ਵਹਿਮ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦੇ, ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰਵਾਰ ਦੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਲਵੇਗਾ।
Know the state of your inner being; meet with the Guru and get rid of your skepticism.
ਮੁਇਆ. ਜਿਤੁ ਘਰਿ ਜਾਈਐ; ਤਿਤੁ ਜੀਵਦਿਆ ਮਰੁ ਮਾਰਿ ॥

ਜਿਸ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਤੂੰ ਮਰ ਕੇ ਪੁਜਣਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਤੂੰ ਜੀਉਂਦੇ ਜੀ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਮੰਦ-ਵਾਸਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਲੀਆਮੇਟ ਕਰ।
To reach your True Home after you die, you must conquer death while you are still alive.
ਅਨਹਦ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੁਹਾਵਣੇ; ਪਾਈਐ ਗੁਰ ਵੀਚਾਰਿ ॥੨॥

ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਪਰਬੀਨ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮਨਮੋਹਨ ਬੈਕੁੰਠੀ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
The beautiful, Unstruck Sound of the Shabad is obtained, contemplating the Guru. ||2||
ਅਨਹਦ ਬਾਣੀ ਪਾਈਐ; ਤਹ ਹਉਮੈ ਹੋਇ ਬਿਨਾਸੁ ॥

ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਹ ਬਿਨਾ ਅਲਾਪਿਆਂ ਰਾਗ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਨਵਿਰਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
The Unstruck Melody of Gurbani is obtained, and egotism is eliminated.
ਸਤਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵੇ ਆਪਣਾ; ਹਉ ਸਦ ਕੁਰਬਾਣੈ ਤਾਸੁ ॥
satagur seve aapanaa; hau sad kurabaanai taas |
ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਉਤੋਂ ਸਦੀਵ ਹੀ ਬਲਿਹਾਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਟਹਿਲ ਕਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
I am forever a sacrifice to those who serve their True Guru.
ਖੜਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਪੈਨਾਈਐ; ਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਨਿਵਾਸੁ ॥੩॥

ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਅੰਦਰ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਲਿਜਾ ਕੇ (ਇਜ਼ਤ ਦਾ ਪੁਸ਼ਾਕਾ) ਪਹਿਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
They are dressed in robes of honor in the Court of the Lord; the Name of the Lord is on their lips. ||3||
ਜਹ ਦੇਖਾ. ਤਹ ਰਵਿ ਰਹੇ; ਸਿਵ ਸਕਤੀ ਕਾ ਮੇਲੁ ॥
jeh dekhaa. teh rav rahe; siv sakatee kaa mel |
ਬ੍ਰਹਿਮੰਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੇਤੰਨਤਾ ਤੇ ਜੜ੍ਹਤਾ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਅੰਦਰ ਜਿਧਰ ਭੀ ਮੈਂ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਉਥੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
Wherever I look, I see the Lord pervading there, in the union of Shiva and Shakti, of consciousness and matter.
ਤਿ੍ਰਹੁ ਗੁਣ ਬੰਧੀ ਦੇਹੁਰੀ; ਜੋ ਆਇਆ ਜਗਿ. ਸੋ ਖੇਲੁ ॥
trihu gun bandhee dehuree; jo aaeaa jag. so khel |
ਸਰੀਰ ਤਿੰਨਾ ਸੁਭਾਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਇਸ਼ਾਰੇ ਅਧੀਨ) ਖੇਡਦਾ ਹੈ।
The three qualities hold the body in bondage; whoever comes into the world is subject to their play.
ਵਿਜੋਗੀ ਦੁਖਿ ਵਿਛੁੜੇ; ਮਨਮੁਖਿ. ਲਹਹਿ ਨ ਮੇਲੁ ॥੪॥
vijogee dukh vichhurre; manamukh. laheh na mel |4|
ਵਿਛੁੰਨੇ ਹੋਏ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨਾਲੋ ਵੱਖਰੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਤਕਲੀਫ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਪ-ਹੁਦਰਿਆਂ ਦਾ (ਉਸ ਨਾਲ) ਮਿਲਾਪ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ।
Those who separate themselves from the Lord wander lost in misery. The self-willed manmukhs do not attain union with Him. ||4||
ਮਨੁ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ਘਰਿ ਵਸੈ; ਸਚ ਭੈ ਰਾਤਾ ਹੋਇ ॥
man bairaagee ghar vasai; sach bhai raataa hoe |
ਇਛਾ-ਰਹਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ, ਜੇਕਰ ਮਨੂਆ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਅੰਦਰ ਰਹੇ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਡਰ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ,
If the mind becomes balanced and detached, and comes to dwell in its own true home, imbued with the Fear of God,
ਗਿਆਨ ਮਹਾਰਸੁ ਭੋਗਵੈ; ਬਾਹੁੜਿ. ਭੂਖ ਨ ਹੋਇ ॥
giaan mahaaras bhogavai; baahurr. bhookh na hoe |
ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਦੇ ਪਰਮ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਣੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੂੜ ਭੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ।
then it enjoys the essence of supreme spiritual wisdom; it shall never feel hunger again.
ਨਾਨਕ. ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਰਿ ਮਿਲੁ; ਭੀ ਫਿਰਿ. ਦੁਖੁ ਨ ਹੋਇ ॥੫॥੧੮॥
naanak. ihu man maar mil; bhee fir. dukh na hoe |5|18|
ਨਾਨਕ ਇਸ ਮਨੁਏ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਬੂ ਕਰ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ। ਇੰਜ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
O Nanak, conquer and subdue this mind; meet with the Lord, and you shall never again suffer in pain. ||5||18||

