ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਸਦਾ ਰਹੈ ਭੈ ਅੰਦਰਿ; ਭੈ ਮਾਰਿ. ਭਰਮੁ ਚੁਕਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੫॥
anadin sadaa rahai bhai andar; bhai maar. bharam chukaavaniaa |5|
ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਸਾਈਂ ਦੇ ਡਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਚਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਡਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਸ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੰਦੇਹ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Night and day, they remain in the Fear of God; conquering their fears, their doubts are dispelled. ||5||
ਭਰਮੁ ਚੁਕਾਇਆ; ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
bharam chukaaeaa; sadaa sukh paaeaa |
ਆਪਣੇ ਵਹਿਮ ਨੂੰ ਨਵਿਰਤ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਸਦੀਵ ਹੀ ਸਥਿਰ ਆਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Dispelling their doubts, they find a lasting peace.
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ; ਪਰਮ ਪਦੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
gur parasaad; param pad paaeaa |
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਇਆ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਹ ਮਹਾਨ ਮਰਤਬੇ ਨੂੰ ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
By Guru's Grace, the supreme status is attained.
ਅੰਤਰੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ. ਨਿਰਮਲ ਬਾਣੀ; ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਸਹਜੇ ਗਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੬॥
antar niramal. niramal baanee; har gun sahaje gaavaniaa |6|
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਦਿਲ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਬੋਲ-ਬਾਣੀ। ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਜੱਸ ਉਹ ਸੁਭਾਵਕ ਹੀ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Deep within, they are pure, and their words are pure as well; intuitively, they sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||6||
ਸਿਮਿ੍ਰਤਿ ਸਾਸਤ ਬੇਦ ਵਖਾਣੈ ॥

ਇਨਸਾਨ ਹਿੰਦੂ ਵਾਰਕ ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਫਲਸਫੇ ਦੇ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਤੇ ਵੇਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਚਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
They recite the Simritees, the Shaastras and the Vedas,
ਭਰਮੇ ਭੂਲਾ; ਤਤੁ ਨ ਜਾਣੈ ॥
bharame bhoolaa; tat na jaanai |
ਸ਼ੱਕ-ਸ਼ੁਬ੍ਹੇ ਦਾ ਗੁਮਰਾਹ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਉਹ ਅਸਲੀਅਤ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦਾ।
but deluded by doubt, they do not understand the essence of reality.
ਬਿਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸੇਵੇ. ਸੁਖੁ ਨ ਪਾਏ; ਦੁਖੋ ਦੁਖੁ ਕਮਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥
bin satigur seve. sukh na paae; dukho dukh kamaavaniaa |7|
ਸਤਿਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਟਹਿਲ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਬਾਝੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਰਾਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਤਕਲੀਫ ਉਤੇ ਤਕਲੀਫ ਹੀ ਖੱਟਦਾ ਹੈ।
Without serving the True Guru, they find no peace; they earn only pain and misery. ||7||
ਆਪਿ ਕਰੇ; ਕਿਸੁ ਆਖੈ ਕੋਈ ॥
aap kare; kis aakhai koee |
ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸਾਰਾ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਕੀਹਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਕੋਈ ਜਣਾ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ?
The Lord Himself acts; unto whom should we complain?
ਆਖਣਿ ਜਾਈਐ; ਜੇ ਭੂਲਾ ਹੋਈ ॥
aakhan jaaeeai; je bhoolaa hoee |
ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਗਿਲਾ ਤਾਂ ਕਰੇ ਜੇਕਰ, ਉਹ ਗਲਤੀ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ।
How can anyone complain that the Lord has made a mistake?
ਨਾਨਕ. ਆਪੇ ਕਰੇ ਕਰਾਏ; ਨਾਮੇ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੮॥੭॥੮॥
naanak. aape kare karaae; naame naam samaavaniaa |8|7|8|
ਨਾਨਕ, ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਸਾਈਂ ਹਰ ਸ਼ੈਅ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਕਰਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਜਾਪ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਨਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
O Nanak, the Lord Himself does, and causes things to be done; chanting the Naam, we are absorbed in the Naam. ||8||7||8||
ਮਾਝ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ॥

ਮਾਝ, ਤੀਜੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ।
Maajh, Third Mehl:
ਆਪੇ ਰੰਗੇ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਏ ॥
aape range sehaj subhaae |
ਆਪ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨਿਰਯਤਨ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਰੰਗਦਾ ਹੈ,
He Himself imbues us with His Love, with effortless ease.
ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ; ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗੁ ਚੜਾਏ ॥
gur kai sabad; har rang charraae |
ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਦੀ ਰੰਗਤ ਚਾੜ੍ਹਦਾ ਹੈ।
Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, we are dyed in the color of the Lord's Love.
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਰਤਾ, ਰਸਨਾ ਰੰਗਿ ਚਲੂਲੀ; ਭੈ ਭਾਇ. ਰੰਗੁ ਚੜਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥
man tan rataa, rasanaa rang chaloolee; bhai bhaae. rang charraavaniaa |1|
ਉਸ ਦੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਤੇ ਦੇਹਿ ਰੰਗੀਜ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜਿਹਭਾ ਪੋਸਤ ਦੇ ਫੁੱਲ ਵਰਗਾ ਲਾਲ ਰੰਗ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਡਰ ਤੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਰੰਗਤ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੀ ਹੈ।
This mind and body are so imbued, and this tongue is dyed in the deep crimson color of the poppy. Through the Love and the Fear of God, we are dyed in this color. ||1||
ਹਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ਵਾਰੀ; ਨਿਰਭਉ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਵਣਿਆ ॥
hau vaaree jeeo vaaree; nirbhau man vasaavaniaa |
ਮੈਂ ਘੋਲੀ ਹਾਂ, ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੜੀ ਘੋਲੀ ਹੈ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੋਂ ਜੋ ਨਿਡਰ ਪੁਰਖ ਨੂੰ, ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਟਿਕਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
I am a sacrifice, my soul is a sacrifice, to those who enshrine the Fearless Lord within their minds.
ਗੁਰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ. ਹਰਿ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਧਿਆਇਆ; ਬਿਖੁ ਭਉਜਲੁ ਸਬਦਿ ਤਰਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
gur kirapaa te. har nirbhau dhiaaeaa; bikh bhaujal sabad taraavaniaa |1| rahaau |
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਇਆ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮੈਂ ਨਿਧੜਕ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਜਰੀਏ ਜਹਿਰੀਲਾ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਪਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।
By Guru's Grace, I meditate on the Fearless Lord; the Shabad has carried me across the poisonous world-ocean. ||1||Pause||
ਮਨਮੁਖ ਮੁਗਧ; ਕਰਹਿ ਚਤੁਰਾਈ ॥
manamukh mugadh; kareh chaturaaee |
ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕੂਲ ਬੁਧੁ ਚਲਾਕੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
The idiotic self-willed manmukhs try to be clever,
ਨਾਤਾ ਧੋਤਾ; ਥਾਇ ਨ ਪਾਈ ॥
naataa dhotaa; thaae na paaee |
ਆਪਣੇ ਨ੍ਹਾਉਣ ਤੇ ਧੋਣ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ, ਉਹ ਕਬੂਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦਾਂ।
but in spite of their bathing and washing, they shall not be acceptable.
ਜੇਹਾ ਆਇਆ. ਤੇਹਾ ਜਾਸੀ; ਕਰਿ ਅਵਗਣ ਪਛੋਤਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੨॥
jehaa aaeaa. tehaa jaasee; kar avagan pachhotaavaniaa |2|
ਜਿਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਉਹ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ, ਉਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਹੀ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਤੇ ਝੁਰੇਵਾਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਉਹ ਟੁਰ ਜਾਏਗਾ।
As they came, so shall they go, regretting the mistakes they made. ||2||
ਮਨਮੁਖ ਅੰਧੇ; ਕਿਛੂ ਨ ਸੂਝੈ ॥
manamukh andhe; kichhoo na soojhai |
ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਅਧਰਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿਸਦਾ।
The blind, self-willed manmukhs do not understand anything;
ਮਰਣੁ ਲਿਖਾਇ ਆਏ; ਨਹੀ ਬੂਝੈ ॥
maran likhaae aae; nahee boojhai |
ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਮੌਤ ਲਿਖਾ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਜਹਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦਾ।
death was pre-ordained for them when they came into the world, but they do not understand.
