ਲਖ ਚਉਰਾਸੀਹ ਤਰਸਦੇ; ਜਿਸੁ ਮੇਲੇ. ਸੋ ਮਿਲੈ ਹਰਿ ਆਇ ॥
lakh chauraaseeh tarasade; jis mele. so milai har aae |
ਚੁਰਾਸੀ ਲੱਖ ਜੂਨੀਆਂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਚਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ (ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ) ਮਿਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆ ਕੇ (ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਅਭੇਦ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
The 8.4 million species of beings all yearn for the Lord. Those whom He unites, come to be united with the Lord.
ਨਾਨਕ. ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ; ਸਦਾ. ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੪॥੬॥੩੯॥

ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਨੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸਦੀਵ ਹੀ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਅੰਦਰ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
O Nanak, the Gurmukh finds the Lord, and remains forever absorbed in the Lord's Name. ||4||6||39||

Siree Raag, Third Mehl:
ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਹੈ; ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਇ ॥

ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਦਾ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਇਆ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
The Name of the Lord is the Ocean of Peace; the Gurmukhs obtain it.
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਈਐ; ਸਹਜੇ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥

ਰੈਣ ਦਿਹੁੰ ਸਾਈਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਜਾਪ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ, ਜੀਵ ਸੁਖੈਨ ਹੀ ਨਾਮ ਅੰਦਰ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Meditating on the Naam, night and day, they are easily and intuitively absorbed in the Naam.
ਅੰਦਰੁ ਰਚੈ ਹਰਿ ਸਚ ਸਿਉ; ਰਸਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇ ॥੧॥

ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਸੱਚੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਲ ਅਭੇਦ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ (ਉਸਦੀ) ਜੀਭ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਜੱਸ ਗਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
Their inner beings are immersed in the True Lord; they sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||1||
ਭਾਈ ਰੇ; ਜਗੁ ਦੁਖੀਆ. ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ॥
bhaaee re; jag dukheea. doojai bhaae |
ਹੈ ਭਰਾ! ਦਵੈਤ-ਭਾਵ ਅੰਦਰ ਖ਼ਚਤ ਕਾਰਨ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਮੁਸੀਬਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ।
O Siblings of Destiny, the world is in misery, engrossed in the love of duality.
ਗੁਰ ਸਰਣਾਈ ਸੁਖੁ ਲਹਹਿ; ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਣਾਗਤ ਸੰਭਾਲਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਤੇ ਰੈਣ ਦਿਹੁੰ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਅਰਾਧਨ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਰਾਮ ਪਾ ਲਉ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।
In the Sanctuary of the Guru, peace is found, meditating on the Naam night and day. ||1||Pause||
ਸਾਚੇ. ਮੈਲੁ ਨ ਲਾਗਈ; ਮਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇ ॥

ਸੱਚੇ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਗੰਦਗੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਿਮੜਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਚਿੱਤ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
The truthful ones are not stained by filth. Meditating on the Lord, their minds remain pure.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਬਦੁ ਪਛਾਣੀਐ; ਹਰਿ ਅੰਮਿ੍ਰਤ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥

ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੂੰ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਕਰ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੁਧਾ-ਸਰੂਪ ਨਾਮ ਅੰਦਰ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾ।
The Gurmukhs realize the Word of the Shabad; they are immersed in the Ambrosial Nectar of the Lord's Name.
ਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡੁ ਬਲਾਇਆ; ਅਗਿਆਨੁ ਅੰਧੇਰਾ ਜਾਇ ॥੨॥

ਗੁਰਾ ਨੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਤ ਦੀ ਚਮਕੀਲੀ ਰੋਸ਼ਨੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਬੇ-ਸਮਝੀ ਦਾ ਹਨ੍ਹੇਰਾ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
The Guru has lit the brilliant light of spiritual wisdom, and the darkness of ignorance has been dispelled. ||2||
ਮਨਮੁਖ ਮੈਲੇ. ਮਲੁ ਭਰੇ; ਹਉਮੈ ਤਿ੍ਰਸਨਾ ਵਿਕਾਰੁ ॥

ਖੁਦ-ਪਸੰਦ ਅਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਤੇ ਖ਼ਾਹਿਸ਼ ਦੇ ਪਾਪ ਦੀ ਪਲੀਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਲਬਾਲਬ ਹਨ।
The self-willed manmukhs are polluted. They are filled with the pollution of egotism, wickedness and desire.
ਬਿਨੁ ਸਬਦੈ. ਮੈਲੁ ਨ ਉਤਰੈ; ਮਰਿ ਜੰਮਹਿ ਹੋਇ ਖੁਆਰੁ ॥

ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਬਾਝੋਂ ਪਲੀਤੀ ਧੋਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਜੰਮਣ ਮਰਣ ਅੰਦਰ ਅਵਾਜਾਰ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Without the Shabad, this pollution is not washed off; through the cycle of death and rebirth, they waste away in misery.
ਧਾਤੁਰ ਬਾਜੀ. ਪਲਚਿ ਰਹੇ; ਨਾ ਉਰਵਾਰੁ. ਨ ਪਾਰੁ ॥੩॥

