eihu mohu maaeaa. terai sang, na chaalai; jhootthee preet lagaaee |
ਮੋਹਨੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਲਗਨ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣੀ। ਕੂੜ ਹੈ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਨੇਹੁੰ ਗੰਢਣਾ।
This emotional attachment to Maya shall not go with you; it is false to fall in love with it.
ਸਗਲੀ ਰੈਣਿ. ਗੁਦਰੀ ਅੰਧਿਆਰੀ; ਸੇਵਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ. ਚਾਨਣੁ ਹੋਇ ॥

ਸਮੂਹ ਰਾਤ੍ਰੀ ਅਨ੍ਹੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਗੁਜ਼ਰ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਟਹਿਲ ਕਮਾਉਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਰੱਬੀ ਨੂਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਊਦੇ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
The entire night of your life has passed away in darkness; but by serving the True Guru, the Divine Light shall dawn within.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ. ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਚਉਥੈ ਪਹਰੈ; ਦਿਨੁ ਨੇੜੈ ਆਇਆ ਸੋਇ ॥੪॥

ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ, ਕਿ ਰਾਤ ਦੇ ਚੌਥੇ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਰੀ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਉਹ ਦਿਹਾੜਾ ਨਜ਼ਦੀਕ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
Says Nanak, O mortal, in the fourth watch of the night, that day is drawing near! ||4||
ਲਿਖਿਆ ਆਇਆ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਕਾ. ਵਣਜਾਰਿਆ ਮਿਤ੍ਰਾ; ਉਠਿ ਚਲੇ ਕਮਾਣਾ ਸਾਥਿ ॥

ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦਾ ਪਰਵਾਨਾ ਆਉਣਾ ਤੇ, ਹੈ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਦਾਗਰ ਸਜਣਾ! ਇਨਸਾਨ ਖੜਾ ਹੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਅਮਲਾ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਤ ਟੁਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Receiving the summons from the Lord of the Universe, O my merchant friend, you must arise and depart with the actions you have committed.
ਇਕ ਰਤੀ. ਬਿਲਮ ਨ ਦੇਵਨੀ, ਵਣਜਾਰਿਆ ਮਿਤ੍ਰਾ; ਓਨੀ ਤਕੜੇ ਪਾਏ ਹਾਥ ॥
eik ratee. bilam na devanee, vanajaariaa mitraa; onee takarre paae haath |
ਉਹ ਇਕ ਮੁਹਤ ਦੀ ਦੇਰੀ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨ ਦਿੰਦੇ, ਹੈ ਸੁਦਾਗਰ ਸਜਣਾ! ਉਹ ਫ਼ਾਨੀ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਕੜਦੇ ਹਨ।
You are not allowed a moment's delay, O my merchant friend; the Messenger of Death seizes you with firm hands.
ਲਿਖਿਆ ਆਇਆ. ਪਕੜਿ ਚਲਾਇਆ; ਮਨਮੁਖ ਸਦਾ ਦੁਹੇਲੇ ॥

ਲਿਖਤੀ ਹੁਕਮ ਪੁਜਣ ਤੇ ਜੀਵ ਫੜ ਕੇ ਅਗੇ ਤੋਰ ਦਿਤੇ ਹਨ। ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੁਖੀਏ ਹਨ, ਆਪ ਹੁਦਰੇ ਪੁਰਸ਼।
Receiving the summons, people are seized and dispatched. The self-willed manmukhs are miserable forever.
ਜਿਨੀ ਪੂਰਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿਆ; ਸੇ. ਦਰਗਹ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਹੇਲੇ ॥

ਸਾਈਂ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਉਹ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਸੁਖੀਏ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਪੂਰਨ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਟਹਿਲ ਕਮਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
But those who serve the Perfect True Guru are forever happy in the Court of the Lord.
ਕਰਮ ਧਰਤੀ ਸਰੀਰੁ, ਜੁਗ ਅੰਤਰਿ; ਜੋ ਬੋਵੈ. ਸੋ ਖਾਤਿ ॥
karam dharatee sareer, jug antar; jo bovai. so khaat |
ਇਸ ਯੂਗ ਅੰਦਰ ਦੇਹਿ ਅਮਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਖੇਤ ਹੈ। ਜੋ ਕੁਛ ਬੰਦਾ ਬੀਜਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਕੁਛ ਉਹ ਖਾਦਾ (ਵੱਢਦਾ) ਹੈ।
The body is the field of karma in this age; whatever you plant, you shall harvest.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ. ਭਗਤ ਸੋਹਹਿ ਦਰਵਾਰੇ; ਮਨਮੁਖ ਸਦਾ ਭਵਾਤਿ ॥੫॥੧॥੪॥

ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਫੁਰਮਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਗਿਆਸੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਅੰਦਰ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਲਗਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਦ ਕਿ ਆਪ ਹੁਦਰੇ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਆਵਾਗਉਣ ਅੰਦਰ ਭਟਕਦੇ ਹਨ।
Says Nanak, the devotees look beautiful in the Court of the Lord; the self-willed manmukhs wander forever in reincarnation. ||5||1||4||

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਮੁੰਧ ਇਆਣੀ ਪੇਈਅੜੈ; ਕਿਉ ਕਰਿ. ਹਰਿ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਪਿਖੈ ॥

ਭੋਲੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਵੇਖ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ?
How can the ignorant soul-bride obtain the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan, while she is in this world of her father's home?
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਅਪਨੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੇ; ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ. ਸਾਹੁਰੜੈ ਕੰਮ ਸਿਖੈ ॥
har har apanee kirapaa kare; guramukh. saahurarrai kam sikhai |
ਜਦ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮਾਲਕ ਆਪਣੀ ਰਹਿਮਤ ਧਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਗੁਰੂ-ਅਨੁਸਾਰੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਤ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਕਾਰ ਵਿਹਾਰ ਸਿਖ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
When the Lord Himself grants His Grace, the Gurmukh learns the duties of her Husband's Celestial Home.
ਸਾਹੁਰੜੈ. ਕੰਮ ਸਿਖੈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ; ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਏ ॥

ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਪਤਨੀ ਕੰਤ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਾਜ ਸਿਖਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਦੀਵ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਦੀ ਹੈ।
The Gurmukh learns the duties of her Husband's Celestial Home; she meditates forever on the Lord, Har, Har.
ਸਹੀਆ ਵਿਚਿ ਫਿਰੈ ਸੁਹੇਲੀ; ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਬਾਹ ਲੁਡਾਏ ॥
saheea vich firai suhelee; har daragah baah luddaae |
ਉਹ ਤਦ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸਖੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੁਸ਼ ਫਿਰੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਪਣੀ ਭੁਜਾ ਹੁਲਾਰੇਗੀ।
She walks happily among her companions, and in the Lord's Court, she swings her arms joyfully.
ਲੇਖਾ. ਧਰਮ ਰਾਇ ਕੀ ਬਾਕੀ; ਜਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ, ਕਿਰਖੈ ॥
lekhaa. dharam raae kee baakee; jap har har naam, kirakhai |
ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਉਚਾਰਣ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਹ ਧਰਮਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਹਿਸਾਬ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਦੀ ਬਾਕੀ ਉਤੇ ਲਕੀਰ ਫੇਰ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
Her account is cleared by the Righteous Judge of Dharma, when she chants the Name of the Lord, Har, Har.
ਮੁੰਧ ਇਆਣੀ ਪੇਈਅੜੈ; ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਦਿਖੈ ॥੧॥

ਭੋਲੀ ਭਾਲੀ ਵਹੁਟੀ, ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਵੇਖ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
The ignorant soul-bride becomes Gurmukh, and gains the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan, while she is still in her father's house. ||1||
ਵੀਆਹੁ ਹੋਆ ਮੇਰੇ ਬਾਬੁਲਾ; ਗੁਰਮੁਖੇ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
veeaahu hoaa mere baabulaa; guramukhe har paaeaa |
ਮੇਰਾ ਅਨੱਦ ਕਾਰਜ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਹੈ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ! ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮੈਂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
My marriage has been performed, O my father. As Gurmukh, I have found the Lord.
ਅਗਿਆਨੁ ਅੰਧੇਰਾ ਕਟਿਆ; ਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡੁ ਬਲਾਇਆ ॥