ਏਹੁ ਮਨੋ ਮੂਰਖੁ ਲੋਭੀਆ; ਲੋਭੇ ਲਗਾ ਲੁੋਭਾਨੁ ॥
ehu mano moorakh lobheea; lobhe lagaa luobhaan |
ਇਹ ਬੇਵਕੂਫ਼ ਤੇ ਲਾਲਚੀ ਜਿੰਦੜੀ ਲਾਲਚ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਬਹਿਕਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।
This foolish mind is greedy; through greed, it becomes even more attached to greed.
ਸਬਦਿ ਨ ਭੀਜੈ. ਸਾਕਤਾ; ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਆਵਨੁ ਜਾਨੁ ॥
sabad na bheejai. saakataa; duramat aavan jaan |
ਮਾਦਾ-ਪ੍ਰਸਤ ਅਤੇ ਮੰਦ-ਅਕਲ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਹ ਹਰੀ ਨਾਮ ਅੰਦਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਭਿਜਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਉਂਦੀਂ ਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
The evil-minded shaaktas, the faithless cynics, are not attuned to the Shabad; they come and go in reincarnation.
ਸਾਧੂ ਸਤਗੁਰੁ ਜੇ ਮਿਲੈ; ਤਾ ਪਾਈਐ ਗੁਣੀ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ॥੧॥
saadhoo satagur je milai; taa paaeeai gunee nidhaan |1|
ਜੇਕਰ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਤ-ਸਰੂਪ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਣ, ਤਦ, ਉਹ ਉੱਚੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ (ਹਰੀ) ਨੂੰ ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
One who meets with the Holy True Guru finds the Treasure of Excellence. ||1||
ਮਨ ਰੇ; ਹਉਮੈ ਛੋਡਿ ਗੁਮਾਨੁ ॥
man re; haumai chhodd gumaan |
ਹੈ (ਮੇਰੇ) ਮਨ! ਸਵੈ-ਪੂਜਾ ਤੇ ਸਵੈ-ਹੰਗਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਦੇ।
O mind, renounce your egotistical pride.
ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਸਰਵਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਤੂ; ਪਾਵਹਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਮਾਨੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
har gur saravar sev too; paaveh daragah maan |1| rahaau |
ਤੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰਤਾ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਰੱਬ-ਰੂਪ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਟਹਿਲ ਕਮਾ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਇਜ਼ਤ ਪਾਵੇ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।
Serve the Lord, the Guru, the Sacred Pool, and you shall be honored in the Court of the Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਿ ਦਿਨਸੁ ਰਾਤਿ; ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਜਾਨੁ ॥
raam naam jap dinas raat; guramukh har dhan jaan |
ਦਿਨ ਰੈਣ ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਇਆ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਹਰੀ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਦੌਲਤ ਮਨ।
Chant the Name of the Lord day and night; become Gurmukh, and know the Wealth of the Lord.
ਸਭਿ ਸੁਖ ਹਰਿ ਰਸ ਭੋਗਣੇ; ਸੰਤ ਸਭਾ ਮਿਲਿ ਗਿਆਨੁ ॥
sabh sukh har ras bhogane; sant sabhaa mil giaan |
ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਜੁੜਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਤੂੰ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ-ਗਿਆਨ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਰਾਮ ਤੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਅੰਮਿਤ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਣੇਗਾ।