ਜੋ ਛਿਨ-ਭੰਗਰ ਖੇਡ ਅੰਦਰ ਖਚਤ ਹੋਏ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਨਾਂ ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਤੇ ਨਾਂ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਲੋਕ ਅੰਦਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਕੰਮ ਦੇ ਹਨ।
Engrossed in this transitory drama, they are not at home in either this world or the next. ||3||
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਪ ਤਪ ਸੰਜਮੀ; ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਨਾਮਿ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥

ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਹੀ ਗੁਰੂ-ਪਿਆਰ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ, ਤਪੱਸਿਆ ਤੇ ਸਵੈ-ਰਿਆਜ਼ਤ ਹੈ।
For the Gurmukh, the love of the Name of the Lord is chanting, deep meditation and self-discipline.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਈਐ; ਏਕੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਕਰਤਾਰੁ ॥

ਗੁਰੂ-ਪਿਆਰਾ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਇਕ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਆਰਾਧਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
The Gurmukh meditates forever on the Name of the One Creator Lord.
ਨਾਨਕ. ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਈਐ; ਸਭਨਾ ਜੀਆ ਕਾ ਆਧਾਰੁ ॥੪॥੭॥੪੦॥

O Nanak, meditate on the Naam, the Name of the Lord, the Support of all beings. ||4||7||40||

ਮਨਮੁਖੁ ਮੋਹਿ ਵਿਆਪਿਆ; ਬੈਰਾਗੁ ਉਦਾਸੀ. ਨ ਹੋਇ ॥
manamukh mohi viaapiaa; bairaag udaasee. na hoe |
ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕੂਲ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਸੰਸਾਰੀ ਮਮਤਾ ਅੰਦਰ ਖਚਤ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਉਪਰਾਮਤਾ ਧਾਰਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ।
The self-willed manmukhs are engrossed in emotional attachment; they are not balanced or detached.
ਸਬਦੁ ਨ ਚੀਨੈ. ਸਦਾ ਦੁਖੁ; ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹਿ. ਪਤਿ ਖੋਇ ॥
sabad na cheenai. sadaa dukh; har darageh. pat khoe |
ਉਹ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦਾ, ਸਦੀਵ ਹੀ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਉਠਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਗੁਆ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
They do not comprehend the Word of the Shabad. They suffer in pain forever, and lose their honor in the Court of the Lord.
ਹਉਮੈ. ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਖੋਈਐ; ਨਾਮਿ ਰਤੇ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਇ ॥੧॥

