ਤੀਜੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ।

Third Mehl:

ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਛਲ ਫ਼ਰੇਬ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚਾ ਭਗਤ ਅਖਵਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

He is full of deceit, and yet he calls himself a devotee of Bhagaautee.

ਦੰਭ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਕਦਾਚਿੱਤ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਣਾ।

Through hypocrisy, he shall never attain the Supreme Lord God.

ਉਹ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਇਲਜਾਮ ਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਗੰਦ ਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

He slanders others, and pollutes himself with his own filth.

ਉਹ ਬਾਹਰਵਾਰ ਦੀ ਗੰਦਗੀ ਧੋ ਸੁਟਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਅਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦੀ।

Outwardly, he washes off the filth, but the impurity of his mind does not go away.

ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਵਿਵਾਦ ਖੜਾ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

He argues with the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation.

ਦਵੈਤ-ਭਾਵ ਅੰਦਰ ਖਚਤ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ, ਰੈਣ ਦਿੰਹੁ ਉਹ ਦੁਖਾਂਤ੍ਰ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

Night and day, he suffers, engrossed in the love of duality.

ਉਹ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਘਣੇਰੇ ਕਰਮ ਕਾਂਡ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

He does not remember the Name of the Lord, but still, he performs all sorts of empty rituals.

ਜੋ ਕੁਛ ਐਨ ਆਰੰਭ ਤੋਂ ਉਕਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮੇਸਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ।

That which is pre-ordained cannot be erased.

ਨਾਨਕ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਟਹਿਲ ਕਮਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ।

O Nanak, without serving the True Guru, liberation is not obtained. ||3||
