ਸਿਰੀ ਰਾਗ, ਤੀਜੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ।

ਕੰਨ ਕਰ, ਕੰਨ ਕਰ, ਨੀ ਤੂੰ ਸ਼ਹਿਵਤ ਦੀ ਫੜੀ ਹੋਈ, ਤ੍ਰੀਮਤੇ! ਤੂੰ ਬਾਂਹ ਉਲਾਰ ਕੇ ਕਿਉਂ ਤੁਰਦੀ ਹੈਂ?

Listen, listen, O soul-bride: you are overtaken by sexual desire-why do you walk like that, swinging your arms in joy?

ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਿੰਞਾਣਦੀ। ਉਥੇ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹੜਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਦਿਖਾਵੇਗੀ?

You do not recognize your own Husband Lord! When you go to Him, what face will you show Him?

ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਸਹੇਲੀਆਂ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਤੇ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੈਰ ਪਰਸਦੀ ਹਾਂ।

I touch the feet of my sister soul-brides who have known their Husband Lord.

ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਅੰਦਰ ਜੁੜਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਰਗੀ ਹੀ ਬਣੀ ਰਹਾਂ।

If only I could be like them! Joining the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, I am united in His Union. ||1||

ਹੇ ਤ੍ਰੀਮਤੇ! ਝੂਠੀ ਨੂੰ ਝੂਠ ਨੇ ਠੱਗ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।

O woman, the false ones are being cheated by falsehood.

ਸੱਚਾ ਤੇ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਈਸ਼ਵਰੀ ਸੋਚ ਵੀਚਾਰ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।

God is your Husband; He is Handsome and True. He is obtained by reflecting upon the Guru. ||1||Pause||

ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕੂਲ ਪਤਨੀਆਂ ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੀਆਂ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਜੀਵਨ-ਰਾਤ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਤੀਤ ਕਰਨਗੀਆਂ?

The self-willed manmukhs do not recognize their Husband Lord; how will they spend their life-night?

ਹੰਗਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਉਹ ਖਾਹਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੜਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਦਵੈਤ-ਭਾਵ ਅੰਦਰ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਝੱਲਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

Filled with arrogance, they burn with desire; they suffer in the pain of the love of duality.

ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਅੰਦਰ ਰੰਗੀਆ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਪਤਨੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।

The happy soul-brides are attuned to the Shabad; their egotism is eliminated from within.

ਉਹ ਸਦੀਵ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਣਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਜੀਵਨ-ਰਾਤ੍ਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਮ-ਅਨੰਦ ਅੰਦਰ ਬੀਤਦੀ ਹੈ।

They enjoy their Husband Lord forever, and their life-night passes in the most blissful peace. ||2||

ਜੋ ਬ੍ਰਹਿਮ ਵੀਚਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਸੱਖਣੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੰਤ ਨੇ ਤਿਆਗ ਦਿਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਪਾਤ੍ਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀਆਂ।

She is utterly lacking in spiritual wisdom; she is abandoned by her Husband Lord. She cannot obtain His Love.

ਗਿਆਨ-ਹੀਣ ਅਕਲ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਨ੍ਹੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ, ਪਤੀ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਵੇਖਣ ਦੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਖੁੱਦਿਆ ਨਵਿਰਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ।

In the darkness of intellectual ignorance, she cannot see her Husband, and her hunger does not depart.

ਮੇਰੀ ਸਖੀਓ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆ ਕੇ ਮਿਲੋ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਦਿਓ।

Come and meet with me, my sister soul-brides, and unite me with my Husband.

ਜੋ ਪੂਰਨ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸੱਚੇ ਗਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਟ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਪੁਰਖ ਅੰਦਰ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

She who meets the True Guru, by perfect good fortune, finds her Husband; she is absorbed in the True One. ||3||

ਉਹ ਸਹੇਲੀਆਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਿਗ੍ਹਾ ਧਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਖੁਸ਼ਬਾਸ ਪਤਨੀਆਂ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

Those upon whom He casts His Glance of Grace become His happy soul-brides.

ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਛਾਣਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਤੇ ਆਤਮਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮੂਹਰੇ ਰੱਖ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।

One who recognizes her Lord and Master places her body and mind in offering before Him.

ਆਪਣੀ ਸਵੈ-ਹੰਗਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਕੇ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਿੱਜ ਦੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

Within her own home, she finds her Husband Lord; her egotism is dispelled.

ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਰੈਣ ਦਿਹੁੰ ਈਸ਼ਵਰੀ-ਪਰੇਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਤੇ ਸੁਭਾਇਮਾਨ ਲਾੜੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

O Nanak, the happy soul-brides are embellished and exalted; night and day they are absorbed in devotional worship. ||4||28||61||
