ਸਿਰੀ ਰਾਗ ਤੀਜੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ।

Siree Raag, Third Mehl:

ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਟਹਿਲ ਕਮਾਉਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਚਿੱਤ ਬੇ-ਦਾਗ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਦੇਹਿ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

Serving the True Guru, the mind becomes immaculate, and the body becomes pure.

ਡੂੰਘੇ ਅਤੇ ਅਥਾਹ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ, ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਤੇ ਸਦੀਵੀ ਆਰਾਮ, ਦਿਲ ਅੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

The mind obtains bliss and eternal peace, meeting with the Deep and Profound Lord.

ਸੱਚੇ ਸਤਿਸੰਗ ਅੰਦਰ ਬੈਠਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਤਿਲਾਮ ਦਾ ਮਾਨਸਕ ਧੀਰਜ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Sitting in the Sangat, the True Congregation, the mind is comforted and consoled by the True Name. ||1||

ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੜੀਏ! ਤੂੰ ਨਿਧੜਕ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਘਾਲ ਕਮਾ।

O mind, serve the True Guru without hesitation.

ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾ ਦੀ ਟਹਿਲ ਕਮਾਉਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਰੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਟਿਕ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਭੋਰਾ ਭਰ ਭੀ ਗਿਲਾਜ਼ਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਮੜੇਗੀ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।

Serving the True Guru, the Lord abides within the mind, and no trace of filth shall attach itself to you. ||1||Pause||

ਸੱਚੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਇਜ਼ਤ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਸੱਚੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸੱਚਾ ਹੈ।

From the True Word of the Shabad comes honor. True is the Name of the True One.

ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾ ਉਤੋਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਆਪਣੀ ਹੰਗਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਨਵਿਰਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੰਞਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ।

I am a sacrifice to those who conquer their ego and recognize the Lord.

ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕੂਲ ਸੱਚੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਪਨਾਹ ਜਾਂ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਕਿਧਰੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਭਦੀ।

The self-willed manmukhs do not know the True One; they find no shelter, and no place of rest anywhere. ||2||

ਸੱਚ ਹੈ ਭੋਜਨ ਤੇ ਸੱਚ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਪੁਸ਼ਾਕ ਜਗਿਆਸੂਆਂ ਦੀ, ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਪੁਰਖਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਸੇਬਾ।

Those who take the Truth as their food and the Truth as their clothing, have their home in the True One.

ਉਹ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਸੱਚੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਸਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਨਾਮ ਅੰਦਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਹੈ।

They constantly praise the True One, and in the True Word of the Shabad they have their dwelling.

ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਉਹ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਰੂਹ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੰਞਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਿਜ ਦੇ ਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਅੰਦਰ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।

They recognize the Lord, the Supreme Soul in all, and through the Guru's Teachings they dwell in the home of their own inner self. ||3||

ਸੱਚ ਉਹ ਦੇਖਦੇ ਹਨ, ਸੱਚ ਦੀ ਉਹ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਰਾ ਦੀ ਦੇਹਿ ਤੇ ਆਤਮਾ ਅੰਦਰ ਉਹ ਸੱਚਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੀ ਹੈ।

They see the Truth, and they speak the Truth; their bodies and minds are True.

ਸੱਚੀ ਹੈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਾਰਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਚੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਖ-ਮਤ। ਐਸੇ ਸਚਿਆਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਹਰਤ ਸੱਚੀ ਹੈ।

True are their teachings, and True are their instructions; True are the reputations of the true ones.

ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਤਿਪੁਰਖ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਲਾ ਦਿਤਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਦੁਖਾਂਤ੍ਰ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਰਲਾਪ ਕਰਦੇ ਟੁਰ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

Those who have forgotten the True One are miserable-they depart weeping and wailing. ||4||

ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਘਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਘਾਲੀ ਉਹ ਕਾਹਦੇ ਲਈਂ ਇਸ ਜਹਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਏ ਹਨ?

Those who have not served the True Guru-why did they even bother to come into the world?

ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਬੂਹੇ ਉਤੇ ਉਹ ਨਰੜ ਕੇ ਪਟਕੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਚੀਕਾਂ ਤੇ ਵਿਰਲਾਪ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣਦਾ।

They are bound and gagged and beaten at Death's door, but no one hears their shrieks and cries.

ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਬੇਫਾਇਦਾ ਗੁਆ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਮਰਦੇ ਤੇ ਜੰਮਦੇ ਹਨ।

They waste their lives uselessly; they die and are reincarnated over and over again. ||5||

ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਸੜਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਤੱਕ ਕੇ, ਮੈਂ ਦੌੜ ਕੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਨਾਹ ਲੈ ਲਈ।

Seeing this world on fire, I rushed to the Sanctuary of the True Guru.

ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਨਿਆਇ, ਸੱਚਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਸਵੈ-ਕਾਬੂ ਅੰਦਰ ਵੱਸਣਾ ਨਿਸਚਿਤ ਕਰਵਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।

The True Guru has implanted the Truth within me; I dwell steadfastly in Truth and self-restraint.

ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਦਰੁਸਤ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਭੈਦਾਇਕ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

The True Guru is the Boat of Truth; in the Word of the Shabad, we cross over the terrifying world-ocean. ||6||

ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਚੁਰਾਸੀ ਲੱਖ ਜੂਨੀਆਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਭਟਕਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਝੋਂ ਉਹ ਮੋਖਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ।

People continue wandering through the cycle of 8.4 million incarnations; without the True Guru, liberation is not obtained.

ਘਣਾ ਪੜ੍ਹਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ, ਪੰਡਤ ਤੇ ਚੁੱਪ ਰਹਿਣੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਹਾਰ-ਹੁਟ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਦਵੈਤ-ਭਾਵ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਣ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਗੁਆ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

Reading and studying, the Pandits and the silent sages have grown weary, but attached to the love of duality, they have lost their honor.

ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, "ਸੱਚੇ ਸਾਈਂ ਦੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ।"

The True Guru teaches the Word of the Shabad; without the True One, there is no other at all. ||7||

ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਤਿਪੁਰਖ ਜੋੜਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸੱਚ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਦੀਵ ਹੀ ਦਰੁਸਤ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।

Those who are linked by the True One are linked to Truth. They always act in Truth.

ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਿੱਜ ਦੇ ਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਅੰਦਰ ਵਸੇਬਾ ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਵਸਦੇ ਹਨ।

They attain their dwelling in the home of their own inner being, and they abide in the Mansion of Truth.

ਨਾਨਕ ਸੰਤ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਹੀ ਖੁਸ਼ ਵਿਚਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਸਤਿਨਾਮ ਅੰਦਰ ਸਮਾ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

O Nanak, the devotees are happy and peaceful forever. They are absorbed in the True Name. ||8||17||8||25||