ਮਨਮੁਖ ਕਰਮ ਕਰੇ. ਨਹੀ ਪਾਏ; ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਵੈ. ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੩॥
manamukh karam kare. nahee paae; bin naavai. janam gavaavaniaa |3|
ਆਪ-ਹੁਦਰਾ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਮਜਹਬੀ ਕਰਮਕਾਂਡ ਕਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਂਸਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ, ਅਤੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਆ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
The self-willed manmukhs may practice religious rituals, but they do not obtain the Name; without the Name, they lose this life in vain. ||3||
ਸਚੁ ਕਰਣੀ; ਸਬਦੁ ਹੈ ਸਾਰੁ ॥
sach karanee; sabad hai saar |
ਸੱਚ ਦੀ ਕਮਾਈ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੀ ਗੁਰ-ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਅਸਲ ਤੱਤ ਹੈ।
The practice of Truth is the essence of the Shabad.
ਪੂਰੈ ਗੁਰਿ ਪਾਈਐ; ਮੋਖ ਦੁਆਰੁ ॥
poorai gur paaeeai; mokh duaar |
ਪੂਰਨ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਦਾ ਦਰਵਾਜਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Through the Perfect Guru, the gate of salvation is found.
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੁਣਾਏ; ਸਚਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਰੰਗਿ ਰੰਗਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੪॥
anadin baanee sabad sunaae; sach raate rang rangaavaniaa |4|
ਰੈਣ ਦਿਹੁੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਈਸ਼ਵਰੀ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸੱਚੇ ਸਾਈਂ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗੇ ਹੋਏ, ਉਹ ਰੱਬ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੰਗਦੇ ਹਨ।
So, night and day, listen to the Word of the Guru's Bani, and the Shabad. Let yourself be colored by this love. ||4||
ਰਸਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਸਿ ਰਾਤੀ; ਰੰਗੁ ਲਾਏ ॥
rasanaa har ras raatee; rang laae |
ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗੀ ਹੋਈ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿਹਭਾ ਮੌਜਾਂ ਮਾਣਦੀ ਹੈ।
The tongue, imbued with the Lord's Essence, delights in His Love.
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਮੋਹਿਆ; ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਏ ॥
man tan mohiaa; sehaj subhaae |
ਮੇਰੀ ਆਤਮਾਂ ਤੇ ਦੇਹਿ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤੇ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਸਨੇਹ ਨਾਲ ਫਰੇਫਤਾ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
My mind and body are enticed by the Lord's Sublime Love.
ਸਹਜੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਪਾਇਆ; ਸਹਜੇ ਸਹਜਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੫॥
sahaje preetam piaaraa paaeaa; sahaje sehaj milaavaniaa |5|
ਮੈਂ ਸੁਖੈਨ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਿੱਠੜੇ ਦਿਲਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮ ਆਨੰਦ ਅੰਦਰ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ।
I have easily obtained my Darling Beloved; I am intuitively absorbed in celestial peace. ||5||
ਜਿਸੁ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਰੰਗੁ; ਸੋਈ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ॥
jis andar rang; soee gun gaavai |
ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਜੱਸ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ,
Those who have the Lord's Love within, sing His Glorious Praises;
ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ; ਸਹਜੇ ਸੁਖਿ ਸਮਾਵੈ ॥
gur kai sabad; sahaje sukh samaavai |
ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਖ-ਮੱਤ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸੁਖੈਨ ਹੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਨੰਦ ਅੰਦਰ ਸਮਾਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, they are intuitively absorbed in celestial peace.
