ਨਾਮ ਸੰਜੋਗੀ; ਗੋਇਲਿ ਥਾਟੁ ॥

ਜੋ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬਧਤ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਚਰਾਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕ ਆਰਜੀ ਝੁੱਗੀ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਹਨ।
Those who are committed to the Naam, see the world as merely a temporary pasture.
ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ; ਫੂਟੈ ਬਿਖੁ ਮਾਟੁ ॥
kaam krodh; foottai bikh maatt |
ਭੋਗ ਵਿਲਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਰੋਹ ਦਾ ਜਹਿਰੀਲਾ ਮੱਟ ਆਖਰਕਾਰ ਫੁੱਟ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Sexual desire and anger are broken, like a jar of poison.
ਬਿਨੁ ਵਖਰ; ਸੂਨੋ ਘਰੁ ਹਾਟੁ ॥

ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਸੌਦੇ ਸੂਤ ਦੇ ਬਾਝੋਂ ਦੇਹਿ ਰੂਪੀ ਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਅਤੇ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਹੱਟੀ ਖਾਲੀ ਹਨ।
Without the merchandise of the Name, the house of the body and the store of the mind are empty.
ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ; ਖੋਲੇ ਬਜਰ ਕਪਾਟ ॥੪॥

ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਟਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕਰੜੇ ਤਖਤੇ ਖੁਲ੍ਹ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Meeting the Guru, the hard and heavy doors are opened. ||4||
ਸਾਧੁ ਮਿਲੈ; ਪੂਰਬ ਸੰਜੋਗ ॥

ਪੂਰਬਲੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਲਬਧ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸੰਤ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
One meets the Holy Saint only through perfect destiny.
ਸਚਿ ਰਹਸੇ; ਪੂਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਲੋਗ ॥

ਸਾਈਂ ਦੇ ਪੂਰਨ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਸੱਚ ਅੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
The Lord's perfect people rejoice in the Truth.
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਦੇ; ਲੈ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ ॥

ਜੋ ਆਪਣੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਤੇ ਦੇਹਿ ਸਮਰਪਣ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਨਿਰਯਤਨ ਹੀ, ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ,
Surrendering their minds and bodies, they find the Lord with intuitive ease.
ਨਾਨਕ; ਤਿਨ ਕੈ ਲਾਗਉ ਪਾਇ ॥੫॥੬॥

ਨਾਨਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਡਿਗਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਭੋਗ, ਗੁੱਸੇ ਅਤੇ ਧਨ-ਦੌਲਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਤੇਰਾ ਮਲ ਖਚਤ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
The conscious mind is engrossed in sexual desire, anger and Maya.
ਝੂਠ ਵਿਕਾਰਿ; ਜਾਗੈ ਹਿਤ ਚੀਤੁ ॥
jhootth vikaar; jaagai hit cheet |
ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਅੰਦਰ ਸੰਸਾਰੀ ਮਮਤਾ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਸਬਬ ਤੂੰ ਕੂੜ ਤੇ ਪਾਪ ਅੰਦਰ ਸਾਵਧਾਨ ਹੈ।
The conscious mind is awake only to falsehood, corruption and attachment.
ਪੂੰਜੀ; ਪਾਪ ਲੋਭ ਕੀ ਕੀਤੁ ॥

ਤੂੰ ਗੁਨਾਹ ਤੇ ਲਾਲਚ ਦੀ ਰਾਸ ਇਕੱਠੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।
It gathers in the assets of sin and greed.
ਤਰੁ ਤਾਰੀ; ਮਨਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੁਚੀਤੁ ॥੧॥

ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਆਤਮਾ! ਤੂੰ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਨਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਹੋ ਜਾ।
So swim across the river of life, O my mind, with the Sacred Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||1||
ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਸਾਚੇ; ਮੈ ਤੇਰੀ ਟੇਕ ॥
vaahu vaahu saache; mai teree ttek |
ਅਸਚਰਜ ਹੈਂ ਧੰਨ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੇਵਲ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ।
Waaho! Waaho! - Great! Great is my True Lord! I seek Your All-powerful Support.
ਹਉ ਪਾਪੀ; ਤੂੰ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਏਕ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ਅਗਨਿ ਪਾਣੀ; ਬੋਲੈ ਭੜਵਾਉ ॥

