ਰਾਗ ਗਊੜੀ ਗੁਆਰੇਰੀ। ਤੀਜੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਚਉਪਦੇ।

Raag Gauree Gwaarayree: Third Mehl, Chau-Padhay:

ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੇਵਲ ਇਕ ਹੈ, ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਇਆ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਟਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Meeting the Guru, we meet the Lord.

ਉਹ ਮਾਲਕ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

He Himself unites us in His Union.

ਮੇਰਾ ਸਾਈਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਯੁਕਤੀਆਂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ।

My God knows all His Own Ways.

ਆਪਣੇ ਫੁਰਮਾਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ, ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਅਭੇਦ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੰਞਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ।

By the Hukam of His Command, He unites those who recognize the Word of the Shabad. ||1||

ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਡਰ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸੰਦੇਹ ਤੇ ਹੋਰਸੁ ਦਾ ਖੌਫ ਅਲੋਪ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

By the Fear of the True Guru, doubt and fear are dispelled.

ਜੋ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਤ੍ਰਾਂਸ ਅੰਦਰ ਡੁੱਬਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਤਿਪੁਰਖ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।

Imbued with His Fear, we are absorbed in the Love of the True One. ||1||Pause||

ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਟਣ ਤੇ, ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ, ਸੁਖੈਨ ਹੀ ਬੰਦੇ ਦੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਟਿਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Meeting the Guru, the Lord naturally dwells within the mind.

ਮੇਰਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਪਾਇਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ।

My God is Great and Almighty; His value cannot be estimated.

ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਤਾਂਬੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪਰਸੰਸਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਓੜਕ, ਇਹ ਜਾਂ ਉਹ ਕਿਨਾਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ।

Through the Shabad, I praise Him; He has no end or limitations.

ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮੁਆਫੀ-ਦੇਣਹਾਰ ਹੈ। ਰੱਬ ਕਰੇ, ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਫ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇ।

My God is the Forgiver. I pray that He may forgive me. ||2||

ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਣ ਤੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਝ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

Meeting the Guru, all wisdom and understanding are obtained.

ਆਤਮਾ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸੱਚਾ ਸਾਈਂ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

The mind becomes pure, when the True Lord dwells within.

ਜੇਕਰ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਸੱਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਕਰ ਲਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਕਰਮ ਸੱਚੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

When one dwells in Truth, all actions become true.

ਪਰਮ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਕਾਰਵਿਹਾਰ, ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਣ ਹੈ।

The ultimate action is to contemplate the Word of the Shabad. ||3||

ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸੱਚੀ ਟਹਿਲ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਮਾਈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

Through the Guru, true service is performed.

ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਰੀਏ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਹੀ ਹਰੀ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੰਞਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ।

How rare is that Gurmukh who recognizes the Naam, the Name of the Lord.

ਦਾਤਾਰ ਤੇ ਸਖੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ, ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਜੀਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

The Giver, the Great Giver, lives forever.

ਰਬ ਕਰਕੇ, ਨਾਨਕ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਪੈ ਜਾਵੇ।

Nanak enshrines love for the Name of the Lord. ||4||1||21||