ਮੇਰਾ ਬੇਸਮਝੀ ਦਾ ਅਨ੍ਹੇਰਾ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਿਮ-ਬੋਧ ਦੀ ਖਰੀ ਤੇਜ ਰੋਸ਼ਨੀ ਬਾਲ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ।
The darkness of ignorance has been dispelled. The Guru has revealed the blazing light of spiritual wisdom.
ਬਲਿਆ ਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨੁ. ਅੰਧੇਰਾ ਬਿਨਸਿਆ; ਹਰਿ ਰਤਨੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਲਾਧਾ ॥
baliaa gur giaan. andheraa binasiaa; har ratan padaarath laadhaa |
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਿਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਬ੍ਰਹਿਮ-ਗਿਆਨ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਪਸਾਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਅਨ੍ਹੇਰਾ ਨਵਿਰਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਅਮੋਲਕ ਜਵੇਹਰ ਲਭ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ।
This spiritual wisdom given by the Guru shines forth, and the darkness has been dispelled. I have found the Priceless Jewel of the Lord.
ਹਉਮੈ ਰੋਗੁ ਗਇਆ. ਦੁਖੁ ਲਾਥਾ; ਆਪੁ ਆਪੈ. ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਖਾਧਾ ॥
haumai rog geaa. dukh laathaa; aap aapai. guramat khaadhaa |
ਮੇਰੀ ਹਊਮੇ ਦੀ ਬੀਮਾਰੀ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਦੁਖੜਾ ਕਟਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਅਧੀਨ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਵੈ-ਹੰਗਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਖੁਦ ਹੀ ਖਾ ਲਿਅ ਹੈ।
The sickness of my ego has been dispelled, and my pain is over and done. Through the Guru's Teachings, my identity has consumed my identical identity.
ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ. ਵਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ; ਨਾ ਕਦੇ ਮਰੈ. ਨ ਜਾਇਆ ॥
akaal moorat. var paaeaa abinaasee; naa kade marai. na jaaeaa |
ਮੈਂ ਅਮਰ ਸਰੂਪ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਵਜੋਂ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਨਾਸ-ਰਹਿਤ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮਰਦਾ ਤੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ।
I have obtained my Husband Lord, the Akaal Moorat, the Undying Form. He is Imperishable; He shall never die, and He shall never ever leave.
ਵੀਆਹੁ ਹੋਆ ਮੇਰੇ ਬਾਬੋਲਾ; ਗੁਰਮੁਖੇ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੨॥

ਸ਼ਾਦੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ! ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮੈਂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।

ਸੱਚਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਮ ਸੱਚਾ ਹੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ, ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ! ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਗੋਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਟਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਜੰਜ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਜਾਪਦੀ ਹੈ।
The Lord is the Truest of the True, O my father. Meeting with the humble servants of the Lord, the marriage procession looks beautiful.
ਪੇਵਕੜੈ. ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਸੁਹੇਲੀ; ਵਿਚਿ ਸਾਹੁਰੜੈ ਖਰੀ ਸੋਹੰਦੀ ॥
pevakarrai. har jap suhelee; vich saahurarrai kharee sohandee |
ਜੋ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਇਸ ਜੱਗ ਅੰਦਰ ਖੁਸ਼ ਰਹੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਲੋਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਹਾਇਤ ਹੀ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਭਾਸੇਗੀ।
She who chants the Lord's Name is happy in this world of her father's home, and in the next world of her Husband Lord, she shall be very beautiful.
ਸਾਹੁਰੜੈ ਵਿਚਿ ਖਰੀ ਸੋਹੰਦੀ; ਜਿਨਿ ਪੇਵਕੜੈ. ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮਾਲਿਆ ॥
saahurarrai vich kharee sohandee; jin pevakarrai. naam samaaliaa |
ਅਗਲੇ ਜਹਾਨ ਅੰਦਰ ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਅਰਾਧਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
In her Husband Lord's Celestial Home, she shall be most beautiful, if she has remembered the Naam in this world.
ਸਭੁ ਸਫਲਿਓ ਜਨਮੁ ਤਿਨਾ ਦਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ; ਜਿਨਾ ਮਨੁ ਜਿਣਿ, ਪਾਸਾ ਢਾਲਿਆ ॥
sabh safalio janam tinaa daa guramukh; jinaa man jin, paasaa dtaaliaa |
ਲਾਭਦਾਇਕ ਹਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਜੀਵਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਨਰਦਾ ਸੁੱਟ ਕੇ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ ਹੈ।
Fruitful are the lives of those who, as Gurmukh, have conquered their minds-they have won the game of life.
ਹਰਿ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ. ਮਿਲਿ ਕਾਰਜੁ ਸੋਹਿਆ; ਵਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਅਨੰਦੀ ॥
har sant janaa. mil kaaraj sohiaa; var paaeaa purakh anandee |
ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਾਧ-ਸਰੂਪ ਪੁਰਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਟਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਕਾਜ ਸਫਲ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਖੁਸ਼ ਬਾਸ਼ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਖਾਵਦ ਵਜੋ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
Joining with the humble Saints of the Lord, my actions bring prosperity, and I have obtained the Lord of Bliss as my Husband.
ਹਰਿ ਸਤਿ ਸਤਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਬਾਬੋਲਾ; ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਮਿਲਿ. ਜੰਞ ਸੁੋਹੰਦੀ ॥੩॥

ਸੱਚਾ, ਸੱਚਾ ਹੈ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਹੈ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ! ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਗੋਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਰ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਜੰਜ ਸਸ਼ੋਭਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
The Lord is the Truest of the True, O my father. Joining with the humble servants of the Lord, the marriage party has been embellished. ||3||

har prabh mere baabulaa; har devahu daan mai daajo |
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਤੇ ਦਹੇਜ ਬਖਸ਼।