ਅੱਗ ਤੇ ਜਲ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਸੁਆਸ ਉੱਚੀ ਉੱਚੀ ਗੂੰਜਦਾ ਹੈ।
Fire and water join together, and the breath roars in its fury!
ਜਿਹਵਾ ਇੰਦ੍ਰੀ; ਏਕੁ ਸੁਆਉ ॥

ਜੀਭ ਦੇ ਵਿਸੇ-ਭੋਗ ਅੰਗ ਇਕ ਇਕ ਸੁਆਦ ਮਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ।
The tongue and the sex organs each seek to taste.
ਦਿਸਟਿ ਵਿਕਾਰੀ; ਨਾਹੀ ਭਉ ਭਾਉ ॥

ਮੰਦੀ-ਨਿੰਗ੍ਹਾ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪੱਲੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਡਰ ਤੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਹੀਂ।
The eyes which look upon corruption do not know the Love and the Fear of God.
ਆਪੁ ਮਾਰੇ; ਤਾ ਪਾਏ ਨਾਉ ॥੨॥

ਜੇਕਰ ਬੰਦਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਵੈ-ਹੰਗਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਟ ਦੇਵੇ ਤਦ ਉਹ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Conquering self-conceit, one obtains the Name. ||2||
ਸਬਦਿ ਮਰੈ; ਫਿਰਿ. ਮਰਣੁ ਨ ਹੋਇ ॥
sabad marai; fir. maran na hoe |
ਜੋ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੜਾ ਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਰਦਾ।
One who dies in the Word of the Shabad, shall never again have to die.
ਬਿਨੁ ਮੂਏ; ਕਿਉ ਪੂਰਾ ਹੋਇ ॥

ਐਸੀ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਬਾਝੋਂ ਬੰਦਾ ਪੂਰਣਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਪੁਜ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ?
Without such a death, how can one attain perfection?
ਪਰਪੰਚਿ ਵਿਆਪਿ ਰਹਿਆ; ਮਨੁ ਦੋਇ ॥

ਮਨ ਪਸਾਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਦਵੈਤ ਭਾਵ ਅੰਦਰ ਖਚਤ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
The mind is engrossed in deception, treachery and duality.
ਥਿਰੁ ਨਾਰਾਇਣੁ; ਕਰੇ ਸੁ ਹੋਇ ॥੩॥
thir naaraaein; kare su hoe |3|
ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਅਮਰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਹੋ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Whatever the Immortal Lord does, comes to pass. ||3||
ਬੋਹਿਥਿ ਚੜਉ; ਜਾ ਆਵੈ ਵਾਰੁ ॥
bohith chrrau; jaa aavai vaar |
ਮੈਂ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ, ਜਦ ਮੇਰੀ ਵਾਰੀ ਆਈ।
So get aboard that boat when your turn comes.
ਠਾਕੇ ਬੋਹਿਥ; ਦਰਗਹ ਮਾਰ ॥
tthaake bohith; daragah maar |
ਜੋ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਉਤੇ ਸਵਾਰ ਹੋਣੋ ਰੋਕੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਕੁਟ ਪਏਗੀ।
Those who fail to embark upon that boat shall be beaten in the Court of the Lord.
ਸਚੁ ਸਾਲਾਹੀ; ਧੰਨੁ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰੁ ॥
sach saalaahee; dhan guraduaar |
ਮੁਬਾਰਕ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਰਬਾਰ, ਜਿਥੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਕੀਰਤੀ ਗਾਇਨ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
Blessed is that Gurdwara, the Guru's Gate, where the Praises of the True Lord are sung.
ਨਾਨਕ ਦਰਿ ਘਰਿ ਏਕੰਕਾਰੁ ॥੪॥੭॥

ਨਾਨਕ ਅਦੁੱਤੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਘਰਬਾਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
O Nanak, the One Creator Lord is pervading hearth and home. ||4||7||

ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਮੂਧਾ ਕੰਵਲ ਸਿੱਧਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
The inverted heart-lotus has been turned upright, through reflective meditation on God.
ਅੰਮਿ੍ਰਤ ਧਾਰ; ਗਗਨਿ ਦਸ ਦੁਆਰਿ ॥
amrit dhaar; gagan das duaar |
ਦਸਵੇਂ ਦੁਆਰੇ ਦੇ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਸੁਧਾਰਸ ਦੀ ਨਦੀ ਟਪਕਣੀ ਆਰੰਭ ਹੋ ਗਈ।
From the Sky of the Tenth Gate, the Ambrosial Nectar trickles down.
ਤਿ੍ਰਭਵਣੁ ਬੇਧਿਆ; ਆਪਿ ਮੁਰਾਰਿ ॥੧॥
tribhavan bedhiaa; aap muraar |1|
ਹੰਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਵੈਰੀ, ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ, ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਜਹਾਨਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
The Lord Himself is pervading the three worlds. ||1||
ਰੇ ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ; ਭਰਮੁ ਨ ਕੀਜੈ ॥
re man mere; bharam na keejai |
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੜੀਏ! ਕਿਸੇ ਸੰਸੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾਂ ਪੈ।
O my mind, do not give in to doubt.
ਮਨਿ ਮਾਨਿਐ; ਅੰਮਿ੍ਰਤ ਰਸੁ ਪੀਜੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
man maaniai; amrit ras peejai |1| rahaau |
ਮਨੂਏ ਦੀ ਸੰਤੁਸ਼ਟਤਾ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਅਮਰ ਕਰ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਆਬਿ-ਹਿਯਾਤ ਪਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।
When the mind surrenders to the Name, it drinks in the essence of Ambrosial Nectar. ||1||Pause||
ਜਨਮੁ ਜੀਤਿ; ਮਰਣਿ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਿਆ ॥
janam jeet; maran man maaniaa |
ਆਪਣੀ ਜੀਵਣ ਖੇਡ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤ ਹੇ ਬੰਦੇ! ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਮੌਤ ਦੀ ਸੱਚਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਕਬੂਲ ਕਰ।
So win the game of life; let your mind surrender and accept death.
ਆਪਿ ਮੂਆ; ਮਨੁ ਮਨ ਤੇ ਜਾਨਿਆ ॥
aap mooaa; man man te jaaniaa |
ਜਦ ਆਪਾ ਨਵਿਰਤੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਪਰਮ-ਆਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਚਿੱਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੀ ਗਿਆਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
When the self dies, the individual mind comes to know the Supreme Mind.
ਨਜਰਿ ਭਈ; ਘਰੁ ਘਰ ਤੇ ਜਾਨਿਆ ॥੨॥

ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਹਿਮਤ ਉਦੇ ਹੋਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਗ੍ਰ ਹਿ ਅੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਬੰਦਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੰਞਾਣ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
As the inner vision is awakened, one comes to know one's own home, deep within the self. ||2||
ਜਤੁ ਸਤੁ ਤੀਰਥੁ; ਮਜਨੁ ਨਾਮਿ ॥

ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸੱਚਾ ਬ੍ਰਹਿਮਚਰਜ, ਪਾਕਦਾਮਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਤ੍ਰਾ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਹੈ।
The Naam, the Name of the Lord, is austerity, chastity and cleansing baths at sacred shrines of pilgrimage.
ਅਧਿਕ ਬਿਥਾਰੁ ਕਰਉ; ਕਿਸੁ ਕਾਮਿ ॥
adhik bithaar krau; kis kaam |
ਘਣਾ ਅਡੰਬਰ ਰਚਨਾ ਕਿਹੜੇ ਕੰਮ ਹੈ?
What good are ostentatious displays?
ਨਰ ਨਾਰਾਇਣ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮਿ ॥੩॥

ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਇਨਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਲਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਜਾਨਣਹਾਰ ਹੈ।
The All-pervading Lord is the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts. ||3||
ਆਨ ਮਨਉ; ਤਉ ਪਰ ਘਰ ਜਾਉ ॥
aan mnau; tau par ghar jaau |
ਜੇਕਰ ਮੈਂ ਹੋਰਸ ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਾਂ, ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਹੋਰਸ ਦੇ ਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ।
If I had faith in someone else, then I would go to that one's house.
ਕਿਸੁ ਜਾਚਉ; ਨਾਹੀ ਕੋ ਥਾਉ ॥
kis jaachau; naahee ko thaau |
ਮੈਂ ਹੋਰ ਕੀਹਦੇ ਕੋਲੋ ਮੰਗਾਂ? ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਥਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ।
But where should I go, to beg? There is no other place for me.
ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਉ ॥੪॥੮॥

ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮੈਂ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਅੰਦਰ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ।
O Nanak, through the Guru's Teachings, I am intuitively absorbed in the Lord. ||4||8||

