਗੁਰੂ-ਅਨੁਸਾਰੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Those who meditate on the Naam become Gurmukh.
ਦਰਸਨਿ ਸਚੈ; ਸਚੀ ਪਤਿ ਹੋਈ ॥੩॥
darasan sachai; sachee pat hoee |3|
ਸਤਿ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੇ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸੱਚੀ ਇਜਤ-ਆਬਰੂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
True honor is obtained through the Darshan, the Blessed Vision of the True Lord. ||3||
ਕਿਸ ਨੋ ਕਹੀਐ; ਦਾਤਾ ਇਕੁ ਸੋਈ ॥
kis no kaheeai; daataa ik soee |
ਕੇਵਲ ਓਹੀ ਦਾਤਾਰ ਹੈ, ਹੋਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਦਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਕਰੀਏ?
Why speak of any other? He alone is the Giver.
ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੇ; ਸਬਦਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਾ ਹੋਈ ॥
kirapaa kare; sabad milaavaa hoee |
ਜੇਕਰ, ਉਹ ਮਿਹਰ ਧਾਰੇ ਤਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
When He grants His Grace, union with the Shabad is obtained.
ਮਿਲਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ; ਸਾਚੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਾ ॥
mil preetam; saache gun gaavaa |
ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਟ ਕੇ, ਮੈਂ ਸੱਚੇ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦਾ ਜੱਸ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
Meeting with my Beloved, I sing the Glorious Praises of the True Lord.
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਚੇ ਸਾਚਿ ਸਮਾਵਾ ॥੪॥੨॥੨੨॥

ਨਾਨਕ ਸਚਿਆਰ ਬਣ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਸਤਿਪੁਰਖ ਅੰਦਰ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ।
O Nanak, becoming true, I am absorbed in the True One. ||4||2||22||

ਸੁ ਥਾਉ ਸਚੁ; ਮਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹੋਇ ॥
su thaau sach; man niramal hoe |
ਸੱਚੀ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਥਾਂ ਜਿਥੇ ਮਨ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
True is that place, where the mind becomes pure.
ਸਚਿ ਨਿਵਾਸੁ ਕਰੇ ਸਚੁ ਸੋਇ ॥
sach nivaas kare sach soe |
ਸੱਚਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਜੋ ਸੱਚ ਅੰਦਰ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
True is the one who abides in Truth.
ਸਚੀ ਬਾਣੀ; ਜੁਗ ਚਾਰੇ ਜਾਪੈ ॥
sachee baanee; jug chaare jaapai |
ਸੱਚੀ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਚਾਰਾਂ ਹੀ ਯੁਗਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਪਰਸਿੱਧ ਹੈ।
The True Bani of the Word is known throughout the four ages.
ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਸਾਚਾ; ਆਪੇ ਆਪੈ ॥੧॥
sabh kichh saachaa; aape aapai |1|
ਸੱਚਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸਾਰਾ ਕੁਝ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਹੈ।
The True One Himself is everything. ||1||
ਕਰਮੁ ਹੋਵੈ; ਸਤਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਲਾਏ ॥
karam hovai; satasang milaae |
ਚੰਗੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਜੁੜਦਾ ਹੈ।
Through the karma of good actions, one joins the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation.
ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ; ਬੈਸਿ ਸੁ ਥਾਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
har gun gaavai; bais su thaae |1| rahaau |
ਉਹ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਤੇ ਬੈਠ ਕੇ, ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕੀਰਤੀ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।
Sing the Glories of the Lord, sitting in that place. ||1||Pause||
ਜਲਉ ਇਹ ਜਿਹਵਾ; ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ॥
jlau ih jihavaa; doojai bhaae |
ਇਹ ਜੀਭ ਸੜ ਵੰਞੇ, ਜੋ ਹੋਰਨਾ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਦੀ ਮੁਸ਼ਤਾਕ ਹੈ,
Burn this tongue, which loves duality,
ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ. ਨ ਚਾਖੈ; ਫੀਕਾ ਆਲਾਇ ॥
har ras. na chaakhai; feekaa aalaae |
ਤੇ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਭੁੰਚਦੀ, ਅਤੇ ਰੁੱਖੇ ਬਚਨ ਬੋਲਦੀ ਹੈ।
which does not taste the sublime essence of the Lord, and which utters insipid words.
ਬਿਨੁ ਬੂਝੇ; ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਫੀਕਾ ਹੋਇ ॥
bin boojhe; tan man feekaa hoe |
ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੂੰ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਬਾਝੋਂ ਦੇਹਿ ਤੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਫਿਕਲੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Without understanding, the body and mind become tasteless and insipid.
ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਵੈ; ਦੁਖੀਆ ਚਲਿਆ ਰੋਇ ॥੨॥
bin naavai; dukheea chaliaa roe |2|
ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਬਦਬਖਤ ਬੰਦਾ ਵਿਰਲਾਪ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਟੁਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Without the Name, the miserable ones depart crying out in pain. ||2||
ਰਸਨਾ. ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਚਾਖਿਆ; ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ ॥
rasanaa. har ras chaakhiaa; sehaj subhaae |
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਜੀਭ, ਸੁਤੇਸਿਧ ਹੀ, ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਧਾਰਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਨ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ,
One whose tongue naturally and intuitively tastes the Lord's sublime essence,
ਗੁਰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ; ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥
gur kirapaa te; sach samaae |
ਉਹ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਇਆ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸੱਚੇ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
By Guru's Grace, is absorbed in the True Lord.
ਸਾਚੇ ਰਾਤੀ; ਗੁਰਸਬਦੁ ਵੀਚਾਰ ॥
saache raatee; gurasabad veechaar |
ਜਬਾਨ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਸੱਚ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਚਦੀ-ਵਿਚਾਰਦੀ ਹੈ,
Imbued with Truth, one contemplates the Word of the Guru's Shabad,
ਅੰਮਿ੍ਰਤੁ ਪੀਵੈ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਧਾਰ ॥੩॥
amrit peevai niramal dhaar |3|
ਉਹ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਨਦੀ ਦਾ ਆਬਿ-ਹਿਯਾਤ ਛਕਦੀ ਹੈ।
and drinks in the Ambrosial Nectar, from the immaculate stream within. ||3||
ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਵੈ; ਜੋ ਭਾਡਾ ਹੋਇ ॥
naam samaavai; jo bhaaddaa hoe |
ਜੇਕਰ ਰਿਦਾ-ਬਰਤਨ ਸਿੱਧਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਨਾਮ ਇਕੱਤ੍ਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ
The Naam, the Name of the Lord, is collected in the vessel of the mind.
ਊਂਧੈ ਭਾਂਡੈ; ਟਿਕੈ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥
aoondhai bhaanddai; ttikai na koe |
ਮੁੰਧੇ ਬਰਤਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਝ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਠਹਿਰਦਾ।
Nothing is collected if the vessel is upside-down.
ਗੁਰਸਬਦੀ; ਮਨਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਨਿਵਾਸੁ ॥
gurasabadee; man naam nivaas |
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੁਆਰਾ, ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਦੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਵਸ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, the Naam abides within the mind.
ਨਾਨਕ. ਸਚੁ ਭਾਂਡਾ; ਜਿਸੁ ਸਬਦ ਪਿਆਸ ॥੪॥੩॥੨੩॥