All comforts and peace, and the Essence of the Lord, are enjoyed by acquiring spiritual wisdom in the Society of the Saints.
ਨਿਤਿ ਅਹਿਨਿਸਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੇਵਿਆ; ਸਤਗੁਰਿ ਦੀਆ ਨਾਮੁ ॥੨॥
nit ahinis har prabh seviaa; satagur deea naam |2|
ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਟਹਿਲ ਕਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Day and night, continually serve the Lord God; the True Guru has given the Naam. ||2||
ਕੂਕਰ ਕੂੜੁ ਕਮਾਈਐ; ਗੁਰ. ਨਿੰਦਾ ਪਚੈ ਪਚਾਨੁ ॥
kookar koorr kamaaeeai; gur. nindaa pachai pachaan |
ਜੋ ਝੁਠ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਕੁੱਤੇ ਦੀ ਮਾਨਿੰਦ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਦਖੋਈ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੜਦਾ ਹੈ।
Those who practice falsehood are dogs; those who slander the Guru shall burn in their own fire.
ਭਰਮੇ ਭੂਲਾ. ਦੁਖੁ ਘਣੋ; ਜਮੁ. ਮਾਰਿ ਕਰੈ ਖੁਲਹਾਨੁ ॥
bharame bhoolaa. dukh ghano; jam. maar karai khulahaan |
ਉਹ ਵਹਿਮ ਅੰਦਰ ਭੰਬਲਭੂਸੇ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਉਠਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਟ ਕੇ ਪੀਪੂ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
They wander lost and confused, deceived by doubt, suffering in terrible pain. The Messenger of Death shall beat them to a pulp.
ਮਨਮੁਖਿ. ਸੁਖੁ ਨ ਪਾਈਐ; ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਸੁਭਾਨੁ ॥੩॥
manamukh. sukh na paaeeai; guramukh sukh subhaan |3|
ਅਧਰਮੀ ਆਰਾਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ। ਗੁਰੂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰੀ ਅਦਭੁਤ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੈ।
The self-willed manmukhs find no peace, while the Gurmukhs are wondrously joyful. ||3||
ਐਥੈ ਧੰਧੁ ਪਿਟਾਈਐ; ਸਚੁ ਲਿਖਤੁ ਪਰਵਾਨੁ ॥
aithai dhandh pittaaeeai; sach likhat paravaan |
ਏਥੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਕੂੜੇ ਵਿਹਾਰਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਗਲਤਾਨ ਹੈ (ਪਰ ਉਥੇ) ਸੱਚੇ ਅਮਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਲਿਖਤਾਕਾਰ ਕਬੂਲ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
In this world, people are engrossed in false pursuits, but in the world hereafter, only the account of your true actions is accepted.
ਹਰਿ ਸਜਣੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਦਾ; ਗੁਰ ਕਰਣੀ ਪਰਧਾਨੁ ॥
har sajan gur sevadaa; gur karanee paradhaan |
ਗੁਰੂ, ਆਪਣੇ ਯਾਰ, ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਟਹਿਲ ਕਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਅਮਲ ਪਰਮ ਉਤਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਹਨ।
The Guru serves the Lord, His Intimate Friend. The Guru's actions are supremely exalted.
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ. ਨ ਵੀਸਰੈ; ਕਰਮਿ ਸਚੈ ਨੀਸਾਣੁ ॥੪॥੧੯॥
naanak naam. na veesarai; karam sachai neesaan |4|19|
ਨਾਨਕ, ਉਹ ਹਰੀ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਭੁਲਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਉਤੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਰਹਿਮਤ ਦਾ ਚਿੰਨ੍ਹ ਹੈ।
O Nanak, never forget the Naam, the Name of the Lord; the True Lord shall bless you with His Mark of Grace. ||4||19||