ਹਉ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਸਦਾ, ਤਿਨ ਵਿਟਹੁ; ਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੬॥
hau balihaaree sadaa, tin vittahu; gur sevaa chit laavaniaa |6|
ਮੈਂ ਸਦੀਵ ਹੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੋਂ ਘੋਲੀ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਘਾਲ ਅੰਦਰ ਸਮਰਪਣ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
I am forever a sacrifice to those who dedicate their consciousness to the Guru's Service. ||6||
ਸਚਾ ਸਚੋ ਸਚਿ ਪਤੀਜੈ ॥
sachaa sacho sach pateejai |
ਸੱਚਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨਿਰੋਲ ਸੱਚ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
The True Lord is pleased with Truth, and only Truth.
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਅੰਦਰੁ ਭੀਜੈ ॥
gur parasaadee andar bheejai |
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਦਾ ਸਦਕਾ ਆਦਮੀ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਚ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
By Guru's Grace, one's inner being is deeply imbued with His Love.
ਬੈਸਿ ਸੁਥਾਨਿ. ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਹਿ; ਆਪੇ ਕਰਿ ਸਤਿ ਮਨਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥
bais suthaan. har gun gaaveh; aape kar sat manaavaniaa |7|
ਸੁਬਹਾਨ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਬੈਠ ਕੇ, ਸਾਧੂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਵਾਦ ਆਲਾਪਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਖੁਦ ਆਪਣੀ ਰਜਾ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮਨਵਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Sitting in that blessed place, sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, who Himself inspires us to accept His Truth. ||7||
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ; ਸੋ ਪਾਏ ॥
jis no nadar kare; so paae |
ਜਿਸ ਉਤੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਜਰ ਧਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
That one, upon whom the Lord casts His Glance of Grace, obtains it.
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ; ਹਉਮੈ ਜਾਏ ॥
gur parasaadee; haumai jaae |
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਹਿਮਤ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਹੰਗਤਾ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
By Guru's Grace, egotism departs.
ਨਾਨਕ. ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸੈ ਮਨ ਅੰਤਰਿ; ਦਰਿ ਸਚੈ ਸੋਭਾ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੮॥੮॥੯॥
naanak. naam vasai man antar; dar sachai sobhaa paavaniaa |8|8|9|
ਨਾਨਕ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸੱਚੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਮਾਣ ਇੱਜਤ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
O Nanak, that one, within whose mind the Name dwells, is honored in the True Court. ||8||8||9||

ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਟਹਿਲ ਕਮਾਉਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪਰਮ ਸੋਭਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ,
Serving the True Guru is the greatest greatness.
ਹਰਿ ਜੀ ਅਚਿੰਤੁ ਵਸੈ. ਮਨਿ ਆਈ ॥

ਅਤੇ ਪੂਜਯ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਸੁੱਤੇ ਸਿੱਧ ਹੀ ਚਿੱਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਆ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
The Dear Lord automatically comes to dwell in the mind.
ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ. ਸਫਲਿਓ ਬਿਰਖੁ ਹੈ ਅੰਮਿ੍ਰਤੁ; ਜਿਨਿ ਪੀਤਾ. ਤਿਸੁ ਤਿਖਾ ਲਹਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥

ਮਾਣਨੀਯ ਮਾਲਕ ਫਲਦਾਰ ਪੌਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੋ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਆਬਿ-ਹਿਯਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਤ੍ਰੇਹ ਬੁਝ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
The Dear Lord is the fruit-bearing tree; drinking in the Ambrosial Nectar, thirst is quenched. ||1||
ਹਉ ਵਾਰੀ; ਜੀਉ ਵਾਰੀ; ਸਚੁ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥
hau vaaree; jeeo vaaree; sach sangat mel milaavaniaa |
ਮੈਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਹਾਂ, ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦਗੀ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਉਤੋਂ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਾਧ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਅੰਦਰ ਮਿਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
I am a sacrifice, my soul is a sacrifice, to the one who leads me to join the True Congregation.
ਹਰਿ ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਆਪੇ ਮੇਲੈ; ਗੁਰਸਬਦੀ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਖੁਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਚਿਆਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਭਾ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਤਾਬੇ ਬੰਦਾ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕੀਰਤੀ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।