ਜਗਿਆਸੂ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਆਰਾਮ ਪਾਊਦੇ ਹਨ।
The Gurmukhs shed their ego; attuned to the Naam, they find peace. ||1||
ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ; ਅਹਿਨਿਸਿ ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹੀ ਨਿਤ ਆਸਾ ॥
mere man; ahinis poor rahee nit aasaa |
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੜੀਏ! ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਤੂੰ ਸਦੀਵ ਹੀ ਖ਼ਾਹਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਰੀ-ਪੂਰਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
O my mind, day and night, you are always full of wishful hopes.
ਸਤਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ, ਮੋਹੁ ਪਰਜਲੈ; ਘਰ ਹੀ ਮਾਹਿ ਉਦਾਸਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
satagur sev, mohu parajalai; ghar hee maeh udaasaa |1| rahaau |
ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਟਹਿਲ ਕਮਾਉਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸੰਸਾਰੀ ਮਮਤਾ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੜ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਬੰਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।
Serve the True Guru, and your emotional attachment shall be totally burnt away; remain detached within the home of your heart. ||1||Pause||
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਵੈ ਬਿਗਸੈ; ਹਰਿ ਬੈਰਾਗੁ ਅਨੰਦੁ ॥
guramukh karam kamaavai bigasai; har bairaag anand |
ਗੁਰੂ-ਸਮਰਪਣ ਭਲੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਤੇ ਖਿੜਦਾ ਹੈ। ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਪਿਰਹੜੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ।
The Gurmukhs do good deeds and blossom forth; balanced and detached in the Lord, they are in ecstasy.
ਅਹਿਨਿਸਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰੇ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ; ਹਉਮੈ ਮਾਰਿ ਨਿਚੰਦੁ ॥
ahinis bhagat kare din raatee; haumai maar nichand |
ਦਿਹੁੰ ਰੈਣ ਉਹ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਵੈ-ਹੰਗਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਬੇ-ਫਿਕਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Night and day, they perform devotional worship, day and night; subduing their ego, they are carefree.
ਵਡੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਪਾਈ; ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਹਜਿ ਅਨੰਦੁ ॥੨॥
vaddai bhaag satasangat paaee; har paaeaa sehaj anand |2|
ਭਾਰੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮੈਂ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਇਆ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਦੀਵੀ ਪਰਸੰਨਤਾ ਦੇ ਟਿਕਾਣੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
By great good fortune, I found the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation; I have found the Lord, with intuitive ease and ecstasy. ||2||
ਸੋ ਸਾਧੂ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ਸੋਈ; ਹਿਰਦੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸਾਏ ॥
so saadhoo bairaagee soee; hiradai naam vasaae |
ਉਹ ਸੰਤ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹੀ ਜਗਤ-ਤਿਆਗੀ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਹਰੀ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲ ਅੰਦਰ ਟਿਕਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
That person is a Holy Saadhu, and a renouncer of the world, whose heart is filled with the Naam.
ਅੰਤਰਿ ਲਾਗਿ ਨ ਤਾਮਸੁ ਮੂਲੇ; ਵਿਚਹੁ ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਏ ॥
antar laag na taamas moole; vichahu aap gavaae |
ਗੁੱਸਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਅਸਲੋ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੋਹਦਾ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਸਵੈ-ਹੰਗਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿਤਾ ਹੈ।
His inner being is not touched by anger or dark energies at all; he has lost his selfishness and conceit.
ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਸਤਗੁਰੂ ਦਿਖਾਲਿਆ; ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਪੀਆ ਅਘਾਏ ॥੩॥
naam nidhaan sataguroo dikhaaliaa; har ras peea aghaae |3|
ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਖਾਲ ਦਿਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਈਸ਼ਵਰੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਰੱਜ ਕੇ ਪਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
The True Guru has revealed to him the Treasure of the Naam, the Name of the Lord; he drinks in the Sublime Essence of the Lord, and is satisfied. ||3||
ਜਿਨਿ ਕਿਨੈ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤੀ; ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਬੈਰਾਗਿ ॥
jin kinai paaeaa saadhasangatee; poorai bhaag bairaag |
ਜਿਸ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੈ, ਸਚਿਆਰਾ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੈ। ਪੂਰਨ ਚੰਗੇ ਨਸੀਬਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
Whoever has found it, has done so in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. Through perfect good fortune, such balanced detachment is attained.
ਮਨਮੁਖ ਫਿਰਹਿ. ਨ ਜਾਣਹਿ ਸਤਗੁਰੁ; ਹਉਮੈ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਲਾਗਿ ॥

ਅੰਤਰੀਵ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਪ-ਹੁਦਰੇ ਭਟਕਦੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦੇ!
The self-willed manmukhs wander around lost, but they do not know the True Guru. They are inwardly attached to egotism.
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਬਦਿ ਰਤੇ. ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਰੰਗਾਏ; ਬਿਨੁ ਭੈ. ਕੇਹੀ ਲਾਗਿ ॥੪॥੮॥੪੧॥

ਨਾਨਕ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਅੰਦਰ ਰੰਗੀਜ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪ੍ਰੰਭੂ ਦੇ ਡਰ ਦੀ ਪਾਹ ਦੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਰੰਗ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ?
O Nanak, those who are attuned to the Shabad are dyed in the Color of the Lord's Name. Without the Fear of God, how can they retain this Color? ||4||8||41||

ਸਿਰੀ ਰਾਗੁ, ਤੀਜੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ।
Siree Raag, Third Mehl:
ਘਰ ਹੀ ਸਉਦਾ ਪਾਈਐ; ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਭ ਵਥੁ ਹੋਇ ॥
ghar hee saudaa paaeeai; antar sabh vath hoe |
ਬੰਦੇ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਵਸਤੂਆਂ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਲੋੜੀਦਾ ਸੌਦਾ-ਸੂਤ ਲੈ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
Within the home of your own inner being, the merchandise is obtained. All commodities are within.
ਖਿਨੁ ਖਿਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮਾਲੀਐ; ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਵੈ ਕੋਇ ॥
khin khin naam samaaleeai; guramukh paavai koe |
ਹਰ ਮੁਹਤ ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰ। ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਹੀ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Each and every moment, dwell on the Naam, the Name of the Lord; the Gurmukhs obtain it.
ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਅਖੁਟੁ ਹੈ; ਵਡਭਾਗਿ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੋਇ ॥੧॥
naam nidhaan akhutt hai; vaddabhaag paraapat hoe |1|
ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਅਮੁੱਕ ਹੈ, ਪਰਮ ਚੰਗੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਇਹ ਹਾਸਲ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
The Treasure of the Naam is inexhaustible. By great good fortune, it is obtained. ||1||
ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ; ਤਜਿ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਹਉਮੈ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੁ ॥
mere man; taj nindaa haumai ahankaar |
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੜੀਏ! ਅਪਜਸ, ਸਵੈ-ਹੰਗਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਹੈਕੜ ਛੱਡ ਦੇ।
O my mind, give up slander, egotism and arrogance.