ਇਕ ਮੁਹਤ ਲਈ ਭੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਲਾਉਣਾ, ਆਤਮਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕ ਭਾਰੀ ਜ਼ਹਿਮਤ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Forgetting the Beloved, even for a moment, the mind is afflicted with terrible diseases.
ਕਿਉ. ਦਰਗਹ ਪਤਿ ਪਾਈਐ; ਜਾ ਹਰਿ. ਨ ਵਸੈ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ॥

ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਰਾਂ ਇਜ਼ਤ ਪਾਈ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜੇਕਰ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਨਾਂ ਕਰੇ?
How can honor be attained in His Court, if the Lord does not dwell in the mind?
ਗੁਰਿ ਮਿਲਿਐ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਈਐ; ਅਗਨਿ ਮਰੈ ਗੁਣ ਮਾਹਿ ॥੧॥

ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਟਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਠੰਢ-ਚੈਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਅੰਦਰ (ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ) ਖਾਹਿਸ਼ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਬੁੱਝ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
Meeting with the Guru, peace is found. The fire is extinguished in His Glorious Praises. ||1||
ਮਨ ਰੇ; ਅਹਿਨਿਸਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਸਾਰਿ ॥

ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੇ! ਦਿਨ ਰੈਣ, ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਰੇਸ਼ਟਤਾਈਆਂ ਦਾ ਚਿੰਤਨ ਕਰ।
O mind, enshrine the Praises of the Lord, day and night.
ਜਿਨ ਖਿਨੁ ਪਲੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਵੀਸਰੈ; ਤੇ ਜਨ ਵਿਰਲੇ ਸੰਸਾਰਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jin khin pal naam na veesarai; te jan virale sansaar |1| rahaau |
ਜਿਹੜੇ ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਲਮ੍ਹੇ ਤੇ ਮੁਹਤ ਭਰ ਲਈ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਭੁਲਾਉਂਦੇ ਐਸੇ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਇਸ ਜਹਾਨ ਅੰਦਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਘੱਟ ਹਨ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।
One who does not forget the Naam, for a moment or even an instant-how rare is such a person in this world! ||1||Pause||
ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਮਿਲਾਈਐ; ਸੁਰਤੀ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਸੰਜੋਗੁ ॥

ਜਦ ਮਨੁਖੀ ਨੂਰ ਪਰਮ ਨੂਰ ਨਾਲ ਅਭੇਦ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਤੇ ਸੰਪੂਰਨ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
When one's light merges into the Light, and one's intuitive consciousness is joined with the Intuitive Consciousness,
ਹਿੰਸਾ ਹਉਮੈ ਗਤੁ ਗਏ; ਨਾਹੀ ਸਹਸਾ ਸੋਗੁ ॥
hinsaa haumai gat ge; naahee sahasaa sog |
ਤਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਦੀਮਾਰ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਖਸਲਤ ਤੇ ਹੰਗਤਾ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਦੇਹ ਤੇ ਗਮ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਖੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ।
then one's cruel and violent instincts and egotism depart, and skepticism and sorrow are taken away.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ. ਜਿਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ; ਤਿਸੁ ਮੇਲੇ ਗੁਰੁ ਸੰਜੋਗੁ ॥੨॥

ਗੁਰੂ-ਪਰਵਰਦਾ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ। ਮਿਲਾਪ ਅੰਦਰ ਮਿਲਾ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
The Lord abides within the mind of the Gurmukh, who merges in the Lord's Union, through the Guru. ||2||
ਕਾਇਆ ਕਾਮਣਿ ਜੇ ਕਰੀ; ਭੋਗੇ ਭੋਗਣਹਾਰੁ ॥
kaaeaa kaaman je karee; bhoge bhoganahaar |
ਜੇਕਰ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਦੇਹਿ ਪਤਨੀ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦੇਵਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਰੰਗ ਮਾਨਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਣ ਲਵੇਗਾ।
If I surrender my body like a bride, the Enjoyer will enjoy me.
ਤਿਸੁ ਸਿਉ. ਨੇਹੁ ਨ ਕੀਜਈ; ਜੋ ਦੀਸੈ ਚਲਣਹਾਰੁ ॥
tis siau. nehu na keejee; jo deesai chalanahaar |
ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਾਂ ਪਾ, ਜਿਹਡਾ ਕਿ ਟੁਰ-ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਜ਼ਰੀ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Do not make love with one who is just a passing show.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਰਵਹਿ ਸੋਹਾਗਣੀ; ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੇਜ ਭਤਾਰੁ ॥੩॥
guramukh raveh sohaaganee; so prabh sej bhataar |3|
ਉਹ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕੰਤ, ਆਪਣੇ ਪਲੰਘ ਉਤੇ, ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਤੇ ਪਾਕ-ਦਾਮਨ ਪਤਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੋਗਦਾ ਹੈ।
The Gurmukh is ravished like the pure and happy bride on the Bed of God, her Husband. ||3||