Meeting the True Guru, we are shown the way to die.
ਮਰਣ ਰਹਣ; ਰਸੁ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਭਾਏ ॥
maran rehan; ras antar bhaae |
ਇਹੋ ਜੇਹੀ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਜੀਉਂਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੀ ਲਗਦੀ ਹੈ।
Remaining alive in this death brings joy deep within.
ਗਰਬੁ ਨਿਵਾਰਿ; ਗਗਨ ਪੁਰੁ ਪਾਏ ॥੧॥

ਆਪਣਾ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਮਿਟਾ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਦਸਮ ਦੁਆਰ ਨੂੰ ਅਪੜ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ।
Overcoming egotistical pride, the Tenth Gate is found. ||1||
ਮਰਣੁ ਲਿਖਾਇ ਆਏ; ਨਹੀ ਰਹਣਾ ॥
maran likhaae aae; nahee rahanaa |
ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਵੇਲਾ ਲਿਖਵਾ ਕੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਜਹਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਧੇਰਾ ਚਿਰ ਠਹਿਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੇ।
Death is pre-ordained - no one who comes can remain here.
ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਜਾਪਿ; ਰਹਣੁ ਹਰਿ ਸਰਣਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
har jap jaap; rehan har saranaa |1| rahaau |
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਰੱਬ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਣਾਗਤਿ ਤਾਬੇ ਵਸਣਾ ਉਚਿਤ ਹੈ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।
So chant and meditate on the Lord, and remain in the Sanctuary of the Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ; ਤ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਭਾਗੈ ॥
satigur milai; ta dubidhaa bhaagai |
ਜਦ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਤਦ ਦਵੈਤ-ਭਾਵ ਦੌੜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Meeting the True Guru, duality is dispelled.
ਕਮਲੁ ਬਿਗਾਸਿ; ਮਨੁ. ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਲਾਗੈ ॥
kamal bigaas; man. har prabh laagai |
ਦਿਲ-ਕੰਵਲ ਖਿੜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੂਆ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
The heart-lotus blossoms forth, and the mind is attached to the Lord God.
ਜੀਵਤੁ ਮਰੈ; ਮਹਾ ਰਸੁ ਆਗੈ ॥੨॥
jeevat marai; mahaa ras aagai |2|
ਜੋ ਜੀਉਂਦੇ ਜੀ ਮਰਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਪਰਮ ਅਨੰਦ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
One who remains dead while yet alive obtains the greatest happiness hereafter. ||2||
ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਮਿਲਿਐ; ਸਚ ਸੰਜਮਿ ਸੂਚਾ ॥
satigur miliai; sach sanjam soochaa |
ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ, ਇਨਸਾਨ ਸਤਿਵਾਦੀ ਤਿਆਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Meeting the True Guru, one becomes truthful, chaste and pure.
ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਪਉੜੀ; ਊਚੋ ਊਚਾ ॥
gur kee paurree; aoocho aoochaa |
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੇ ਟੁਰਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਆਦਮੀ ਬੁੰਲਦਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਮ-ਬੁਲੰਦ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Climbing up the steps of the Guru's Path, one becomes the highest of the high.
ਕਰਮਿ ਮਿਲੈ; ਜਮ ਕਾ ਭਉ ਮੂਚਾ ॥੩॥
karam milai; jam kaa bhau moochaa |3|
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਰਹਿਮਤ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਡਰ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
When the Lord grants His Mercy, the fear of death is conquered. ||3||
ਗੁਰਿ ਮਿਲਿਐ; ਮਿਲਿ ਅੰਕਿ ਸਮਾਇਆ ॥
gur miliai; mil ank samaaeaa |
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਅੰਦਰ ਮਿਲਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਗੋਦੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Uniting in Guru's Union, we are absorbed in His Loving Embrace.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ; ਘਰੁ ਮਹਲੁ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ ॥
kar kirapaa; ghar mehal dikhaaeaa |
ਆਪਣੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਧਾਰ ਕੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਮੰਦਰ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਵਿਖਾਲ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
Granting His Grace, He reveals the Mansion of His Presence, within the home of the self.
ਨਾਨਕ; ਹਉਮੈ ਮਾਰਿ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੯॥
naanak; haumai maar milaaeaa |4|9|
ਨਾਨਕ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਟ ਕੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਲਕ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
O Nanak, conquering egotism, we are absorbed into the Lord. ||4||9||
