ਗਊੜੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਪੰਜਵੀਂ।

Gauree, Fifth Mehl:

ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੈਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉਤੇ ਹਨ।

I place the Guru's Feet on my forehead,

ਇਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆ ਤਕਲੀਫ਼ਾਂ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ।

and all my pains are gone. ||1||

ਆਪਣੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਉਤੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ।

I am a sacrifice to my True Guru.

(ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ) ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਪਰਸੰਨਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਭੋਗਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।

I have come to understand my soul, and I enjoy supreme bliss. ||1||Pause||

ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਕ ਮੇਰੇ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਲਗ ਗਈ ਹੈ,

I have applied the dust of the Guru's Feet to my face,

ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਹੰਕਾਰੀ ਮਤ ਸਮੂਹ ਨਵਿਰਤ ਕਰ ਦਿਤੀ ਹੈ।

which has removed all my arrogant intellect. ||2||

ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਮਿੱਠੀ ਲਗ ਗਈ ਹੈ!

The Word of the Guru's Shabad has become sweet to my mind,

ਸ਼ਰੋਮਣੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ, ਇਸ ਕਰਕੇ, ਮੈਂ ਵੇਖ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।

and I behold the Supreme Lord God. ||3||

ਗੁਰੂ ਆਰਾਮ ਦੇਨਹਾਰ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਹੀ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ ਹੈ।

The Guru is the Giver of peace; the Guru is the Creator.

ਨਾਨਕ ਦੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਿੰਦ-ਜਾਨ ਦਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਹੀ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ।

O Nanak, the Guru is the Support of the breath of life and the soul. ||4||38||107||