ਨਾਨਕ ਸੱਚਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਹਿਰਦਾ-ਬਰਤਨ, ਜੋ ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਲਈ ਤਿਹਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
O Nanak, True is that vessel of the mind, which thirsts for the Shabad. ||4||3||23||

Some sing on and on, but their minds do not find happiness.
ਹਉਮੈ ਵਿਚਿ ਗਾਵਹਿ; ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਾਇ ॥
haumai vich gaaveh; birathaa jaae |
ਹੰਕਾਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਉਹ ਗਾਊਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰਾ ਕੁਝ ਬੇਅਰਥ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
In egotism, they sing, but it is wasted uselessly.
ਗਾਵਣਿ ਗਾਵਹਿ; ਜਿਨ ਨਾਮ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥
gaavan gaaveh; jin naam piaar |
ਜੋ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Those who love the Naam, sing the song.
ਸਾਚੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਬਦ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ॥੧॥

ਉਹ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ, ਸੱਚੀ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ, ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
They contemplate the True Bani of the Word, and the Shabad. ||1||
ਗਾਵਤ ਰਹੈ; ਜੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਭਾਵੈ ॥

ਜੇਕਰ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲਗੇ, ਤਾਂ ਆਦਮੀ ਸਾਈਂ ਦਾ ਜੱਸ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
They sing on and on, if it pleases the True Guru.
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਰਾਤਾ; ਨਾਮਿ ਸੁਹਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
man tan raataa; naam suhaavai |1| rahaau |
ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗੀਜੇ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਤੇ ਦੇਹਿ ਸਸ਼ੋਭਤ ਦਿਸਦੇ ਹਨ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।
Their minds and bodies are embellished and adorned, attuned to the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਇਕਿ ਗਾਵਹਿ; ਇਕਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰੇਹਿ ॥
eik gaaveh; ik bhagat karehi |
ਕਈ ਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਕਈ ਟਹਿਲ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਮਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Some sing, and some perform devotional worship.
ਨਾਮੁ. ਨ ਪਾਵਹਿ; ਬਿਨੁ ਅਸਨੇਹ ॥
naam. na paaveh; bin asaneh |
ਪਰ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਪਿਰਹੜੀ ਦੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ।
Without heart-felt love, the Naam is not obtained.
ਸਚੀ ਭਗਤਿ; ਗੁਰਸਬਦ ਪਿਆਰਿ ॥
sachee bhagat; gurasabad piaar |
ਸੱਚਾ ਅਨੁਰਾਗ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ।
True devotional worship consists of love for the Word of the Guru's Shabad.
ਅਪਨਾ ਪਿਰੁ ਰਾਖਿਆ; ਸਦਾ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰਿ ॥੨॥
apanaa pir raakhiaa; sadaa ur dhaar |2|
ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਨੂੰ ਅਨੁਰਾਗੀ, ਸਦੀਵ ਹੀ, ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲ ਨਾਲ ਲਾਈ ਰਖਦਾ ਹੈ।
The devotee keeps his Beloved clasped tightly to his heart. ||2||
